Its Sunday afternoon and I finally decided to try this place out and first impression was great! No crowds and I was able to get extra attention. In a nice neighborhood of retail and other restaurants space. Finding the place was not very difficult at all. Right away I noticed their quaint courtyard that you can sit but it was very hot to sit outside. Maybe once it cools down it may be a good way to enjoy a taco sitting outside in the courtyard. Upon entering I was greeted automatically by the staff. Took my time looking at the menu while waiting for my friend. Menu was on the wall, and they had laminated menus available. This is a definitely great for vegans, vegetarian and everyone else. My friend is vegan, and I was open to any delicious and healthy. I finally ordered and I told the cashier/ host gentleman that it was my first time, and it was my friends second time. Carlos was very patient with us. I ordered 3 tacos, the Cane Asada, Al Pastor, and fish taco. To drink I tried their Pineapple Aqua fresca. I asked out kind hostess, Carlos what does mole taste like because I was questioning the plaintains con mole taco. He was very kind to let us try just the mole and plaintain and for extra he let us try the jamaica aqua which was very refreshing and definely will order it next time. Another winning dining experience at Tacotarian! Today, my sis and I tried a Mexican pizza. It was tastey and plenty of food for two. It was also national taco day so we got free potato tacos! One a piece and we were so stoked! They were delicious as well. I will definitely be getting those tacos next time. Our cashier was friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. Since Tacotarian opened their Henderson location, which is right down the street from my house, I've been dying to take my two best friends here, who both follow a very strict vegan diet. Pre-COVID, they've introduced me to many vegan places all around the Las Vegas valley. Sadly, I can't take them out to eat anymore because they are still taking COVID very seriously. I just couldn't wait any longer to visit Tacotarian, and I can't believe I haven't stopped in here yet! My mom wanted to meet up for lunch and I decided on here. Tacotarian can be found between Boom Bang and Toro Sushi in the Smiths shopping complex. They used to be a Starbucks, which I visited on a VERY frequent basis before COVID lockdowns went into effect and then they went out of business. To be fair, it was a little strange stepping into what used to be a coffee shop. Now, let me tell you how excellent their food was! I ordered their chips and salsa and a fish taco, with a Sprite to cool down with, and my mom ordered their chimichanga burrito with rice and beans on the side. Their chimichanga burrito is HUGE. It was so huge that my mom wanted me to share it with her. Everything that we ordered was just full of flavor. I already want to come back because I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I like that they have a spacious patio, but with the excessive heat warning currently in effect, it was much too hot to sit outside. Instead, we sat in the cool interior at a cozy booth. Tacotarian was one of the very first spots I tried since moving to Vegas. I didn't know that they had this dope Brunch menu until I slid on over mid afternoon on day. Food 5 out of 5 stars across the board!!! Birria Grilled Cheese - Sourdough bread toasted with Good Planet™ cheese and filled with house made birria. Served with dipping broth and a side of fries. I would have NEVER thought to make this, but I'm so happy they did! You get the dip that you want and I had tomatillo sauce to add a little extra to it. Birria Platter- 4 birria tacos (beyond and jackfruit blend) with dipping broth. This reminds me of those street tacos you want after a night out. It hits the spot every single time. Mole Enchiladas - 3 corn tortillas, mashed potatoes, pastor, white cheese, crema. You can choose your own "meat" and sauce and it comes with a side salad, rice and beans. I grew up eating this all the time back home and this is the 1st time since being vegan that's compared to that nostalgia I've been missing. Pineapple Aqua Fresca - fresh and refreshing! My first experience is through takeout. When I opened my boxes my jaw dropped. The food is beautiful first and foremost. The taste is remarkable. I'm going to have trouble eating animal based Mexican food in the future, I probably won't anytime soon. This place is our new fixation! Enchilada plate with Barbacoa half and half for the sauce. First I am not a vegetarian but have friends who are and have been here several times. The first few times staff was very friendly today they were nice just not as out going. I've brought my friend from Australia when she came to visit and she loved it all. Today we had some friends from California come visit and I said let's try this place. They are both vegetarians. They were like we wish we had this close to us. They live in the LA area. My friend said I would be here everyday. She was very excited to have the tortilla soup, she got it to go. She had the chilaquiles, her husband had taco platter and we shared chip and salsa, taki elote, and Cauliflower ceviche. Which man the ceviche was so yummy!! This was our first time at Tacotarian. I've always heard great things but I've never gone. After eating there I now understand the hype! We got the taco platter which was about $15 for 3 tacos of your choosing, rice, beans and salad. It was a great bang for your buck. I ordered the al pastor, barbacoa, and chorizo and they were all fire! We are not vegan, so we regularly eat meat and let me tell you, we couldn't tell the difference. My husband loved it all also. This is a cute and clean place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I appreciate when places have a clear menu, which this place does have. The food was pretty solid. I ordered the flautas--the portion size was great and everything tasted really fresh. The horchata was also good. It had a lot of cinnamon in it compared to other places, which I didn't mind. The elote was also yummy, but the amount of crushed chips on the outside was a bit much for my taste. As someone who is transitioning to a more plant based diet, I appreciate places like this. It makes it easy to order without having to search the fine print. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because I personally find it a bit pricey for what it was. So for me, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. BUT I do recommend giving it a try, especially if you're vegetarian/vegan. read more

Okay... OKAY. There aren't a lot of things that draw me to Vegas at this point in my life. The places I get excitement from aren't the clubs but the restaurants, especially the new ones that have popped up/Especially the vegan ones! I feel like the vegan options have exploded since the last time I was in Las Vegas, and just more exciting restaurants in general! We luckily had a car and were able to explore the neighborhoods outside of the strip, but there is one much closer that I will be checking out next time. Not only was the inside such a vibe, the menu was too good that I didn't even know what I wanted to get. I had to look ahead of time and plan, but then changed my mind a million times once we arrived because the options were so good. We were going on a hike after so I didn't want to fill up on too much spicy mexican food, so I went easy. The 2 tacos I got were so good, and I still don't remember what ones i ended up picking. The elotes were pretty limey, spicier than I expected with the Taki- style crumble on top, but something about them made it so hard to stop eating. I want to go back and just pig out on as much as I can. Maybe try some of the drinks, you know- go crazy. Tacotarian is a solid spot for fresh Mexican food. I won't even say it's good for vegan food because it's just good food. Their online ordering is easy and efficient. I placed an order on their website and was quoted about 15 minutes until it'd be ready. When I arrived it was all ready to go in the takeout area at the end of the counter. The inside of the restaurant is bright and inviting. They have about a dozen tables inside. I'm hoping to enjoy a meal there soon. The Taco Platter was delicious and plenty of food. At 11.99 I thought the pricing was reasonable. The Plantain Con Mole taco was my favorite. The sweet plantains and mole made such a great flavor combination. The Asada taco was very good to my surprise. All of the flavors were tasty and I liked the texture of the Asada. The Mushroom taco was my least favorite, but not a bad taco.
