Vampiro Vegano (Birria De Jamaica)
Deweyne L.

Was just passing through Lynwood and made a quick stop at Tacoz, which turned out to be a solid decision. I tried the vegan vampiros with Jamaica flowers seasoned birria style as the protein. Interesting concept and honestly, I appreciated it. It felt like a real effort to offer something healthier and more creative than just swapping in processed meat substitutes, which is the easy way out. This is genuinely unique, nobody else is pulling this off. I didn't leave disappointed. Next time I want to see how it works in a burrito or mulita.

I had this spot saved for a while after seeing a few posts so finally stopped by to see what the hype was all about. I was in the area a little before lunchtime so stopped by to order the carnitas fam meal to go. It's located on a busy street and treet parking is very limited but I was lucky to find a spot on one of the side streets. The small place was packed! People were lining up and ordering to go. It might've been the lunch rush hour for what seemed like local businesses and job site construction workers, mechanics, everyone, etc! Overall from line to ordering to receiving it was a little over an hour. The place is super small with maybe 2-3 seating tables inside. Has restrooms which require a key to use. The staff was not pleasant and the patrons were a mix of crazy side eye stares to friendly and hungry. The carnitas were too salty for my liking, the salsa was subpar, the tortillas were microwave heated but my family enjoyed the meal nonetheless.

YAAALLLLL!!! Who knew this gem was hiding in lil ol' Lynwood! Parking sucks but there is plenty on Abbott if you don't mind walking a little. This place is the bomb. I tried the Uchepos (corn tamales), corundas (masa ball) both preparados, tacos ahogados de papa con carnitas and all the fixings, and tacos de buche, carnitas and mixtos. I am drooling writing this review. Everything was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. My favorite unexpected bite was the Uchepos preparados - the tamal is sweet but the crema and cheese balance the flavor so well. The corundas are too filling for me but they are good too if you love the masa de tamales like me. The carnitas are perfect. No notes. Please try this place, it will not disappoint! Did I mention I went two days in a row? Ok byyyeee.

The food was really good. As a family we order tacos, corundas con carne, burrito with birria and uchepos.. Awesome!!!!!! ***be prepared to wait. The wait on orders are long and the service is slow. I waited almost 45 minutes after I ordered.***

I'm in love with Tacoz. Never have I fallen in love with a burrito at first bite like I did with carne asada burrito from Tacoz. Just the vapors alone without tasting the contents was enough to win me. You could taste the aroma from the carne asada as soon as you bite in before you taste it itself. I got an horchata and a vegan birria taco as well. The horchata was the perfect pairing. It was not too sweet, refreshing, and home-made tasting. I loved it. You know an horchata is good when you can single out the cinnamon and rice flavors individually from the drink. I enjoyed the birria vegan taco due to the hand-made tortilla they use, but I can't speak much to its flavor. I'll have to try it again. I loved that I got guacamole sauce with my order!! Who does that?! Tacoz does! The inside is very small with one family table, and three smaller tables, so you might have to stand around on a busy day.

I first tried their tamales de corundas during Christmas and loved them so much I had to tell my parents. They were excited to find out the restaurant was close to their place, so we had to check it out! The atmosphere was great--my mom especially enjoyed the music. We were also greeted with respect and a smile as soon as it was our turn to order. We ordered the birria plate, carnitas plate, tamal de corundas, rompope flan, and tamal de elote. To drink, we had the café de olla and their atole de tamarindo. Everything was full of flavor and felt like a true taste of home. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

first time here. Dads 90th bday dinner
Sal V.

took my dad out for a bday dinner for his 90th bday. Since hes from Michoacan, we brought him here. the food was delicious and tasty. All though they provided friendly service, our order was wrongbut we ate it any way. they completely mixed up our order even though we confirmed it on the screen as they asked us to. Ordered some beans and rice, the beans had onions in it without it being noted in the menu. with a slight onion allergy, spend a good part of the rest of my night itching away. they need to be more aware of properly notating their food ingredients. its a very small space but we were lucky to get the larger table in the four table place. not the worst place, but check it out any way in Lynwood.

Las corundas son sencillas, no les vi la crema, la salsa no parece de molcajete,

Las carnitas la libra 15.99 pero si las quieres surtidas te le aumentan 3 dls, nunca me avia tocado pagar extra por carnitas surtidas.

No parking. took us about 10 minutes driving back and forth on the front, back of the alley, finally someone left two blocks away.... yikes. we called in our order. They didn't hold it. cause I took longer than 30 minutes to pick it up. Had to wait another 20 minutes. The inconvenience of not having a parking lot for customers Drove from the antelope valley cause it was recommended by my own sister. Almost 48 dollars for 12 corn tamales. I can't make the drive again. "I put your food back, you're gonna have to wait" was even more annoying than the drive. My first and last time here. sucks cause I've been following this page for months.

Service is great!

I loved this place. I had the corundas and an horchata. When I tell you it's fire I mean it. The salsa de aceite is so good. We also ordered Birria tacoz. Top tier! I'll definitely will be back. A must go to. Excellent customer service.

YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE! It was our first time here and thanks to TikTok we are so happy we came. Everything we ordered was amazing but you definitely need to try their corundas con carne!

They've got your Mexican home cooked meal ready for those evenings where you just don't feel like cooking. The service is great, it's always clean and the salsa doesn't disappoint. Weekends have menudo and it's quite yummy! We're pretty picky with our menudo and we normally eat it white but this red one is pretty delicious and clean tasting (IYKYK)! I also feel like the prices are right with food stalls on the street charging some high prices when they don't have any overhead. This place has to maintain their cleanliness standards to pass their inspections, pay rent and utilities. Come support your local spot and you won't be disappointed!

If you're craving authentic antojitos from Ciudad Guzmán in the southern region of Jalisco,…read moreAntojitos Los Cuates in Compton is absolutely worth the drive. As someone who grew up enjoying the flavors of Jalisco, I had been yearning for the famous raspadas--large homemade tostadas--and the variety of traditional antojitos that are so popular back home. My family and I decided to give this place a try, so we made the drive all the way from Riverside County to Compton, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a small, family-owned restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food tastes homemade, just like the meals your mamá would make in Jalisco. You can tell that every dish is prepared with care, tradition, and pride. We ordered the tostadas, tortas ahogadas, and tacos duros, and every item was packed with authentic flavor. Unfortunately, we arrived around 3:30 PM and missed out on the pozole because they had already sold out for the day. That alone tells me it's a favorite among their customers, so I highly recommend arriving early if you're hoping to try it. The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being very busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive. Keep in mind that this is a small family-run establishment, so your food may take a little longer to arrive. However, that's because everything is made fresh to order, and the quality is well worth the wait. Places like this are becoming harder to find. If you're looking for authentic flavors from Jalisco and want to support a hardworking family business, Antojitos Los Cuates is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. We'll definitely be back.
