I take my labrador here and the staff are always nice. I love whatever scent of shampoo/conditioner or spray they put when they give the dogs baths. My pup comes out super soft and smells amazing. They do a great job. You do have to pay extra $5 for nail trim I believe and teeth cleaning. However, they're super affordable and also have a variety of supplies for your dog as well. I am very pleased with how much hair they removed because she was shedding and needed a good cut. However I did notice they knicked her on her chest close to her left armpit. What a great find! I happened to be in the area and needed a nail grind for both of my dogs. Found this gem on my gps and it had pretty high ratings on google. So I went there and was so happy to find friendly people who were not busy at a place that charges an extremely reasonable $11/dog for this service. My smaller dog's nails took maybe 3 min and only a few minutes more for the bigger one...but the groomer still apologized for the "wait". I couldn't be happier with all aspects of this experience. We've been going here for quite a while now and absolutely love Urban Mutts. Primarily, three of our four pups go there every other week for nail trims and they all rotate going in for spa days. My oldest, a Brussels Griffon/Pom mix used to LOVE going to the groomer we used to go to...until something happened. Nobody every told us anything happened but after one appointment, she was touchy about anyone messing with a certain paw and just would NOT have it going back there. That said, she loves going in to Urban Mutts. The staff always treat us wonderfully and they treat the dogs better, in our experience. I love bringing my 4 yr old pup here because well they always make him look so handsome. Price is amazing the only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because there has been 2 times I take him in with a certain look and I'm very specific how I want him and tell them and when I picked him up he they forgot one thing. Last time he was there I told them to keep his face round the teddy bear look and fluff him up with shaved paws they got the fluffy part and shaved feet but was disappointed that they shaved his snout down & I felt he looked like a girl. We've used Urban Mutts several times since moving here. It's very close to us which makes it convenient. Prices are good...I've priced a few for my two dogs and they are affordable. They get a bath, trim, blow dry, brush, nails and anal glands for $40 a piece. I have a westhighland terrier and a cairn terrier. The scheduling is pretty easy to get in, I've even called for an appt. the next day and gotten right in. The facility is small but its clean. My pets never seem weird or worried when they go in which is a good sign to me. My dogs are usually in at 9am and out at 11am so its easy to plan my day. read more

Posting this for my mother in law We took our Guinea pig Mr. Pickles here, just before their 3pm closing on 7.6.2021, to get his nails trimmed. He was in his box on my lap the entire way down there, there was no top and I could clearly see him and there was nothing wrong with him. My husband drove and took him in. When they got back in I took posession of the box. On our way home I noticed a pink spot on his neck. On closer inspection it was a patch of skin where the hair had been pulled out. I would have noticed it at home and especially when we took him. The box had no top and I could clearly see him. It appeared like someone had grabbed him by the scruff of the neck like a rabbit and pinched the hair off. My husband tried to call them but they were closed. Someone called back the next day. My husband explained his wound. The woman put him on hold to talk to the groomer and when she came back she said the groomer had noticed a "hot spot" on him. If this were true she said nothing to us, or declined to treat him. We have taken our dog and My son & wife's dog to get their nails trimmed there before. No problems. My husband asked if they could clip a Guinea Pig's nails and the woman said yes. 1. If they did not know how to handle a Guinea Pig they should have said no. 2. There is no excuse for hurting an animal. 3. Take responsibility for what your groomer did. Own it! We weren't even going to ask for our money back. They did a good job on his nails, but at the expense of his fur. 4. Learn how to handle the animals you groom. 5. Because of the way they chose to handle this we have to look for a new place to care for our pets. read more

I have taken my puppy 3 or 4 times to this groomer. I asked for Mandy since she is the one has done my puppy's groom. This last time I asked to talk to Mandy before the grooming. I told her to be really careful with two skin lumps she has. She cut one of them. When picked her up. No one mention anything. Then I got home I saw it a little red. Then 2 days later it got infected. I went back to let them know that they cut it and that I asked specifically to be extra careful. I didn't get an apology or anything. Wow and wow, first timers @ Urban Mutts on Ann Rd. We have a 4 month old Morkie named Harley and we were nervous where we could take her for her first cut. We looked online and after 15 minutes of calling groomers around the area who were very short, rude and all booked up. We almost gave up looking until!.. We saw Urban Mutts on Ann Rd. We crossed our fingers and called. They were very pleasant over the phone and were able to work with my schedule to have Harley brought it. I brought in Harley Sunday morning and were greeted at the counter with smiles and pleasantry. We got the groomer and Harley acquainted and she couldn't be more excited.
