Sorry I found this place to be very overrated. I've had some pretty fantastic Thai for in my day -- and had high expectations of this place based on the ratings. However, my shrimp fried rice was just okay -- it lacked the Thai authentic quality that makes their rice so divine. My wife and I shared a Tom Kha Kai soup ( coconut milk with chicken, mushrooms, lemongrass, and cabbage) , she ordered garlic chicken and I ordered the basil seafood. Just a warning, the basil seafood is spicy. Vegetables were crispy and fresh and the meat cooked to perfection. The soup flavorful with the right balance of coconut and lemongrass. I've been to Thailand a few times and typically keep my expectations low when it comes to dining out. I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered chicken satay with peanut sauce, and the fresh roll as appetizers. For the entree we ordered green curry with chicken and pad Thai. All were delicious. The green curry is OUTSTANDING and will definitely order again. Restaurant staff were absolutely lovely and authentic. Inside was clean and the decor was modern and comfortable. (See photo) What impressed me most was the balance of flavors in the soup - medium spicy elements were harmoniously blended. The use fresh quality ingredients was evident in every bite. Ray waited on me, he was attentive, offering recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I can't say enough good things about the service here! Even the "slowest server" was faster than anyone at the nearby deadbeat steakhouse. (To see how I really feel about Level 2 Steakhouse, go read that lengthy review... but if you're looking for somewhere downtown that's allergen-conscious and actually CARES about their customers, make sure you eat here at Tai Kitchen!) The staff was friendly, knowledgable and everything you'd expect from a mom-and-pop restaurant. Truly family-run, it was quiet, the food was delicious, and if we'd been in the area longer we would have gladly eaten here again! Hubs had the Pad Thai (he gets that at every Thai place we visit) and I had a stir-fry that they made special for me to be gluten-free. Located right near downtown branson this little place is so charming! While visiting i didn't want to stop at a real touristy spot but rather somewhere locally owned. I was nervous before coming here due to covid and table spacing due to the size of this place. However when we visited there was one other couple eating and they were clear across the room. Their menu options were superb due to the variety that they offered and prices were unbeatable. Service was friendly and fast! I ordered the chicken pad Thai opting in for a salad as my starter. The salad was delicious the dressing really made it! Dressing was almost yellow in color and tasted very similar to honey mustard but it wasn't. Very unique in taste and good! We had our 4 year old with us which typically Thai places don't offer kid menus but this place did which i simply adored! He chose the chicken nuggets so smart and easy on the restaurant end and pleases almost every kid who will come in! Then a scoop of steamed rice. They also offered fried rice as a kids menu option as well. My chicken pad Thai i opted in for the medium spice level and it was fine not spicy at all just perfect. Lots of flavor and the noodles had a great taste to them. It was my chicken that tasted very different and didn't enjoy. Almost like it wasn't cooked through enough. My husband enjoyed the cashew chicken he ordered spicy level and said it wasn't spicy at all. Overall we were very pleased with our visit and would recommend it to anyone. We traveled to Branson for 4th of July weekend. We were walking towards another restaurant on Branson Landing that we had found online, when we spotted Tai Kitchen. We love Thai so we decided to try this out. Overall a good choice. I ordered the Friday special: Khao Soi = northern yellow curry noodles with chicken (wings, but not specified on Specials board on the wall). It was good. Just wish it had more than 2 small wings = little meat mostly noodles & curry soup. Son ordered his usual Pad See-Ew, which he said was good except the noodles were not cooked long enough (so they were still too hard). Husband got large bowls of Tom Yum Soup with shrimp, but there wasn't enough shrimp or veggies in his opinion (mostly just broth for $11). If we're ever back in Branson and if Tai Kitchen is still there, we'll try other options. read more

We also tried the pork egg rolls, which were very good! I'd definitely recommend them. I tried the chicken pad Thai (mild). It was very good. My husband got the Chicken vegetable stir fry, medium. It was very good, but the medium was spicier than we had expected. We were at a conference at the Hilton and found this place close by for dinner last night. It was so hot outside that I couldn't bring myself to order a beautiful plate of piping hot pad Thai (my pal got this and looked delicious) but I got the chicken satay (peanut sauce was amazing!), cucumber salad, and crab Rangoon - it was all fresh and tasted great. Stopped in for lunch today with my husband around 11:15. The restaurant is decorated in lovely bright colors. The staff are super friendly and attentive. My husband had the Jasmine rice soup and said it was the best soup he has ever had (I'm mildly insulted as I make us great soups). I had the Pad See Ew it was flavorful and a large serving.
