LiveOnSunset is far superior to most department stores. The store is beautiful and kept in pristine condition - you hardly ever see things messy or unfolded. It has a great layout and everything is organized by an obvious person with a great eye for fashion. So it is easy to navigate and find what you're looking for if you are pressed for time as well as grab some really cool and attractive items. There are also many knowledgable salespeople on the floor, that can directly coincide with the merchandise....right there on the spot. I LOVE the selection - LiveOnSunset has everything you could possibly want! It's the only place I go for jeans since they have every cut and style I can imagine and all the latest trends. This store in particular has a huge selection of in style items, along with many of these design brands placed in throughout the store that makes buying the clothes even more desirable. Who ever designs the clothing bay ends should work in a museum. It is that great. LiveOnSunset has a very peaceful shopping environment, especially compared to the noisy chaos, annoying people, and disorganization that is overwhelming at Macys, Nordstrom, and Bloomies. At LiveOnSunset, people are there not to hang out or wander through aimlessly, but to SHOP. And it's right on Sunset a great location. Love it!! Love the design of the clothes in the store. UPDATE ON MY REVIEW: I would like to ad that I sent the above information as a letter to the owner through an employee of the store. I will surely come in and purchase at least 500 dollars of textiles in order to use my 20 percent discount as soon as possible. That would only be fair. When you go into most stores, the sales representative usually tells you that everything you pick looks good on you (even though it doesn't) just to get the sale. I've been meaning to write a review about TAGS for a while now. First the good: TAGS has some hip clothes--pricey but good selection. Right across courtyard to Equinox gym [to which I belong] & convenient when in need of a nice outfit. Now the bad: Customer service. Here's where the trouble started: This past Nov 2013, I went to TAGS to see if they had any casual jackets I could gift my husband for xmas. I was just intending to look. I did find a jacket I liked & told the salesgirl that I was gonna wait & think about it b/c this lightweight jacket was pricey at $320 [pricier than I would normally probably consider for such an insubstantial jacket]. Salesgirl: "we just got these in & we only have 2 left--they won't last!" Me: "well, I am thinking of waiting b/c you will probably have pre-xmas/black friday sale." Salesgirl: "oh no, this jacket is DEFINITELY not going on sale b/f christmas." Me: "ok, i guess I will get it now. I am not sure it will fit or that he will like it. Is there any problem with returns?" Salesgirl: "no problem, he can exchange after christmas if he does not like it or it does not fit well." Of course, 3 weeks later, blackfriday, huge sign in TAGS' window "30% entire store." I immediately bring the jacket back to the store, with receipt & ask for the 30% discount, particularly given the assurances given me by salesgirl earlier in Nov! The salesman working that day says "nope, I can't give you the 30% discount" so I say I want to return the jacket so I can buy a jacket in the store that is 30% off. Salesman: "nope, you can't return the jacket b/c it's been longer than 2 weeks since you purchased it." WHAT THE WHAT? So, not only had I purchased a jacket I had been told would definitely NOT be going on sale prior to xmas & it did, but now I'm being told that the return policy I had specifically asked/been told about ["no problem exchanging jacket after christmas"] was also incorrect? I was very vexed, particularly since I could have saved approx $100 had I waited, as my instincts told me to do, until later. I ask to speak to the manager bc I'm sure, given what a good customer Ive been [I am the IDEAL customer-- I had already spent a lot of money at TAGS over 2 years & intended to spend more] & the unfairness of the whole situation, immed apologies/remedy would soon follow. Not so much. The manager [whose email I was given b/c she was not available to speak & I was assured email was the speediest way to reach her] never answered either of my emails. Eventually she called--long after sale was over and after I had called the store several times--and was unhelpful/vague about the whole problem. She did not seem to have any authority to offer a solution. Eventually, I spoke to the owner of the store, who was ungracious and defensive about what had happened. She took no responsibility for what her salesgirl had told me & seemed kind of mad at me for expecting the store to stand behind its employee's words. I told her: "if your salesgirl told me incorrect information then it is incumbent on you to honor it--it not my fault she answered incorrectly. It is the store's responsibility particularly since I conditioned my purchase on the answer to these 2 questions & trusted the response." The owner was adamant that there was only a 2 week window to return merchandise. I asked her how anyone could be expected to buy holiday gifts at her store given this very restrictive return policy. Eventually she said my husband would be allowed to exchange the jacket after xmas but that there was no way she would give me the 30% discount. Then she offered to send me a $50 gift certificate as recompense. While this is only half of what I felt was fair, I appreciated that she relented & was allowing only my husband this one time window to exchange after xmas [so be warned: don't buy your gifts at TAGS more than two weeks prior to gifting!!], but she was also offering some $$. But, def a bad taste in my mouth b/c my only crime was an attempt to spend more $$ in her store & she was so grudging & bad humored. Eventually I receive the $50 gift certificate, which is in fact 2x$25 gift certs. I go in the store some time after & want to purchase 3 items, for approx $150 dollars. I hand over the 2 gift certificates. Salesgirl: "you are only allowed to use one $25 gift certificate." Again, WHAT THE WHAT? I point out it does not say that anywhere on the gift cert. She shrugs & says "sorry." So, I say: "Ok, I will buy one item with one gift cert & leave other stuff on hold & then walk out/walk back in & buy other 2 items & use other gift cert." Absurdly, I do this & she says "sorry, I can't do it." I am thinking, this makes no sense whatsoever. I just leave the stuff there & walk out. I vowed that no matter how cute TAGS merch is, it's DEFINITELY not worth the weird, belligerent, defensive, expensive hassle of dealing with the owner & her inconsistent returns & customer service policies. read more

I get my hair cut at Jeffery Kara located right across from this store. It almost went unnoticed to me, I passed by it twice before realizing it was a store! I thought maybe it was part of H&M? I don't know...just oddly tucked in. Anyways, I was immediately greeted by Nicole (?) a very sweet, red head girl. I was kind of confused because there is regular stuff like Current Elliot denim but there also seemed to be some vintage-y stuff? Hmmm...I did stumble upon some jeans and an LNA t-shirt that I liked. Nicole was very helpful and brought me a few other things to try on. I did end up with the jeans and tee and I am wearing them as I type. I would stop in next time I am getting my hair cut but I wouldn't make a special trip here like I would to Calypso just down the street. read more

Found some cool belts here. I like that the people here are not aggressive in their selling techniques. They are very nice when you ask them a question but don't push you to buy anything. I ended up with a few shirts and a really nice belt. Place is kept clean and organized. read more

After a god awful experience at Haute Hippe I headed to tags and purchased two dresses, a pair of shoes and a necklace. The staff is charming, stylish, helpful and knowledgeable. Their assortment is incredible, well curated and you can get dressed head to toe which I consider a plus. Ms McGuire (i can't recall her 1st name) helped me and is the cutest ever. She listened to what I needed, brought me to the dressing area and then brought dresses to me. She saved me time and for that I am grateful. I will be back for sure. Helpful hint: park at a meter and avoid the parking garage its a nightmare. read more

First: Great layout! You feel like you are walking into an art gallery. Partitions divide the store into smaller sections, so the shopper is never overwhelmed, but instead is encouraged to take the time to really look and feel the wares. Second: Wonderful staff! Not only do they know their fashion, they are high-energy, beautiful people! Would not mind working there myself. Third: Events hosted there are always lovely and tasteful. Fourth: PLENTIFUL PARKING! I know! And the best part is that you can probably pop over to Isla right across the street and get a tequila-based drinks after shopping. The best clothing curator I've seen. Gorgeous finds, priced accordingly. Service was very friendly. I suppose one star is lost because the sales were still at the $75-100 price point. Jackie has been very accomodating and communicative with me throughout my shopping experience at Tags (both online and in store). She has a beautiful selection of clothes and accessories including not only shoes & bags but also beautiful & interesting jewelry, hats, belts, scarves and some great smelling candles. My one concern is online prices were reduced (sometimes significantly) from in the store prices I paid and it would have been nice to be informed about the markups, especially since I purchased over $1000 in merchandise. So now you know. Pay attention before making any purchases so as not to have to go through the hassle of returning and reordering items. Sales girls are attentive and sweet, offered me water and helped me make decisions about final purchases. Whenever I had more than one item in my hand they promptly noticed & added it to the fitting room. They also went out of their way to make sure my phone was charged since I rely on my phone for transportation (uber). Overall very positive experience- Ill be back once I make some more money . read more

This place has very bad customer service. I went shopping there over holiday and had a horrible experience with the service and the fake and rude employees who seem to think they are better then their shoppers. Do they understand WE are the ones who PAY them. Never again, and I find it interesting that all the negative reviews are hidden and not included in the stores overall rating. They must pay for this service because it is very evident that they are a bad business. I searched to late, should of searched prior to shopping also saw their F rating on Better Business Bureau, again, to little to late once you have the awful experience and the damage is done. read more

I really love this place. Every single time I have stepped foot in Live! I have walked out with a piece (or like 4) that I love. The girls who work here are super nice and super helpful. I have never felt pressured or at all hounded. Shopping here is a real treat and it's always so fun to visit the store, as they always have great stuff. I'd love to give it 5 stars but I'm at a loss for words in regards to a special order I placed for a ring. Upon ordering and leaving a check for the item, I was told it would take 4-5 days ... it's now been a month. I've been hounding the poor girls at the store weekly, and I'm sure they all know me by name now :-( Anyways, 1 month later, no ring. They say it's going to be "a week", as the designer has to make the ring. Mind you, I've heard this now for 4 weeks (same story, different week) - not really sure how I feel about this. Placing an order for a ring shouldn't be such an ordeal and such a run around, but so it is. Super bummed. Also, could someone explain why I bought a shirt in the store for $70 and came to find it on their website for $48.00....? kinda bummer about that one too and just confused :( read more

This place is a hidden gem nestled in a workout pavilion in a ritzier part of LA. Popped in before a workout and am so happy that I did! There are lots of good styles here. Thank you to the young lady who helped me, Joyce. I am pleased with all my purchases. I am thinking of taking my daughter here next time, but they do not offer children's apparel. I was visiting LA from Austin and stumbled upon Tags when I was going to an early morning Soulcycle class next door. I came back the next day when they opened at 9 (Love the early opening time!) The window had looked cute but the store was even better! Jessica was super sweet and helped me pick out 3 sweaters. They also have their own private label which is so reasonably priced and very cute. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more
