Private area for members only. Members come in free of charge, non members with guest passes come in for $8 per person. Well kept marina with friendly staff too! My friends and I rented 4 stand up paddle boating boards for $23 per board and staff was very helpful on getting the boards and all of us ready to get into the water. The water is also clean and there is a small area in the water separated by rope and bouys for children to play as well.

The way it played out was that I reached out to several boat rental companies in the North Lake Tahoe area based on their Yelp profiles, and the friendliest response I got was from this team. Based purely on that, I picked up the phone and called them, and the person who spoke with me helped answer several questions in an extremely pleasant way. She also advised me that the weather was going to get better in a few days, which is why we chose not to go boating on Sunday, which was our preferred day, but instead picked Wednesday, which turned out to be exceptionally pleasant. She asked me to research the boats and pick our best option from the website. I shared a picture from the Yelp page with her through text, based on which she guided me toward their premium boat, which had the bimini top that we needed. The check-in process was extremely welcoming. It was all done over my mobile phone. The insurance packages were also surprisingly affordable. We picked the intermediate option, which was, I believe, about $50. I could not stop staring at the water while we were checking in. It felt like we were in Miami. The water was turquoise-colored, and it was a perfect day in the low 70s. Our guide was Lidia. She and her entire team were exceptionally friendly. They did not rush us at all, even though I had my 79-year-old father with me. She, along with another staff member and me, helped my elderly parents onto the boat. I really wanted them to enjoy the ride instead of waiting outside for three and a half hours. I loved how Lidia helped me get comfortable with the boat while she was on board with us. She had me go full throttle and make an aggressive turn to show me just how safe and stable the boat was. I didn't go nearly that fast or make nearly as sharp a turn later, but it was good to know just how capable the boat was. I also loved how they take you out of the crowded marina area. Once you are in open water, they use their own rubber dinghy to get back to their office while we can enjoy the lake without having to worry about maneuvering around other boats near the docks. At one point, we accidentally got close to shore because we had not seen some large boulders on the way out. We were actually a bit lost and had gotten too close to shore in the wrong area. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a text from Lidia reminding us to be careful and stay away from shore, which was great to see. This meant that they keep an eye on the boat from their office. Cellular coverage was fantastic, and we were able to use Google Maps and stream music from every part of the lake, which felt great because, if we had any questions, we could just call Lidia. When we came back, Lidia found a spot that was even more accessible for my father, which helped him get off the boat much more easily. Overall, I could not have asked for anything better, and the entire experience was just perfect. We will 100% be returning to North Lake Tahoe and renting from NLTBR again as repeat customers.

It's first-come, first-serve, so I recommend calling ahead to check availability before showing up. We had a great time renting Sea-Doos and enjoying the lake. Just a heads up for future renters: You're required to stay within sight of the rental facility at all times. Not a deal-breaker, but good to know in advance. Feedback for mgmt: Your staff is so nice! I will say just say that I don't love how you write down CC info. I understand having credit card info & waivers signed by renters responsible for any damage, but there has to be a better system than writing down CC #s, expiration dates, billing zip codes and CVC codes on paper at the open air check-in table.

The staff was unfriendly from the start and made us feel unwelcome. Five minutes into our ride, my wife and daughter accidentally entered a restricted area. We understand it was our mistake, but instead of simply explaining the situation, they brought them back to shore, wasting much of our rental time. After that, my wife didn't want to continue, so I went out with my daughter instead. She was so uncomfortable that she kept saying the staff member was going to come back and take us out again, so she couldn't enjoy the ride. Overall, the lack of customer service and the staff's attitude ruined what should have been a fun family experience. They showed no empathy or concern, even though there was a young child with us.

Throughout the process, I was repeatedly directed from one company to the other, with each company telling me to contact the other instead of taking responsibility. It was extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and inconvenient. What made the experience even worse was the difference in how the two companies treated us. The other company was much friendlier, more helpful, and genuinely seemed interested in resolving the issue. In contrast, this company's staff came across as rude and dismissive, and they continually redirected us elsewhere even though our original booking was made through them. Overall, the lack of accountability and poor customer service left a very negative impression. Based on my experience, I would recommend booking with the other company instead. They were far more professional, responsive, and pleasant to work with throughout the process.

He was incredibly responsive, answered all of our questions, coordinated everything flawlessly the day of our rental, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The customer service from the entire team was exceptional. Tori was so sweet and drove us back and forth in the golf cart, making everything easy and stress-free and even taking us back to our condo at the end of the day so we didn't have to make the walk. Luke was an awesome deckhand, and Sully, who happened to be the owner of the pontoon boat we rented, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell everyone genuinely enjoys what they do and wants their guests to have the best experience possible. The pontoon boat was beautiful, clean, and exactly what we were hoping for. We spent an unforgettable day on Lake Tahoe making memories with our family, and this company played a huge part in that. If you're looking to rent a boat in Lake Tahoe, this is the company to book with. Thank you to Brad, Tori, Luke, Sully, and the entire team for making our day so memorable!

That said, I'd encourage anyone considering this charter to know that the price they quote you isn't the full price -- they also require a captain's fee of $60/hour. Unfortunately, the day before our charter (end of June), a cold front came through. They called to let us know they'd had to cancel charters the day before due to weather, but that ours would still go on, just later in the day. With temperatures in the low 50s and the water even colder, we made the difficult decision to cancel -- it just wasn't safe or comfortable for kids to be in the water. That's when we learned our $500 deposit was non-refundable, and we might even still owe the captain's fees. I could understand keeping the deposit if it meant they lost the chance to book another charter that day -- but that wasn't the case. No boats were out on the lake due to the cold; everyone on shore was bundled up in sweatshirts and jackets. Honestly this experience left us feeling scammed. I would think twice before booking this charter in advance.
