708. General Tso's Bean Curd
D T.

Best General Tso Bean Curd (tofu) I've ever had! Has a nice variety of vegetarian options. Quick order to pick-up times. Great portions, reasonable prices.

Chicken

THE most disgusting fried chicken I've ever had in my life. The breading was so thick, it broke off in huge chunks and had no seasoning. Then, There was barely any meat on the wing. There's so many other food options in the area , go to them because this place is so nasty I can't understand how they're still in business.

Good lord. I was in Leesburg for work & had a hankering for some chinese on the cheap. I saw the lunch special was for $5.95 and though "oh, cool". I should've known from the get-go this was not a good idea. I ordered the "Paradise Chicken". In honesty, it was tiny pieces of chicken rolled in half-cooked dough drenched in soy sauce w/ half cooked veggies. RUN AWAY from this place!! The lady at the front was so nice & sweet so I hate to have to leave this review, but it is what it is ‍

Why four stars instead of five: Egg drop soup was a bit off on flavor, but the hot & sour soup was spot on. No spare ribs, but this was the day after Thanksgiving and they probably didn't get a delivery. As with many of the Chinese restaurants in Northern Virginia, they only have spring rolls, no egg rolls. The sizzling beef with scallops was light on both, but the flavor was excellent. Overall, it's a good choice for Chinese food, but probably not the best around. We'll keep looking.

Unfortunately, I really regret coming. I should have trusted the reviews. For $24.99, the selection was extremely limited, and there wasn't much worth eating. The food was disappointing, and it definitely wasn't worth the price. The plates and utensils also looked dirty, which made the experience even worse. I wanted to cry watching my hard earned $24.99 disappear. I will never come back. In my opinion, this buffet is nowhere near worth $24.99. If it were $9.99, maybe it would make sense. Based on my experience, I wouldn't be surprised if this place goes out of business.

I really appreciate your work ethic and that you worked so hard even though you were the only person who was there. This man single handedly made our order of 4 trays, meaning we got 4 spring rolls, 4 parts fried rice, and orders of Lo Mein, Double Fried Pork, General Tso's, Kung Pao. That is a lot of food and I respect you greatly. Now onto the review. Walking into this restaurant we were greeted by a sticker that said, "People love us on Yelp" immediately prompting me to look at all parts of the restaurant as to make a great review. We were excited and hungry when we walked in and asked for our order as stated above. And as stated above there was only one man who worked there. Because he was the only man there, it took 42 minutes of waiting for that food to arrive and although the food was pretty tasty, it wasn't nearly worth the wait. I already stated my gratitude towards the worker there and I'll do it again. The Spring Rolls we had were fine and seemed average maybe a little below average. The Fried Rice was the same, I've had better I've had worse. Plus it was luke-warm. The General Tso's was absolutely PEAK! It was spot-on man. Same with the Kung Pao which tasted really good. The Lo-Mein however had minimal flavor and needed soy sauce and more veggies. The Double Fried Pork was very chewy but the sauce was really good. Overall, I did like the food somewhat and the only problem was that we waited 42 minutes. If the workers there are reading this, I would recommend having at least 2 people on the job at all times because 42 minutes is way too long. If anyone is reading this review and goes to this restaurant, please bring your phone, go into the bathroom, lift up the lid on the trash can, and see if there is still a picture of that one man on the bottom part of the lid. Then post it on Yelp. I will check back and see if anyone complied. That is my side quest for you today.

What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. And for as much food as we order, the price was pretty reasonable! We look forward to our next visit!

For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

Be prepared to hunt for the place if you've never been to the shopping center, which is quite close to Route 7. We were here around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. At that time of day, there was one occupied table. Ordering food means going to the counter and giving your order to the person working there, and then paying. They have a menu on the wall, but the woman working there told us to look at the paper menu. Apparently, the menu on the wall is constantly changing. Before coming, we decided to order Mongolian beef, ma po tofu, and two small bowls of hot and sour soup. At first, my husband couldn't find the Mongolian beef on the menu. I took a look and found it is listed under the chef's specials. We gave our order and also got a can of ginger ale from the refrigerated chest. After paying, we chose a four top table for ourselves. The food came out quickly! First, the hot and sour soup came. It was served hot and did have some kick to it. We both enjoyed it. It does have quite a few button mushrooms in it, which I gave to my husband. Just as we were finishing the soup, both our entrees arrived. We both liked the Mongolian beef (which also had an abundance of button mushrooms). The sauce was tasty, and the beef was tender. As for the ma po tofu, we thought it was okay but could have been better. It's a meat-free entree that basically has large pieces of tofu, a lot of thin, spicy sauce, and bits of green onions. We each were given generous portions of white rice. We would consider visiting again in the future, as the service was excellent. As for ambiance, it has a carry-out place feel. It's kept quite clean.

FOOD/DRINK: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5…read moreEXPERIENCE: 4/5 We have been hearing the hype about Jasmine being the best Chinese food in Loudoun county. Finally, it came a day where we had time to go to Leesburg and try out their food. The ambiance was very much like the 90s Chinese restaurants - chandeliers, fish tank, and dark wood. We were seated immediately and were given water. My husband ordered a Shirley Temple ($3.50), while I ordered oolong tea. I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived in a tea pot (also 90s aesthetic) for $3! I easily got 3-4 cups of tea out of it. The oolong tea was perfectly steeped and warm enough to drink immediately. For food, we ordered sesame chicken, pork lo mein, and chose fried rice instead of steamed rice for the sesame chicken. Sesame chicken ($16)- the flavor was on point, but it wasn't as crispy as I like. Maybe there was too much sauce and it was originally more crispy Pork lo mein ($11) - I was hoping that it would arrive with red pork (char siu) and it did indeed!!!! The noodles weren't too oily and the char siu was roasted nicely, albeit dry in some pieces Side of fried rice - now, this is where it took a turn. It was hard from either not being cooked enough or from sitting out. We didn't enjoy this at all. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would come again for it as it's cheaper than most places around here. I also liked that you could pay right away with the electronic tablet they have. Our waitress didn't really check on us after we got our food, but we also weren't waiting around. I liked that they are open until 10 as well.
