So much tortilla leftover from the quesadilla. Not enough meat or cheese. There's some fatty pieces too. Would not recommend at all
    Eric N.

I was visiting El Paso and my friend who lives there recommended this place. I was pretty busy when we entered, an hour before closing. I got a sirloin quesadilla. It was pretty tasteless and there wasn't enough cheese to fill the tortilla. I wasn't much of a fan of any of their salsas, so that didn't help me out with the taste. This place feels like an upscale McDonalds. Bad lighting, a few TVs on the wall tuned to sports.

    Empty at dinner time.

The cashier definitely has a poor attitude and was bothered that I was not familiar with the menu since it was my first visit here. (And the last).

Taco tote was just OK. It bothered me that the register staff did not speak English. So they had a hard time understanding what I wanted. The meat inside the tacos is always really good, but this time it was a little dry. I saw a lot of people standing around and the place was not clean. I love the food at taco toi so I'll probably keep going there, maybe just not this location.

This is definitely a local favorite. Excellent tacos that are freshly prepared. They have a loyalty program where you get $5 of your fist orders then $5 for every $40 spent . Since Taco Tote is a little bit on the pricey side this is a very welcomed initiative. The restaurant offers a very wide space to seat on your own and enjoy your tacos.. I like their Barbacoa tacos ! Their traditional guacamole: is full of ripe avocados, coriander/cilantro, red onions, jalapeño some Serrano chilli, lime and a pinch of salt. Absolutely delicious.

I'm not reviewing the food but the service. I came in the restaurant right at opening at 11am to order a to go order. I ordered with several people behind me hoping to get my order sooner. Well 47 minutes later my order was finally ready. I do a lot of lunches for my customers so I will probably not use them again.

First time here. I had the combo with two tacos a side and a drink. The cost was $11. The chicken abodado taco was good but on the upper scale of average, however the beef fajita taco was incredible. Tender, flavorful and cooked just right. The rice was excellent with great spices and flavor. The refried beans were average, I'd recommend trying to charro beans. Overall impression was good and I'll be back to try something different. Not the least expensive for the amount of food but the quality was good. Tacos only, no burritos, etc.

Great Taco joint from Mexico... We were in town visiting and friends brought us here for dinner. Love it so much!

I had just flown in from the airport, and my brother arranged it as a special family gathering. Everything started normally: we were seated, ordered our food, received our drinks, and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Then my sister (who is LGBTQ+) stepped away to use the restroom. When she returned and sat down, a manager approached our table and loudly told her--in front of other diners--that "MEN cannot use the female restroom." My sister was mortified and humiliated by the public confrontation. The manager's tone and assumption were shocking and clearly discriminatory. We immediately got up and left without eating. This wasn't about enforcing any legitimate policy; it was rude, insensitive, and targeted. My adult sister is perfectly capable of reading the restroom signs herself--no one needed to police or shame her in such a way. The incident felt rooted in homophobia and transphobia from management. We will never return to this place, and we will actively discourage others--especially LGBTQ+ individuals and allies--from patronizing it. What should have been a joyful family milestone was ruined by bigotry. Avoid this establishment if you value respect and inclusivity.

Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

Looking back, El Cometa is what started my taco obsession. Their tacos al pastor con queso are so good. The marinated pork is perfectly seasoned, a little greasy in the best way, and topped with melted cheese. One thing I love is their salsa bar. I always grab the red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole. I pile all three on my tacos, and every bite is amazing. Their tacos remind me of my favorite tacos at the resort my family visited every summer in Cancún. Even though it has been years since I have been there, El Cometa brings those memories back with every bite. The staff is incredible. Last summer, the hostess recognized me right away and seated me immediately. She even remembered my order. I order the exact same thing every visit: tacos and two cans of Sprite. The fact that she has been there since I first started coming in 2019 makes every visit feel like coming home. From 2019 until I moved away in 2022, I went there almost every week. To eat here, everyone lines up at the cashier to place an order, but somehow I always felt like royalty. The staff knew me, and every visit felt welcoming. El Cometa never disappoints.
