If I could give more than 5 stars I would, this place was absolutely amazing. We went to the location in Henderson. They have two other locations in Vegas as well. This vegan Mexican food concept was born out of a trip to Mexico City where the owners were inspired by so many veggie dishes with such flavor and love. They wanted to bring a modern take on Mexican culture and food to Las Vegas and they succeeded. While the focus is on their large taco selection, they offer many other Mexican staples with a twist. The food is absolutely delicious, the vegetarian factor does not compromise on the flavors and every dish we tried was mouth watering. We tried the Holy Guacamole - made fresh daily with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and fresh limes, served with tortilla chips. The Flautas - corn tortilla, mashed potato, cheddar, chorizo, crema, salsa Morita, Burrito Regular - you get your choice of "meat", we chose vegan "carne asada" with pinto beans, rice, crema, pico, guac, and salsa Morita. Wow... outstanding!!! We also met one of the owners, Carlos, who was there that day, so lovely and charming. He treated us to some Horchara and aguas Fresca drink, as well as some off the menu mini tacos that I just about died for. The place is cute, clean, earthy. Tacotarian is a plant based Mexican eatery. It's 2nd location has moved into the corner spot (old Starbucks location) in the stripmall on the corner of Paseo Verde and Valle Verde off of the 215. So excited for this new addition to Green Valley! Twisted is also in the same shopping center, and Mochinut is in the works! Placed an order via phone for takeout on Saturday and it was busy! They let us know when we placed the order that it would be 40 minute wait. Arrived at the restaurant and it was as packed as it sounded, but our food was ready and service was super friendly. Inside was nice and clean. Now to the food, not being plant based, I wasn't sure if I would like everything. But I did not miss the meat, at all! Speaking as a non-vegetarian, this place was pretty good. The taco plate (I ordered barbacoa, beans and cheese, and mushroom) was pricey ($16!) for vegetables. The tortillas tasted mildly undercooked, but corn tortillas often do to me when they're not piping hot. The mushroom taco (sautéed mushrooms, cilantro, onions) was fab, the beans and cheese was alright, and the barbacoa was the most disappointing considering I have been very excited to try jackfruit in this form. It tasted like pickled artichoke hearts- almost identical. It didn't taste or feel like meat. The chips and salsa were decent, the chips were nothing to write home about. I try to explore the "specials" when offered because they get super creative with them. It's hard to say what I love the best here, possibly the delicious margaritas. As a long-time vegan, I am accustomed to meat substitutes. They offer some of the 'Impossible' Brand sort of beef. I like that fine but I also like meat that is based on portabello mushroom, jack fruit, and grilled vegetables. They also have chicken, pork, and fish substitutes. I like them all. My 'non-vegan' wife likes the chicken enchilada with green sauce. All the dishes come with black beans and Spanish rice. Is it good?: Yes it is. The tastes are clean and fresh. It used to be Mexican food was judged by the use of lard in the beans. But, even modern authentic Mexican food has become more healthful and 'lighter' in flavor. So if you compare old-school Mexican food with the new style you will notice the difference. This is clearly leaning toward clean flavors and away from high-fat and lard-based flavors. This little restaurant is tucked away in the Smiths parking lot. This place used to be a Starbucks years ago. I When you come in it's a walk up and order. They have a wide array of items to choose from. Appetizers, tacos, burritos, and salads. But let me just say........Vegan Tacos?!?!? What the?!?!? I ordered the taco platter that comes with your choice of tacos, rice and beans. I mixed it up and got the Carne Asada, Al Pastor and Barrbacoa Tacos. I love tacos and this place blew my expectations of Vegan tacos out of the water! I received my warm chips and salsa for my appetizer. The salsa was freshly made and chips were nice and warm to go with it. My three tacos then arrived piping hot. They were served on a hot taco stand surrounded by delicious black beans and flavorful Spanish rice. When eating their tacos though, I literally could not believe I wasn't eating meat. We visit this place often. The food is always excellent. However, depending on who's on for a certain shift, the music is horrible. Yesterday was extremely LOUD rap music. We stayed and ate there but ate in a hurry. Prior to that, we were there in the evening and I can't even describe that music. It was heavy metal, I believe. The first time we went there it was amazing. The people were friendly. There was water on the counter with I think, mint or cucumber in it. We had a wonderful experience and the food was wonderful. The last time we went, it was absolutely the opposite of the first experience. There was no water on the counter, though cashier was rude when we asked where the water was. Looking for a Saturday morning brunch. We "discovered" Tacotarian after eating at Boom Bang next door. No, I am not a vegan and generally shy away from places that are exclusively plant based. We knew that they have a brunch menu on weekends and wanted to give it a try. I was tempted to try their vegan bacon, lettuce and tomato (plus avocado) sandwich but "chickened" out. And went with a more traditional brunch item, the Just Omelet ($14). It is a very fluffy omelet with vegan eggs, mushrooms, onion, corn, poblano, and vegan cheddar topped with chili mayo and avocado. Soooo good. Comes with a side of fruit and a side of breakfast potatoes. I also asked for a side of mild salsa. Boy if that is their mild, the hot must melt through the plate. Way too much for this gringo palate. The patio is behind the restaurant away from the parking lot. Quite lovely. You order at the counter and they bring you the food as soon as it is ready. Ours came out in under 5 minutes. Served on metal plates with real silverware - so I guess it is a cross between fast food and sit down. At this price point, excellent value for really good food and ambiance. We will be back. read more

The food is amazing. The Dorado taco and chicken milensa tacos are my favorite. The cauliflower ceviche has a beautiful acidity and is worth a try. Typically I get the fried oreos, but I tried their churros this time, dare I say, they had too much cinnamon and sugar?, I would recommend the fried oreos, but both are fantastic. The best margarita you can find anywhere. Get the strawberry margarita with a tajin rim. If you go during happy hour its like $6 and perfection. I have eaten incredible VEGAN Mexican food, but these tacos were flavorless and dry.I kept taking more and more bites but it just kept being a disappointment. I don't know how it's possible but they got worse and worse with ever bite. Have you heard of cumin, chili powder, onion, or SALT?! The ONLY reason I did not give it one star is because vegan food is important and it was decent service. Happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday while shopping in the area. I love good plant based food and Mexican cuisine is my top three. My mate and I sat down with a menu and I was honestly amazed at how many choices I had. I asked for help from Arturo and Montoya, both helpful and friendly manager and order takers at the front. The Baja taco was my favorite item with the bean and cheese taco next, followed by their delicious black beans and flavorful rice. My mate is a burrito sort of guy and we ordered the Cali burrito with ground beef (plant based) because he loves French fry crunchiness. This was the only item that we found a bit disappointing because the inside was very soupy which negated any crunch from the French fries and the lettuce made no sense with the wet interior. It made for a soggy texture that lacked flavor and was not something we'd order again. I look forward to eating here again and trying new things and their salsas were flavorful and quite zippy! We busted a last minute mission to Vegas and I had my mind on one thing, Tacotarian. As soon as we got into town, we checked in, dropped our shit, and headed out. We were immediately greeted by some of the friendliest team members I have run into in a long while. I forget their name but I told them it was our first time and they offered some recs. There is so much to choose from and while we ordered a lot, a part of me knew I should have ordered food to go. We ordered: -Birria Platter - Very flavorful, I could've knocked back two orders -Cauliflower Ceviche - VERY GOOD, a lot of lime, seasoned very well. I just wish it was cut into smaller pieces but I would still order it again. -Caliburrito - My husband's order. I don't remember how it tasted but I don't remember disliking it. -Guac - the guac is ok, could use more lime and more salt The Mango and Tamarindo margs are really good and strong and the Horchata is some of the best vegan Horchata I have had in a long time.
