My first time in the store I was greeted by friendly staff and I enjoyed checking out the shop. However, I was beyond blown away by the absurd fire arm prices. USED firearms at 45% mark ups compared to their new MSRP prices (the one I looked at was $679 but brand new at any gun shop is $379 -- make that make sense?! And it's found a plenty. There is not a shortage on them or guns right now -- hasn't been for years.) I politely asked the woman if there was anything special about the firearm I inquired about. She said she knew nothing about the gun, just mentioned it came with two magazines. Alrighty then, I told myself. I guess they just rely on price over volume. I'll see myself out, no big deal. I left happy because I wasn't interested in buying a gun that day on the spot and the staff was very kind. I had no complaints but was still stumped by the price on that gun. I came back a few days later and the staff pulled a 180 on me. Before I had even made it to the counter I got hard pressed and yelled at for touching their glass counter top that displays theirs guns. Listen I don't really give a crap how I'm talked to, I'm a grown man, but dang, represent your business and yourself better than that. Without going on and on, I brought in a gun to sell and the woman offered me $75 for a $550 gun. I asked for $250 and she basically told me to F off. "I don't care it's condition it's used -- your gun isn't special it's a smith and Wesson -- you think we can run a shop buying guns for that much?" So then, I decide to tell her, "I only brought my gun in here to sell to you because I noticed ***points at a gun in her case****" and she cuts me off because she knows I'm about to call her out on her BS. They are charging $679 for a gun that is $379 brand new!!!!! Pure insanity!!!! She got SOOO defensive I was just grinning. The first time I'm in the shop she didn't know why the gun was so expensive or the first thing about it, yet the next day "i research all these guns and put their fair going value on the tag." No damn way! I brought my gun to this shop, because I figured if they are screwing people over on the selling end, maybe they aren't half bad on the buying end. NOPE! Just highway 121 robbery ;) Perhaps no one has called her on her bogus before. When I did she lost her mind with every excuse and belittling comment in the book. She told me "no one is buying guns in Biden's economy. Everyone is broke, I have 15 guns in the back waiting to put on this shelf and can't put them up here because nothing on this shelf is moving." Alright settle down Jerome Powell Junior!! I didn't know you were a macro-economics expert! The reason you don't move product is because you are charging 45% more for used products over brand new MSRP. Her caveat there is that Pawn shops are negotiable. Alright, let me know when I can talk you down 70% on your prices. I'm sure that's their business model... set prices high and just concede to a 70% reduction. Once again, highway 121 robbery. I have one suspicion why a shop would sell guns at such a high price but it is not for me to presumptuously opine on such suspicions on a public forum. Anyway, went over to Scheels, sold my MP Shield to them for $280 and picked up the gun she was charging 40% higher (FORTY -- FOR freakin TY -- F O R T Y) for for the actually MSRP, brand spanking new for $379. Subtract the trade in Valur and I'm out the door with a brand new gun at Scheel's for $100. I would not recommend this business.

I had a similar type of visit that a previous yelper had with this store. I went in looking to…read morepart with a steam cleaner worth about $300 and various power tools, some brand name, and some not, that I had inherited when my father passed away, but all were like new and had extra batteries and chargers that worked perfectly as well. I had never done business with a Pawn Shop, so I was a little nervous going in, and wasn't sure how this whole process worked. At first, I walked in and started looking around to see if they even offered the types of things I had to sell because it seems like most of the store was dedicated to guns and gun related products. I went in wearing clothes that were fitting, with no purse or bag, and just had my car key in my hand. The guy upfront still watched me like a hawk, I mean almost making me uncomfortable, like he thought I was going to try to steal something. So I immediately stopped looking and went straight up to him to discuss what I was looking to sell. He had an unfriendly and unwelcoming demeanor from the start of our conversation to the end of our conversation, which ended up not lasting very long. He immediately started shaking his head and saying no to everything I mentioned I had to sell, and didn't even want to hear everything I had. He kept saying, no he (whoever "he" is) wouldn't let me buy that, and no, we don't buy anything like that, even though if you take a quick walk around the store, they clearly do buy and sell everything I had to offer. He even referred me to a different Pawn shop on the other side of town saying they would be a better place for me to go! That totally blew my mind because as an experienced merchandiser, I have been working in retail, grocery, big box stores, etc for many years now. I also was a customer service consultant for many retail stores in the past, and I have never heard of a business sending a customer to their competitor saying that place would be better for them! That just doesn't happen! Maybe Pawn shops are different, I have zero experience with these types of shops, and maybe that is something they do regularly and I just don't understand, but I felt like he just didn't want to deal with me and sent me away. I have read other reviews on other sites regarding this particular store, and a lot of them seemed very positive, so I can't for the life of me understand why I had the experience that I had. They do seem to specialize more in guns and gun related items (their website even has guns in the name www.ennisguns.com) so maybe that is the type of customer they really cater to. Either way, I wouldn't suggest stepping a foot into this place unless you had gun related business to discuss with them, because their pricing on non gun related items were a little high in my opinion.

I looked at it a couple times and final told my husband I would take that one. So he and I told the guy we would take one. Then we looked at the Marlin 357 (gray one) he said he wanted that one to put in layaway. We had been looking for about 30 minutes with the same clerk talking about the guns. When I put my CHL up on the counter the clerk stated HE SAID HE WANTED THEM SO HE HAS TO PUT THEM IN HIS NAME and do THE BACKGROUND CHECK. I told him it was actually me that said I wanted the Charles Daly and he picked out the 357 Marlin. He kept saying HE STATED HE WANTED THEM HE HAS TO BE THE ONE TO BUY THEM. I again stated that we had been coming in there for ever buying guns and had never had this issue. (we bought 5 guns at Christmas and shopped together and discussed which guns we would get AS HUSBAND AND WIVES DO) and never had this issue. He told the other clerk to put them back that he was NOT selling them to us. Maybe he does not know that people discuss purchases they are making when married. Maybe it was all of our TATOO'S but it was very Embarrassing to both of us. I have had my CHL long before TEXAS became an open carry state. The other clerk was working there at Christmas when we bought the 5 guns then. I plan to go in on Monday and speak with the owner about the clerk and how embarrassing of an issue he made this experience for us. I can understand that they are taught to make sure the sell is for the person doing the background check. But at the end of the day, I am the person filling out the paperwork putting my name on it and stating that I AM the person buying the gun for me.

The owner and his wife always greet you as you walk through the door. As others have said, it is predominantly a music and gun shop but I will add to that, coins and some jewelry. Their pricing is average, not high, not low. What I really like is that you get a sense that it is an honest business and these are members of the community who represent it well. As with any pawn shop, know the value of what you have or what you are looking for and they are willing to strike a fair deal for both parties. I recently made a trade with them and was very happy with the deal we made. I have always been treated well in this business as a browser and look forward to my relationship with then as an ongoing customer

I parked on the east side of the pawn shop in the shade, because there is no shade at the barbershop, and by law he couldn't let me bring Emma in. The owner of the pawn shop came out telling me to move, even though my pickup wasn't in anyone's way, and the temperature was over 100 degrees. I showed her my little dog, and she said she didn't care, I needed to go park in the sun.
