If you enjoy only the taste of pita then this is your place. I ordered a large lamb and chicken pita, you pay and TIP prior to your food being prepared. I tipped a generous amount entering into the sacred social contract of good tip good service. Apparently this donair dude making my food does not perscribe to this tipping contract. Minmimal veggies. Less meat. He prepared it as if this was all of the food left on the planet, a strand of lamb and a piece of chicken. The entire thing tasted just like pita bread, very dissapointing. Will not be going back again, I recommend you save your money, things are expensive and i beleive in supporting businesses on the shore, but not when the quality is poor and the food does not even match the pictures.There are many other fantastic places to get a Donair on the north shore. The only reason that this review gets a star is that the guy who baged my food was polite and the restaurant was clean. read more

On June 8th, 2025 we ordered an early dinner at your franchise located in New Port, Port Moody. It was a disappointment! The lamb was dried out and flavourless, the salid was soggy, and the humas was runny. The doors were left open. Therefore, the temperature inside the store was the same as the temperature outside. Blackout blinds, awnings or air conditioning may be required to prevent the food from spoiling. I wish to remain anonymous and have no further comment. read more

Decided to come back and try this place once again after after already trying it one last time since DoorDash was offering a buy one get one free deal. The portion sizes are even smaller than the last time I went in and that was so small. Donair beef is just ground beef with some spices which is cheap. There are so many other good donair restaurants you can go to here in Van, so there's no point giving your money to these guys to get not even half the portion size. DO NOT ORDER extra meat on anything, it's a total scam. I use to order Donair dude 3 times a week now I'll never order from them again. Ugh! I went to try this place through Good To Go. Smart business owners know this app is a good way for potential customers to try your business. However, the arrogant owner I interacted with gave me the poorest excuse for a meal he could. It was supposed to be $18 worth of food for $5.99. What I got was a cup of so-so rice, a few pieces of chicken and two small potatoes cut in two. This cheap, miserable offering wasn't even worth the $5.99! Don't wasn't your money here. Falafel wrap with four patties is $14.99 -- pricey, but I guess everything is these days -- and there is a three-patty option for $11.99. Loved the taste, the fresh veggies, the service. I wish I had something good to say. I ordered a falafel pita, fries and dolmades. I couldn't finish the falafel because half way through my stomach starting hurting, I genuinely don't know how it hit that fast. It was so dry and lacked any melodies in flavour, just overwhelming cumin and a weird mace like spice. Next the fries were just bad. For $5.00+ I expected a little more. They were all very soggy and stuck together, not much more to say. Last I ordered two dolmades, these were good, but like you'd get out of a can from any store. Hands down the only enjoyable part of my meal though. I can't speak for any meat dishes but if you're a vegetarian I'd probably skip this place. read more

I frequent this location often. The staff is friendly, the food's not bad. Recently ( 2022 ) it has improved even more. This isn't really a 'sit down' place, more of a grab and go. The do deliver often thru Uber eats. It's always busy at peek hours. Needs a greater selection of drinks though. read more

I'm sooo happy we have a Donair Dude on the North Shore now. Lonsdale Ave is cool but now it's even cooler. There's Donair Dude. I had chicken with all my add ons and it was delicious! This location presses them on a grill which makes it easier to eat. It's easy to hold. Unfortunately I've eaten here two more times after my first visit, and both times were disappointing, tasteless, and non satisfying. read more

Another new restaurant that opened on Lonsdale recently. Love that you can get the wraps in pita or tortilla bread. I ordered the Lamb wrap in spinach tortilla bread. The donair was amazing and very filling. Their spicy paste and sweet sauce are nice touches. Bright airy place with decent seating space. Will definitely visit again when craving middle eastern food :) read more

I got the lamb grilled pita donair. The portions were large so I felt full when I finished the whole thing. The hot sauce was not as spicy as I expected but the donair sauce (tatziki) tasted extremely good with the other ingredients. This time I got the feta cheese as a topping and I think it went better with the tomatoes, onions, and jalapeño peppers. The staff was super nice, very patient when I was ordering. Best Donair in North Vancouver! It's not even the best on the street! Went in to get a falafel as I thought a real Donair place might have a better one than wrap zone. I did not know this place was a chain. I ordered a falafel pita and was charged extr for cheese- oh ok....so I'm ordering wHat is basically middle eastern street food- one pita was $10.50. I have never paid that for a falafel in my life! Anyway falafels are all in the patty- fresh fried and crisp. It came out of the fryer promising. But, when I actually ate it it was somehow cold not crisp And over powering cumin taste- I hate that! After you pick your veggies they then wrap roll it up and squish it on a panini grill till it's half moon shaped and dry! Wtf??!! It was a stodgy mess and most was thrown out. I have been to this place twice. It is kind a sub-par for Donair shop, not to mention that they are about $1-$2 more per donair. The staff was friendly however they didn't listen very well as I asked for a beef don't air and what comes on it and they had to tell me what first comes the beef chicken lamb or falafel... Really???... I already said I wanted a "beef" donair. Sigh -- new or inexperienced employees? Maybe... they were hard to understand, and hard to read as far as their body language, they were nice but not very helpful. We have perfected the mixture of ingredients we love and can't get enough. Staff is friendly and the owners are very nice. Space is always clean and service is fast. Good sized portions. So happy they opened a location in North Van! Great service, friendly staff and the donairs are delicious! I got a lamb donair, and I was full for the whole day. It was absolutely amazing.
