Came here for breakfast, I've also been here before for drinks and fun and it was a good time. The music Could have been a little more this era of time tho. For breakfast I ordered the country fried steak and it was decent, but I've had a lot better in my past at other places. And the gravy was not super flavorable. The Bloody Mary I ordered (or two, since it was buy one get one) was pretty good but not much alcohol added to my likeing... that would prob explain the deal of the big one get one which is misleading. Just give me one with extra alcohol so I can atleast get a good buzz lol. But this place is decent, just nothing special. read more

I felt I needed to write an update for Tailgate Tavern. The reason for this is that whereas before I had pretty much only come here for the bar aspects, I recently came here for the restaurant offerings. I had seen some local Yelpers commenting on the breakfasts, and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. For about $10 bucks I was able to enjoy a full breakfast, as well as two bloody mary's. The bloody mary's are 2 for 1 during breakfast hours. They are pretty average in size and composition. But, they had some nice heat, good flavor, and they packed a wallop. My eggs were cooked exactly as I requested, the bacon was rather nice, and the link sausage was quite good. My dining companion enjoyed his french toast and coffee as well. The breakfast menu is pretty extensive, and this is nice change of pace from the chains. I also dropped by for lunch. I went ahead and had a steak with salad and veggies. It was about the same price as what I would have paid at Outback. The steak was cooked just as I requested, and was a decent cut of meat. The salad was pretty basic, but was about twice the size of what you might expect for a side salad. The winter veggies were okay, if not exciting. My friend had a burger and jalapeno mashed potatoes, and gobbled them down pretty quickly, without complaint. So, this is still food served in a dive bar. But, early in the day, the place is not crowded, has been recently cleaned, and is a very different experience than what you would find on a Friday or Saturday night. read more

I was excited to go to see some live music, unfortunately the bartender really made my experience horrible. She was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Her (husband?), I believe, was security and they spent most of the time talking to each other at the end of the bar. It took me 15 just to get my tab. I would never recommend this place. Had a blast at this place on a Thursday night with a group of 4. They had a lovely, awesome country band at 7:00 and line dancing with a line dancing teacher who made it so much fun! I'm 29 years old and I don't generally country line dance but this place really got me into it! The people were SO friendly and sweet. The location is great, right of the quaint Main St. in downtown Parker,CO. Around the holidays the street is littered with beautiful lights and decorations. The food was wonderful for a casual dining spot. Thursday's are primer rib night and they have a large, juicy, prime rib for only $12.99 that is very high quality! My boyfriend got the prime rib and I got a burger which was also juicy and tasty. The sweet potato fries were thick and yummy. They have happy hour every weekday til 7pm which is great. The live music and dancing really sold me at this place. The atmosphere was electric and felt like I was in Texas somewhere in the old west line dancing with good friends. This place is great. We came on a Monday, not knowing it was $5 burger night... normally, if big a restaurant advertises $5 burgers, they are those frozen, thin jobs. Not here. The burgers are fresh and thick, cooked to order and served how ever you like. I ordered mine Medium, however next time, I'll order it Medium -Rare, as their medium is a little too done for me... The drink prices are great, you can up grade to a pitcher for only $6 more. Date and I shared a Deep Eddy Grapefruit pitcher, perfect size, great value. My only complaint is that the mayonaise and thousand island our lovely server brought us on the side, tasted like cheap, bulk stuff... not Best Foods or Hellman's... but all and all, we will be back and will take advantage of all the great food and great specials! read more

Went here for lunch on Monday for their $5 burgers and it was pretty darn good. Sat on the patio which was super nice. The burgers were huge and quite tasty! And honestly, you can't beat $5 for a huge burger! The fries were also pretty good. Will definitely have to go back to what else they have to offer. read more

Bouncer accuses my valid out of state ID of being "fake" and proceeds to bend and crease it, then hands it off to his boss. Came here for drinks on Tuesday afternoon. The outdoor patio was set up with heaters and a fire pit. Great drink specials and good vibes all around. The band played great covers of classic rock. So nice to see colorado supporting local businesses!! read more

This place is AWFUL!! Staff is rude and they have no idea how to run a restaurant. We waited 1 1/2 hours for a table then they said we were next. Then they said there were 7 parties ahead of us. The bouncers were seating their friends, but not the people who had been waiting forever. The best the mgr could do was try to seat us at a table with strangers. No thanks! Many staff members not wearing masks, masks on their chins, or wearing net masks. Place is dirty and they are not cleaning or social distancing. NEVER going back!! read more

If you are not a "local or regular", make sure you call to find out when the specials they are advertising end. On this past Monday morning, Labor Day, they had a post on Facebook that said "Let's finish the long weekend right. We open at 9am! Come on down for 241 Bloody Mary's & Mimosas. Band starts at 2." NO WHERE did it say when the specials ended. I drove down from Thornton with friends and family. We got there around 11:15am. Our waitress told us that the specials ended at 11!! I informed her that the post didn't say there was a "deadline" for the specials. She responded very rudely and said that was my problem. We all had 1 drink (that were $8 or more a piece!) and then left. I won't be going back to this place any time soon!! We were sitting next to the doorway for the patio and we could see that they were showing favoritism to some of the people coming in who couldn't find a seat. You could tell who they knew and who they didn't. Guess this place doesn't like "outsiders". They only care about the locals/regulars. GREAT FOOD!!! Had the fish and chips last night and came back for breakfast this morning! I have been in search of real Southern Biscuits with gravy since moving to Colorado 2 years ago...I have been served everything from yeast rolls to English muffins with different sauces that they called "biscuits and gravy" I am happy to report, Tailgate actually has the Real Biscuits and Gravy!!! We went here on a Friday night and arrived at 515 pm. Our intention was to see a yatch rock band ( Knot Rock) on the patio. To our great disappointment the patio was already full and there were several arguments over the tables. They don't take reservations for the patio only allow seating on a first come first serve basis. This caused great confusion with several parties that has been waiting each claiming they had waited longer. Totally ruined the experience. Won't come back. read more

This review is about the live music experience, something the owner does not have control over. I took at date here to have a few beverages and dance to Wash Park band. The dance floor was NOT fun: it was more like a human demolition derby. Many of the patrons were drunk and were carelessly stumbling around into anyone near them. One guy dancing by himself was flailing around madly, smashing and bashing anyone who was close by. Several couples were country-western dancing to this party band, stampeding their way into the crowd with reckless abandon. A group of drunk guys recklessly pushed their way to front of the stage and would chant after every song. A drunk girl grabbed me and tried to spin me around and was bouncing off people like a pinball. The dance floor was a cross between a high school cafeteria food fight and a classic saloon brawl- just without the food or chairs. Drinks were routinely spilled on the floor. If you want a great dance experience head up to Lincoln's Roadhouse. The dance floor gets packed and you will never experience what we just did here last night. By the way, the bar service has always been attentive and excellent; much appreciated. read more

I'm disappointed with the service I experienced yesterday. While sitting at the bar, the bartender spilled an entire pitcher on me and all that was offered was a dirty towel. I then asked for my bill, and they didn't offer to cover it at all. On top of that, I went to watch live music, but had to leave as I was covered in a pitcher of liquid. I stopped by the Tailgate Tavern & Grill after taking part in the Parker Wine Walk as part of my birthday weekend. Unfortunately my experience left me a bit underwhelmed. They have a large patio space that, on this particular evening, featured a stage and an eighties cover band. Fun! We clearly were not the only people with patio dreams that evening because it was insanely crowded out there. It. Was. Crowded. That's an understatement actually. I was gone so long (waiting) to use the restroom and get two drinks that my friends thought I had left. Ouch! Given that the wait had been so long for everything else that evening I was not about to try my luck at ordering food... Bummer because I was def starving. Clearly this is a pretty popular place; which is great. But I was disappointed by the ridiculously long waits both at the bar and for service out on the patio.
