I tipped a generous amount entering into the sacred social contract of good tip good service. Apparently this donair dude making my food does not perscribe to this tipping contract. Minmimal veggies. Less meat. He prepared it as if this was all of the food left on the planet, a strand of lamb and a piece of chicken. The entire thing tasted just like pita bread, very dissapointing. Will not be going back again, I recommend you save your money, things are expensive and i beleive in supporting businesses on the shore, but not when the quality is poor and the food does not even match the pictures. There are many other fantastic places to get a Donair on the north shore. The only reason that this review gets a star is that the guy who baged my food was polite and the restaurant was clean.

The lamb was dried out and flavourless, the salid was soggy, and the humas was runny. The doors were left open. Therefore, the temperature inside the store was the same as the temperature outside. A very tiny yet highly acclaimed restaurant in Vancouver near Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station…read more We stumbled upon this place while walking right at opening, so we got first pick at one of the 3 tables for dine-in. Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

Delicious to the very last bite with flavor throughout and spices to chase. Jose was our server this round and was very attentive and friendly. My coworker and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, we got a reservation ahead of time and I'm glad we did because this place was pretty busy. We got their aperol spritz for drinks which was very refreshing, would recommend this for the summer. For food, we got their dip platter and chose their hummus, labne, and baba ghannouj. My coworker was gluten-free so they were very nice to give us some gluten free chips instead of the bread with the dips. We also got their halloumi fries which came with a pomegrante dipping sauce - I LOVED IT! The halloumi fries were cooked so well! We also got their prawns which were really fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back! Their hummus was so good, it's for sure a very authentic Lebanese spot.

I especially recommend the Saj - this is a Syrian version of the standard wrap or Donair. They put a pita and wrap it with a flaky crispy Syrian light bread - it reminds me of Malaysian roti. They grilled it so it's crispy. Mixed with falafel or kebab - I had kebab it's really wonderful - slightly spicy chicken and beef - it is a fantastic wrap. I would definitely come back just for the wrap alone. They also have dessert. Multiple kinds of baklava plus knaffeh. I had baklava and they are decent. Definitely consider this place when visiting Lonsdale.

One of their specialties, apparently. Store is clean. Service is good, people are nice. Service pretty quick too. Prices are reasonable. The food is the problem. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with greek salad. Veg/salad are fresh and fine. Pickles were fine. But the star of the show, the chicken, was extremely bland, underseasoned, and flavourless. The chicken itself was cooked nicely, not dry. But it needs seasoning. The hummus was also tasteless, and they put WAY too much olive oil on top. The olive oil wasnt very good either, not sure if its actually 100% EVOO because it doesnt have much olive oil taste. The rice was way overcooked and mushy. Theres no excuse for serving that. The sauces were a joke. The guy recommended the garlic sauce and hot sauce. These are my normal go-to's in any shawarma place. The garlic sauce needs....garlic. Can barely taste any garlic. Tasted like a generic white creamy suace with no garlic flavour. It should be very strongly garlic flavoured. Add a ton more garlic to it pls. The hot sauce I asked him about beforehand, and he said its "pretty hot." I asked for extra sauce too. Turns out it tasted like watered down tomato paste with no heat at all. zero. I dont know if they forgot the chili or something when they made this sauce. And since I asked for extra, my pile of chicken was drenched in this watery tomato sauce. not good. Overall, service fine. Pricing fine. Food, needs a lot of work. I wont be back, and cannot in good faith recommend their Shawarma chicken, hummus, hot sauce, or garlic sauce. Maybe the other stuff is good, I dont know.

Ended up coming here for lunch twice in one week. First time my mom had the Chicken Shawarma Wrap…read moreand I had the Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan. Seems like the Pan items take longer to prepare, so it took awhile for the order to come out. Worth the wait in my opinion though. I loved my Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan. It was piping hot, and the Omelet was so fluffy! This dish was a definite winner for me. One of the best things I've ordered in all the times that I've come here. Next time we came I ordered Fries and Cheese, with a bowl of Levantine Lentil soup. Mom had the Shawarma Chicken Pan, and my daughter had the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap. The first thing that came out was my Levantine Lentil soup. I wished that they had brought it out later though. I don't like eating before everyone else's food has arrived, and it was quite awhile before the rest of the food arrived. Probably due to the Shawarma Chicken Pan since as I said before, that the Pan items seem to take longer to prepare. I took a few spoonfuls of my soup every few minutes just so I could enjoy at least few spoonfuls of it while it was still somewhat hot, but I would have much preferred for the soup to have been brought later, together with all the rest of the food. I felt guilty taking those few spoonfuls, but then the longer I waited...the colder my soup got. Next time I will tell them to bring the soup out later, when all of the food is ready to bring to the table. My fries and cheese came out after the soup. This also came before the other orders were ready. When it came, the server said she would bring some forks for us to eat the fries, and also some sour cream to go with the fries. Holy smokes...she took ages to come back to us. How long does a person need to go grab a few forks and a small container of sour cream?! I think the Shawarma Chicken Pan didn't look quite as impressive as the Omelet Pan I'd had earlier in the week. It was just chicken in the Pan. My Vegetarian Denver Omelet had been a lot more colourful than the Chicken. The dish did come with fries and they also gave my mom some bread as well. None of it very colourful though. I think if my mom wants chicken at this place, then we'll stick to ordering wraps for her. They seem to do very nice wraps at this place. My daughter had enjoyed the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap before so this was her second time ordering it. For Pan dishes, I'd recommend the Halloumi Pan that I had on a previous visit and the Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan.

There were samples of some kind of wrap at the front door of the restaurant. They were generous portions for samples but we didn't really like it. The inside of the restaurant was clean. With one person working at the cashier and another one only in the kitchen, the wait time was somewhat long. I get that the wrap/bread is baked fresh. Nonetheless, should they not have one more person working in the kitchen considering it's a Saturday? The chicken tawouk pan looked quite sad when i opened it up. Sad looking pieces of chicken breast with a tiny bit of mushroom slices. It came with some kind of cukes, garlic sauce and hummus. The menu stipulated juicy chicken breasts but the chicken was very dry and bland. Good thing my dish came with sauce otherwise it would have been difficult to have it passed down my throat. The kafta supreme was nicely presented. The menu definitely looked extremely tempting so my husband and brother both ordered it. Despite the nice presentation, both of them said it was extremely bland. My husband added sauce from my chicken to his wrap but my brother ate it as is. Yes the bread was freshly made and that was probably the best out of this wrap. Tim Hortons flatbread tasted better than this at a fraction of the price.
