I can't believe it took me so long to visit Venalonzo's in Parker! Been eating their food for years at the OG Centennial location, which is always packed. This location is bigger and better! It's so fun, like walking into a party. Vibrant murals, hanging flags, and the outdoor patio is a stunner. It's covered with wind sails to block the sun on these hot days! The best part? They are rocking a full bar here! After a long day, I was in desperate need for a margarita. I told them to surprise me, and though I wouldn't have ordered this one myself, it was so so delicious! You still order at the counter and I noticed some newer menu items. One of them being ribs...at a Mexican joint??? I don't know why they're making ribs, but these are covered in spicy green salsa and holy smokes they are phenomenal. I was genuinely surprised. Tender, juicy, and meaty. What else did I get? Tacos, enchiladas, taquitos, all of them were exceptional. All this food was to go to bring back to my family visiting. It took me an hour to get home in traffic! Luckily, the team packaged everything perfectly, not for any of it to get soggy. We reheated a few things and it was all amazing! We were stuffed to the brim and very happy campers. If I lived within 10 minutes of this place I would be here once a week. Prices are right, food is incredible, and the family who owns the restaurant couldn't be more hospitable. The placed looked great. Lots of culture and ready for the world cup. They have indoor and outdoor seating you order food at the counter and it gets delivered to you...in theory. Our cashier was pleasant and we ordered street tacos and a quesabrilla. We waited an hour for our food. I checked at the front and they said it will be out shortly. We waited a few more minutes and they said it will be a few more. We ended up leaving Their food might be delicious and I might have lost out on trying their food, but I was super hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. The cashier apologized. They only had 2 cooks and their order screen was full. I'm not going to give them a 1 star. Their place looked great and other people appeared to enjoy their food. I just didn't wait any longer for that opportunity. I may try them out again. We'll see. read more

Venalonzos Tacos in Parker has many things to rave about. Their second location is much larger than the original with vibrant colors, plenty of seating and a large counter to order at. Their salsa bar has plenty of options. My main request is to label the options as most are spicy (I like some spice but can only handle so much) and it's hard to know what's what. I tried the supreme birria pizza to share with a few colleagues. It comes with a side of their consommé. I ordered an extra side for $3.99 and an extra cup so all three people could dip the pizza as they wished. The pizza is huge at 14" and topped with a ton of pickled onions, guacamole, cilantro, shredded lettuce, sour cream, pico and jalapenos. Inside is the birria meat and chesse. The pizza itself is delicious and messy but in the best way. There is a lot of flavor. The consommé is good not great with no pieces of meat in it. It was a bit greasy. The reason for the four stars is that the employee who gave me my order did not give an extra cup as requested and seemed annoyed when I asked for it. On a previous visit the customer service was excellent. Something that soured my experience. Maybe it will be better next time around. The parking is shared with other businesses. read more

Another good meal here. Love this place because you don't have to wait too long for your food after placing an order at counter. They have a bar which is perpendicular to food counter so you can just order drinks there. Several flavors of margaritas but also have basic spirits too. We again got the queso biria tacos plus an order of 3 mix and match tacos. My favorite of those was carnitas but also pastor was good (just needed pineapple). Considering that it is a kid friendly place and a weekend night at dinner time it was a bit chaotic at times inside but perhaps the patio was calmer. Ha. We have been enjoying this place for almost the last year and have never had much of an issue. Food was good and service was acceptable. Unfortunately that changed today and will probably prevent us from going back. There are so many good Mexican restaurants moving into the area it's very easy to take our business elsewhere. We showed up late morning to grab some breakfast tacos and burrito to go. Order was placed and we waited and waited and waited. We saw people come in 10+ after us getting their food. We finally approached the cashier and asked if everything was ok and were told people dining in get their food made first....what?? I could see if it was a call ahead order and you gave them a time, but we were sitting there waiting. I really hope this isn't their actual policy and it was an ill-informed employee. Either way there are now better options close by so we'll use those places from now on. I eat here all the time and deliver from here all the time, but this was the first time I ever went to a function at this one and I enjoyed myself so much. It was a surprise birthday business mingle. There was plenty of space for everybody. We were all invited back for other functions, so I can't wait! The service was top-notch. I didn't have to get up from my seat, but one time, and that was just to choose my seat. My family and I have always loved Venalonzo's. We used to frequent the Centennial location and were excited when a location opened closer to us in Parker. Unfortunately, our experience today was very disappointing. After church, we placed a fairly straightforward order: a 4-count quesabirria, a 3-count quesabirria, a quesadilla, fries, a burrito bowl, and another 3-count quesabirria. The cashier seemed impatient from the start, and we were never given a receipt or asked to verify our order. As the food began coming out, items arrived sporadically and out of order. After receiving some of the food, I confirmed that we were still waiting on the 4-count quesabirria and my daughter's quesadilla. About 15 minutes later, an employee informed us that the 4-count had never been added to our ticket. I had to go back inside and reorder my husband's meal, despite it being one of the first items I originally requested. When I spoke with the manager, I expected at least an apology for the oversight. Instead, I was told that I should have verified the order on the screen. However, after multiple orders had been entered behind ours, it was no longer possible to see and verify everything that had been rung up. A simple receipt would have prevented this entire situation. After explaining my frustration and the inconvenience caused by the mistake, a discount was eventually provided, which I appreciated. However, no apology was offered, and I still was not given a receipt. The missing quesabirria order eventually came out, and my daughter's quesadilla only arrived after I had asked about it multiple times. The food itself was good, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Mistakes happen, but accountability, communication, and basic customer service go a long way. I hope management considers implementing a practice of providing receipts for every order and handling customer concerns with a little more empathy and professionalism. read more

This is a fairly new gem! The food and margarita menu is humongous for such a small place nestled in downtown Parker in a shopping center. It is family, friendly, Clean, vibrant, fun atmosphere quick service that you can stop in and pick up or sit down and enjoy at a table. After having a few dinners at Venalonzos I was finally able to get a chance to try their breakfast burritos. As expected, they were outstanding. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready and accurate. They are very large and super good. I went with a bacon and it was very flavorful. I took advantage of the salsa bar and they associate provided me plastic cups with lids. One downside that is NOT their fault and I bring it up for awareness is the parking lot is very cramped and hard to get a parking spot on Saturday nights due to the sports bar two doors down. read more

This place is a great spot for tacos. The food is authentic and has a lot of flavor. I have had the Queso Birria tacos and they are delicious! The beans are really good as well. This is a small spot and seating is limited, so I always take my food to go. Once I get home it is still fresh and delicious. What I really like about this place is they serve truly authentic Mexican cuisine. Even the decor is truly Mexican. Venalonzo's has a great Mexican beer lineup. I had heard so much about Venalonzo's tacos in Parker that I needed to make a point of trying it and was left satisfied but felt the food, and device were average. This is a counter service restaurant so you order at the counter but they do bring it out to you. Despite a bunch of people behind the counter it took a while to be helped and I got an exhausted feeling from the woman who took our order, but we all have those days. The food is prepared fresh and takes a few minutes to come out and at the price they are charging I would expect this to be the case. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and clean and they have a little patio off to the side that is comfortable as well. As stated above they charge a premium for their food, and while it is a bit expensive for what it is, it is not egregious. Though I'm not going out of my way to go back. TL:DR - In a town rich with Mexican food restaurants Venalanzo's Tacos does nothing to separate itself from the pack, but has decent food. read more

I really want to like this location...I really really do... so I keep going back. This time I took my order to go. The food was decent, I didn't get the birria this time. I did notice I was getting nickel and dimed though. They charge for salsa if they throw it in the bag for you...however they have a salsa bar and you can get it yourself for free. Also, they charge a "plastic bag fee", this is different than the bag tax king soopers is forced to do. They're basically just charging you for a bag cuz hey, why not?
