Every Las Vegas trip should come with a mandatory stop at The Modern Vegan. Whether you're sitting down or grabbing it to-go, you're in for a serious amount of food! Their online ordering can be a little hit-or-miss, so we usually skip the website drama and just order at the host desk. Your food is typically ready in about 15 minutes, and they write your order right on the boxes--which is a lifesaver when you're picking up a feast. Utensils are provided, too. And when I say the portions are MASSIVE, I mean it. You definitely get your money's worth. We've never gone wrong with the burgers or any of the mac-n-cheese plates. My personal favorite, though? The Oreo milkshake. It's dangerously good. One of the hosts also recommended a "secret" menu item: milkshake that tasted exactly like an Orange Creamsicle. That was a fun surprise and definitely one of those "trust the staff" moments! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We usually grab our food and take it back to our place, but the restaurant itself is a comfortable spot, too. There's a bar area with high-top seating and a separate restaurant section, TVs showing the latest sports, plenty of space between tables, and thankfully, it's not overly noisy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hosts/servers were especially attentive on this trip--2 out of the 3 we interacted with were genuinely kind and gave us some great suggestions. It's been several years since I last visited The Modern Vegan, and after working on a Saturday, I walked in feeling capital-H HUNGRY! I had recently been eating a healthy vegan and gluten-free diet at a yoga retreat and noticed how much better I was feeling, so I was craving that same kind of nourishing experience today. She was patient with all my questions, attentive, and provided genuinely great service. I would absolutely order it again. If I were making a couple of tiny tweaks next time, I might go with fresh avocado instead of guacamole if that's an option, and I'd probably get the cheese sauce on the side. But honestly, those are just personal preferences because the skillet was fantastic. I really wanted to love The Modern Vegan because the menu and presentation looked so promising, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. The service was incredibly slow, and it appeared there was only one person working, which made for a long wait. I understand staffing issues happen, but it definitely impacted the overall experience. Some of the selections sounded more creative if you're feeling adventurous. We opted for Pad Thai at the server's suggestion and a creamy pasta dish. Both were very good, but not something I'd call crave worthy. I was taken aback at how huge the entree portions were. Everything on the table was a mountain of food that could feed two people (or one very hungry human). I'd consider sharing if you dine here and don't want leftovers and hate wasting food. I still can't get over the massive portion sizes. You will not go hungry here. Prices are in line with the quality and size of the entrees. My favorite thing we had were the cauliflower wings. If I go back here, I would get those as my main course. They're listed as a appetizer and the serving is more than enough for me for lunch! We got bbq and buffalo, and the buffalo "wings" were what I would call outstanding: crispy on the outside yet soft and tender on the inside. The "lobster" is actually heart of palm which was super tender, really flavorful. The scrambler was solid too, maybe leaned a little heavy on the potatoes but still hit the spot. It's important to note that my friend eats all the things, so for her to be equally obsessed with this place says a lot! As someone that has been coming to Las Vegas annually since 2022, The Modern Vegan has been one of my Vegas staples every time! Truly one of my favorite restaurants I have ever experienced. The food is some of the most boundary pushing plant-based cuisine I have ever had the pleasure of trying. Plus their extensive and creative menu will keep you interested for many repeat visits. As wonderful as the food is, one of TMV's true pillars to their business is how incredible their staff is. On our most recent visit, our server Carlos went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dining experience possible. We stopped by on our drive from LA and were so excited to get our favs. We don't live in Vegas but I used to come often for work and stop by TMV. Sadly it seems to have gone downhill. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and chicken poppers. I admittedly am not vegan but I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious flavorful dishes. I should have gotten the chicken however. Made it out to The Modern Vegan! It was absolutely delicious! My aunt had the cowboy burger with sweet potato fries and I had the breakfast burrito with breakfast potatoes. We shared some of the best fried pickles I've ever had! The food really is incredible! The server was very good and filled out water glasses regularly. Came here recently while in town for a conference. There was no tonic for a G&T so I opted for iced tea which had some faint flavor to it (floral ish?). I had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. I wish there was an option for blue cheese but ranch was the only option. It was good but BIG. I ended up deconstructing the second half. Um, wow. What an awkward first experience at The Modern Vegan. Where do I start? Walking in, we tried to make conversation with the hostess and ask her for recommendations and she seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Which, okay, understandable, it's probably too early for that anyway (11:00am). We started off with some drinks but it took +30 minutes for a water refill and another half hour for the food to come out. The place was not busy at all but I think the workers were not having it with each other and there was a lot of shady remarks made along with frustration. The tensions were high between some of the workers to the point where we saw one of them slam the doors to go to the back. Everything and everyone was just off so we didn't eat our food at the establishment and we just packed up and left. Also, please do not touch your customers! This guy who was not even our server came to our table to talk to us and my friend who was having a headache had his eyes closed and the guy rubbed his shoulders. This made my friend extremely uncomfortable since we didn't know this stranger. read more

I really liked my mashed potatoes on my crab cake Benedict. I wasn't a fan of the crab cake, it tasted like potato salad to me. My friends dish of fried chicken with biscuits and gravy was a solid 5/5! read more

Delicious vegan food and what an extensive menu! It is nice to walk into a restaurant as a long time vegan and have to look at all of the options on the menu and take time to decide. I have been here several times an it is a pleasure to try something new every time. read more
