If you enjoy only the taste of pita then this is your place. I ordered a large lamb and chicken…read morepita, you pay and TIP prior to your food being prepared. I tipped a generous amount entering into the sacred social contract of good tip good service. Apparently this donair dude making my food does not perscribe to this tipping contract. Minmimal veggies. Less meat. He prepared it as if this was all of the food left on the planet, a strand of lamb and a piece of chicken. The entire thing tasted just like pita bread, very dissapointing. Will not be going back again, I recommend you save your money, things are expensive and i beleive in supporting businesses on the shore, but not when the quality is poor and the food does not even match the pictures. There are many other fantastic places to get a Donair on the north shore. The only reason that this review gets a star is that the guy who baged my food was polite and the restaurant was clean.

The lamb was dried out and flavourless, the salid was soggy, and the humas was runny. The doors were left open. Therefore, the temperature inside the store was the same as the temperature outside. Blackout blinds, awnings or air conditioning may be required to prevent the food from spoiling. I wish to remain anonymous and have no further comment.

A very tiny yet highly acclaimed restaurant in Vancouver near Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station…read more We stumbled upon this place while walking right at opening, so we got first pick at one of the 3 tables for dine-in. Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

Updating this review a year later to reiterate everything I shared last time!…read more We enjoyed a quick lunch on the patio with the cold and hot mezza samplers. Delicious to the very last bite with flavor throughout and spices to chase. Jose was our server this round and was very attentive and friendly. He steered us in the right direction for the right amount of food for two people. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful Lebanese kitchen for appetizers, lunch and dinner we will return!

My coworker and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, we got a reservation ahead of time and I'm glad we did because this place was pretty busy. We got their aperol spritz for drinks which was very refreshing, would recommend this for the summer. For food, we got their dip platter and chose their hummus, labne, and baba ghannouj. My coworker was gluten-free so they were very nice to give us some gluten free chips instead of the bread with the dips. We also got their halloumi fries which came with a pomegrante dipping sauce - I LOVED IT! The halloumi fries were cooked so well! We also got their prawns which were really fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back! Their hummus was so good, it's for sure a very authentic Lebanese spot.

Probably the most disappointing falafel experience I've had in Vancouver. I had the Vegetarian…read morePlate and nothing tasted fresh. The tomatoes in the Greek salad were on the verge of being mushy (I ate them, but considered discarding them, and if they'd been any more mushy I would've thrown them out), the hummus was grainy, the pickled onions tasted kind of funky, the samosa wrapper was not crisp, the dolma filling was weirdly dense, the pita was store-bought and very thin (I recognize this is intentional and a style some people like, I just prefer a thicker pita for dipping). The toum was really good, but that did not make up for everything else going on. They get a second star from me because when I ordered I also bought a bottle of their ayran to drink later, and that did end up being pretty good, so I feel my rating should acknowledge that there was something that wasn't a complete miss. But I definitely wouldn't eat here again.

After requesting to have it fried I was surprised to see it come out of a microwave. Considering it's also the same price as superbaba I would suggest that of you're looking for a falafel save your money and go elsewhere. Staff were polite and place was clean for what that's worth. Hope you chicken lovers find something decent but if falafel is what you're seeking this is a hard pass.
