I was fortunate to be with a large party and we decided to order several dishes and share. Everything was delicious, and the banana flower salad was memorable and we ordered two. I'd also recommend the veggie sides, carrots, bok choy, and brussels sprouts. Chik'n & Mi is a wonderful place for a date, solo dining or spending time with friends. Overall, this is a wonderful place that accommodated all of our needs.

I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. The chef from the hibachi vendor came to check on us adter we were eating to see of we were satisfied. That was kind. Both days they were out of egg rolls. Utensils are self-service and you bus your own table, but are still encouraged to tip when ordering. My veggie bowl was fine. One member of our party reported that her burger was bland even though it was swimming in cheese sauce and had extra jalapeños. Positives: the seven of us ate from 3 different vendors. Most people enjoyed their food. Street parking was easy and I saw a sign saying free parking in the back. Cocktails are available from one vendor, and they have a trivia night. The atmosphere was lively but not super loud. I think adding a few more vendors and doing some deep cleaning would bring this place up to a 4. I plan to return to try the sushi.

Lively atmosphere, creative cocktails, and delicious food make for a fun culinary experience. Peruvian and Asian cuisines combine to make a creative menu. My husband loves their Lomo Tartare appetizer and the lightly spicy "Summer in Saigon" cocktail. I'm a fan of their new "Dark Daq" cocktail and the edamame appetizer. We like all of their entrees. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is friendly and attentive. Unlike other places, you won't get constantly interrupted with questions about the food or the service. It's a small place and it's generally busy most of the time we've been there. I highly recommend Dos Mundos for a special night out or a bite and drinks with friends!
