My 17-year-old daughter took our small 20-pound Shih Tzu-Poodle mix to Clip N Tails for what was supposed to be a full-service grooming appointment. Everything was confirmed clearly at drop-off -- the service was to include: haircut, shampoo and blow-dry, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, nail trim, and trimming of the sanitary areas and face -- all for a quoted price of $70. What was actually done was only a portion of that service: our dog received a shampoo and blow-dry, nail trim, teeth brushing, and a bottom shave. However, he did not receive a haircut, ear cleaning, or face trim -- major parts of a full groom that were clearly promised and paid for. When my daughter picked him up, she immediately noticed that he had not received a haircut and asked about it. She was told that if she wanted his haircut done, she could bring him back tomorrow and pay an additional $10. Yes -- they expected her to pay again for the haircut that was already part of the original $70 service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Clip N Tails less than five minutes after my daughter left the store to address the issue. The woman who answered said she "wasn't sure which dog" I was referring to -- which, honestly, made me question how many other customers might be experiencing similar issues that day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I explained the situation, she immediately told me that we would not be receiving a refund for the services that were not performed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then asked to speak with the owner, hoping to resolve the situation professionally. I took my doggie Batman to get groomed for the first time. I've always just given my dogs baths at home, but it's hard to find the time sometimes. Also, Batman has gotten a bit too big to fit in our shower. I brought him in. He was very excited. Yamly did his grooming and it was exceptional. He was so happy when we picked him up. He smelt absolutely amazing and looked so precious with his bandana. I will definitely be making this a monthly routine. I highly recommend this place. The location is down the street from me. We had an appointment at 11:45 am. They said they would call us when he was ready. We knew they closed at 4:00 pm, so came in person to check in at 3:50 pm. At that point, they hadn't even started on him. They said they were really behind and would still try to get him finished . Less than 30 minutes later, they call us back. You could tell they rushed . They gave him a buzz cut and essentially gave him a lions mane of a haircut. We asked for them to give him a sanitary grooming and there was hair everywhere and just overall uneven cut. It was $75, for 25 -30 min subpar grooming....You could really tell our dog had been sitting in the kennel for 4 hrs with no water or bathroom breaks.
