Lately I've been getting the avocado pesto sandwich with a side of salad and love it! The flavors are amazing! I also feel healthy once I leave but sometimes... I get the coconut cream pie or the chocolate peanut butter pie. Both are so good. I do favor the coconut cream a little more though. My friend who is not Vegan will come with me here as he also loves the avocado pesto sandwich with a side of salad. I like when he comes because he also buys french fries. Tee hee... I sneak a few. Now if I was strictly a vegan this place would be 5 stars. My only concern is knowing exactly what ingredients are in the food. For example it would be nice if the "secret sauce" listed the exact ingredients, but I know that would be highly difficult. Anyhow other than the food being really salt forward. Heading back to California after a week's stay for my bday celebration, we decided to stop in and try out some items at this place. The restaurant is located on the second floor. There are stairs or there's an elevator located close by for the ADA. It is very small inside: 3 tables pushed up against the wall so they only accommodate 3 seats each. About 15 high top chairs around the perimeter of the windows accounted for the bulk of the seating. The service from the staff was very nice and friendly. Since it was our first time, they gave us a chance to look over the menu and ask questions. They were very accommodating to our requests for substitutions and even recooked our French fries to make them softer. My son and I shared the Salami sandwich with fries and I also got the southern fried oyster mushrooms with a Housemade dragonfruit lemonade. My son despises any vegan cheese or vegan mayo and he tore this sandwich UP! He even added extra mayo on his half of the sandwich. The olive jalapeño tapenade was tasty and really pulled the sandwich together but it was slightly spicy so careful to those who are sensitive to spice. The southern seasoned oyster mushrooms were so flavorful. The batter was light and crispy, the mushrooms were sliced thick and not too thin. One of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was okay. I am so down for Down 2 Earth! We stopped here for lunch on our drive to Vegas. Since this spot is south of the strip, it's conveniently on the way to our hotel. After dining on cold floppy peanut butter sandwiches, apples, cuties, protein bars, nuts, and oatmeal for four days (see previous review), I was more than ready for a hot substantial meal. I whipped out my handy Yelp app and decided upon Down 2 Earth - my criteria being "not on the Vegas strip" and "somewhat close to the airport." I should have been a little more scrupulous about the actual location of this restaurant, as it's buried in a massive outdoor shopping center - which was very bustling as we happened upon it during F1 weekend. The restaurant itself is very casual - like stool seating against the window (allows for some interesting people watching) and a handful of tables. We ended up ordering the Southern Fried Oyster Mushrooms, Chik'n Wings with teriyaki sauce, and two Impossible Hoagie Sandwich. The wings seemed to be seitan based (?), very reminiscent of vegan wings I've had at other vegan restaurants - and very sauced up! The sweet savory teriyaki sauce was particularly satisfying to me after my many days of consuming erm, rather bland food. The mushrooms were great as well - very chewy and a nice crispy breading! The hoagie really brought the "Big Mac" vibes to me! My friend remarked that she couldn't really taste the Impossible bits, but I could discern there were in there - just chopped up little bits. I could have used a better filling versus bread ratio, but I think that's often been the case for me. The food wasn't terribly unique, but i was so happy to chomp down on it during our visit here! The kitchen staff was also so kind of to charge my Apple Watch for me behind the counter! I had been looking forward to returning to Down-to-Earth Plant-Based Cuisine, especially to try their chicken tenders, fries, and mushrooms. The prices are decent for plant-based food since healthier options are usually pricier, so I was excited Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite meet my expectations this time. For starters, I don't love visiting Vegas because 1) it's entirely too expensive and 2) there aren't many vegan spots on the strip. However, this gem, which is 12min away from the strip, has made Vegas my favorite city! The Mac and Cheese is hands down the best I've ever had!! It is oowee gooey greatness, with a little bit of crispy on the top. The Patty Melt quite literally melts in your mouth and elevates you to vegan paradise! So, let me start by saying you will have to do a little searching for this establishment if you decide to visit. It is located in the Town Square shopping center but it can be difficult to find if you don't know where to look. Here is an easy way to find it: drive around to the AMC theater park in any free parking space in the rear of the theater and then walk around to the front entrance. If you do this not only will you not have to pay for parking but if you take the escalator right across the entrance from the theater you will come up to the 2nd floor and then make an immediate right turn. The establishment is small, quaint, and very clean. The customer service is great and the waiter was very gracious. Now to the FOOD it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. I had the impossible Hoagie and needless to say it was the best VEGAN HOAGIE I HAVE EVER HAD. I had a vegan hoagie in Tampa Florida a few years back and of course I have had some pretty good sandwiches at Capriotti's but none of them can match the one I had at this establishment. I really like this place although it's pretty hard to find if you're eating there in person and pretty small. The sunlight comes in off the windows when it's hot and the light is glaring if you come in the high part of the day. Food wise I really enjoy the pizza and the chicken strips. I'm gluten-free and I do wish that there were a few more gluten-free options here but overall, I have been many times and will continue to go. I think it's almost better if you order out. read more

Menu offers a nice selection of pizza, sandwiches, breakfast items, small plates, specialty dish, and desserts. Most popular item is the Southern Fried Oyster Mushrooms ($13.99) served with vegan tartar sauce. It's a good portion of desert moon mushrooms in special seasoned batter that's deep fried crunchy, and looks like vegan fried chicken. Vitality Bowl ($16.99) is magnificent! It has soft and fluffy ancient grains of brown rice, quinoa, barley, and kale, served with roasted desert moon mushrooms which is incredibly tender and flavorful. It's like teriyaki and has roasted sweet potatoes, scrumptious blueberry & strawberry arugula salad with crunchy pepitas, a wonderful balsamic glaze, and absolutely delicious! Hands down the best fried oyster mushrooms I've ever had in life!!! I also got the breakfast platter. The pancakes and hash brown were good. The house salad was good. My husband got the po boy sandwich and he loved it! We thought about going twice in a weekend, it was that good. The customer service is on point. In my first two reviews, I wrote about the Impossible Hoagie and Beef N' Broccoli Pizza. More recently, for brunch, I've had the Breakfast Sandwich and Breakfast Platter, which were both very good and filling when I split them with another person. During my most recent visit, at night, I again had the Breakfast Sandwich, partly because it was lower-priced compared to most other items on the menu. While it was being prepared, I could hear the oil bubbling in the deep fryer. There was nobody in line ahead of me, so the food was brought to me quickly. It was very hot, as it had just come out of the fryer. So, I should have waited for 10 minutes before eating it. As I've mentioned in my other reviews, the seating area is minimal, with not much to look at, so you're better off getting the food to go. The menu pricing is rather expensive, on par with a place like Yard House. It is made up entirely of comfort foods, much of which is fried. Sandwiches and Pizza are what they specialize in. I celebrated Juneteenth this year by hiking one of my favorite trails in Mt. Charleston, and I stopped by Down 2 Earth Plant Based Cuisine afterwards for dinner. I first visited Down 2 Earth Plant Based Cuisine at their former location off of Russell Road near the Harry Reid International Airport for Black History Month in 2022, and I became an instant fan after having their vegan pizza. They are now located in Town Square Las Vegas and continuing to delight our palates with their masterfully crafted vegan dishes. On this particular visit, I ordered the Southern Fried Oyster Mushrooms, the Vitality Bowl, and a cup of sweet tea (not pictured). Here are some specific things I enjoyed about the restaurant: #1. The customer service was top notch! The cashier conversed with me like I was an old friend. Chef Parker made a cameo appearance, and I talked to someone who I think was the store manager for about five minutes before leaving the restaurant. #2. The kitchen is lightning fast. I waited at most five minutes for my food to be prepared. While the restaurant looks empty from my photos, those pictures were taken during the few minutes I had the dining room all to myself. In actuality, there were people in the restaurant eating when I first arrived, and someone else came in before I left and placed an order. #3. The food here is as blazing hot as Las Vegas in the summertime, and it's one of my favorite vegan/Black-owned restaurants in the Valley. If they a location in Henderson, I would definitely be a regular. I tried the Southern Fried Oyster Mushrooms in the restaurant while they were still fresh and hot. They were so good and surprisingly light that I smashed the entire container before I left. When I got home and dived into the Vitality Bowl, I was once again a happy camper. Each bite delivered an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The mushrooms tasted like barbecue pulled pork (a dish that immediately takes me back home to the Memphis Metro Area), and the bowl had the perfect mix of sweet, savory, crunchy, chewy, peppery, and nutty goodness. Another thing that won me over was the fact that this flavor-packed bowl was the lightest bowl I've ever had. Nom nom! #4. Location. I rarely visit the area near Town Square Las Vegas and the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets.
