One of the best burgers I've had in some time. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

I do want to start off by saying the food was very tasty! The service was good on our server side; however, my husband ordered the wings and was told he would receive 12. After he finished eating he noticed that he only received 8 wings and when we told the server her response was 'they do what they want' and gave him the lunch portion. She took the money off of the difference between the sizes, but it's the fact that this happens so much that the server acted as it was expected for the kitchen to do what they want and not what the customer wants. I would recommend this place, but definitely make sure you get what you expect! read more

This experience could've been so much better, but unfortunately the service really missed the mark. I do feel bad because our server mentioned she was new, but it still doesn't excuse how things went. To start, it took over 30 minutes just for our order to be taken, and then another 30+ minutes for the food to come out. We were there for about 2 hours total when this should've been a maybe hour-long visit. When the food finally came, only half of it was brought out. The rest took another 15+ minutes, so most of us finished eating before the others even got their meals. We were starving after playing pickleball, so that was frustrating. On top of that, we could literally see our food sitting there for a while before it was finally brought out. Another issue was the menu being misleading. The vegan burger is advertised as an Impossible Burger, but it was very clearly a Beyond Burger... which is a big difference if you're vegan. When we brought it up, the server tried to correct us and even showed us a picture of the patties, which honestly just confirmed our concern instead of resolving it. To make it worse, the vegan burger was supposed to come with vegan mayo and tomatoes, but didn't have either. When we asked, we were told they had run out. It would've been nice to know that ahead of time instead of finding out after the food was already served. Also... the men's bathroom was out of soap, which is just not a great look. It makes you question cleanliness overall. It honestly seemed like they were understaffed, and if that's the case, there really should've been a manager stepping in to support the staff and help smooth things over for customers... especially considering the location. I'll end on a positive note... the Oklahoma Onion burger was actually really good (not the vegan one lol) I coud've eaten 2! Oh, and it seems like a good place to come watch sports as there are TV's everywhere and a well staffed bar. read more

We drove down from Aurora to try this restaurant and we will definitely be back. The food was excellent. Our server Maci was very nice and helpful. She recommended an off-menu item that definitely needs to be added. It was Mac & cheese with fries, fried chicken, cheese, ranch and buffalo sauce. Sounds weird; tastes amazing. We were also very excited about the vegetarian options as my husband is vegetarian. He loved the samosa burger. Not being staffed appropriately for the U.S. World Cup match on a federal holiday reflects poor planning and a lack of preparation by management. The bathrooms were out of soap, the menus were sticky, and overall cleanliness was below expectations. We've visited multiple times in the past, but today's experience was abysmal. Ownership and management should be visible and actively engaging with guests during high-traffic events like this. Having only one server and one bartender working during a major sporting event resulted in unacceptable service delays. This was by far the worst service I've had at a restaurant. Our server Asia, was genuinely so disrespectful and made our experience so terrible we will never go back. Convenient location, yet crazy pub menu includes tandori chicken and other Thai and Indian foods. Beer selection has the most popular, although the two crafts I've tried had oxidized. WBG menu equally interesting, lower priced no-name wines, and high-end wines. The wine I tried I knew, but it had unfortunately oxidized. Need either more turnover, or smaller BTG wine list. Only two people working and it took over 30 minutes to arrive. It was delivered as over done. Asked for a manager but none on site. Received owner's number and he texted me back that night apologizing and offered full refund. He promised to refund the cost but then never responded. My wife and I decided to stop in here with our husky on our way home from the Castle Rock Farmers Market on a warm fall afternoon. We sat in a shady spot on the spacious, west-facing patio and ordered Margaritas and chips and dip, as we had already had lunch and weren't hungry. We got very pleasant service from a nice lady who obviously loves dogs. This past Saturday we decided to stop here for lunch on our way to see the Christmas lights in downtown Castle Rock, sitting in the sun this time. Our super nice waitress Kira brought a bowl of water for the dog without our asking. It took a while for us to decide what to order from the expansive menu. I ordered the vegetarian samosas and an Oklahoma onion burger, my wife got a gigantic tray of nachos, and we got the kids' chicken fingers for our dog. The chicken fingers were overdone - if we'd ordered them for a kid we would have sent them back, but the dog didn't mind. My burger was excellent - lots of onions and gooey melted cheese. The potato and pea samosas were very good, if slightly overcooked - the mint chutney and yogurt sauce for dipping were great. My wife said the nachos were excellent. We split the fries that came with the kids' / dog's meal, and they were just the way my wife likes them - crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and piping hot. One of the staff members came out to pet our dog and showed us pictures of his husky. The interior of the place is very pleasant - a smaller crowd was watching TVs showing NCAA football games. Many of the tables were unoccupied - I hope it gets busier in the evenings so this place sticks around. We very much enjoyed our second trip here and will happily return. read more

I have to say we are disappointed in this place. It could be so much better but you can tell the management is horrible. 1. They ran out of strawberry mix for a margarita. How?? I ordered a Rueben and it came with one piece of corned beef that was so dry it looked like bacon, one piece of cheese, no sauerkraut and no dressing. The fries were cold. When I sent it back the exact same sandwich with warm fries came out 10 minutes later. I will definitely not return. Won't attend anything at the Pines. Pro Players Association held a Celebrity Bartender Night there this past March. Many of you have attended and supported our past Celebrity Bartender events. The owner of The Pines failed to fulfill contractual obligations of displaying promotional literature and promote the event, and then he retained the funds which were raised at the bar for the benefit of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation! We provided seven celebrity bartenders who worked the event. We received ZERO funds from the tips generated by our Celebrity Bartenders! He later admitted to us, " he thought the money was for his bartenders and he gave the funds to them!" This after he supposedly read, and signed a contract explaining the event. Been wanting to try this venue for a while and finally did so yesterday afternoon (Sunday). We met friends for drinks and sat outside. The patio only one other table occupied and no one inside. Perhaps that was a sign?!? Tables that we served earlier were not cleaned. While they had some outside activities/games to do, which is appreciated, the pieces were spread throughout and we had to walk over them. The outside trash can was overflowing. We had to go search/look for napkins as they were not on the table. Our party had two beers, an old- fashion and strawberry margarita. The old-fashion was the worst he ever had (no flavor, watered down) and he switched to beer after. The margarita was a heavily pour of strawberry flavored juice....ick. As the afternoon proceeded, two orders of chicken wings were ordered: one boneless and one bone-in. What we received was two orders of boneless. Both were overcooked, rubbery/soggy and all agreed some of worst wings ever received. One order was dry-rubbed and they had no flavor- no seasoning. After waiting 45 minutes for our meal, my medium rare hamburger came out as small as a 4oz kiddy burger, cold and VERY well done along with cold fries. Sent it back and after another 40 minutes with no meal, asked for the check without ever having my dinner. Band was so loud they offered earplugs (at 5:30 at night!) so it was impossible to have any kind of a conversation. After close to two painful hours there, the check finally came and defaulted to a 20% tip that I could not reverse.! This is the review I tribally posted on Google that had more info. Figured I would give this place a try and can only say I was underwhelmed. While the staff who were there were great they needed at least one more server since a food came out luke warm at best even though staff was trying to hustle. The atmosphere makes the place look like it was thrown together with little concern of making it a sports bar, think more a warehouse lunch room. Ordered wings and few options for sauces or rubs and their hottest was, well I have had hotter ice. Came out with no ranch or bleu cheese dressing, no silverware, and even had to ask for napkins. Small but okay beer selection. Sadly a place that really could use a sports bar will probably have one fewer if they don't get their act together quick. read more
