And we're not talking about the "first sip of coffee will never be as good as subsequent one" phenomenon - there are some material differences, at least on thislast visit ('last', as in 'most recent' as well as, possibly 'ultimate' or 'final' visit). TIME: this may be minor, but where the first was a breeze-through (I mean, what do you think "Take 5' stands for - Brubeck and Desmond?), I was in there for a total of no less than 25 minutes, and I was the second in line. Sure - we've grown impatient, yada, yada, yada, but when you bill yourself as quick change, you should staff accordingly. Perhaps they're just too busy stretching it out to get more money from you. VALUE: I loved how they gave me allowance for my own oil and filter that first time - 180 from then. now, if you're using your own oil, you don't get much of a break. With their $25 off coupon, I still went well over 100 bucks for a synthetic oil change. I'm better off going to the dealer, which ALSO offers a coupon HONESTY: I was really impressed with how they charged me a very reasonable price for a filter (I brought my own, but it was the wrong kind). Now, they do like they're trying to get your last penny. I had a quart of synthetic oil that I told them I couldn't use; they said they can't give me any credit for it, and true to their word, didn't (a quart of synthetic is $-$10 even at Costco). In fact, while they give you a free fluid check, what they charge you to replenish - even a little bit - is enough to buy a gallon 5 times over. They left the wrench attached to my car. Not a good look. I called and left a message about it and never got contacted back. I only realized that this happened after hearing a crazyyy sound while I was driving afterward. I had to get use my roadside to get someone out to jack the car up for me so I could detach it. The store still hasn't called me and I've followed up. Very unfortunate seeing as though this is my go to spot. The other unfortunate part about this past experience is that I had to call the customer service to get someone to come out to service me after 15 minutes or waiting outside because they didn't see me and no one was outside. Rolled in for a much overdue oil change this morning- it's my first time here and though it was more expensive than making an appointment and waiting for it, you're definitely paying for convenience here. $100 for a full check of my car inside and underneath. I highly recommend Take5 (200 N State Rd 434, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714). I was greeted with a cold drink, a smile, and an introduction by Darin. The guys were fast, professional, and very friendly. I was not over sold on items that I normally turn down, but I did hear a car next to me ask to by wiper blades and she was quickly supplied. My experience was so awful that I downloaded Yelp just to leave this review. Justin was unprofessional from the moment I arrived. He didn't even say hello nor did his manager Michael. My fiancé is a Firefighter and Marine and has always taken his vehicles to Take 5 for the quick service and wonderful treatment of service members. He was working at the fire station today so I took his car in for him with his military ID and drivers license that matched the registration of his vehicle. They refused to honor the military discount as they always have and even refused when I offered he could call, facetime, or return the following day in person. How cold and unprofessional. I pulled into the parking by this shop because I had a flat. I attempted to change my tire but the lugs were on super tight. Rather than wait for AAA to call me back, I walked over to Take5 oil change and asked the guy in the shop if they could change my tire. They were very receptive so I asked them to add an oil change. They were quick, courteous, and made sure I was happy with their service. They cleaned my windows, and even upgraded my oil for the same price because they didn't have enough of the oil I asked for because of the long holiday that preceded my visit. I visited this location for an oil change on 11/7/19. I did like the speed, and efficiency of the service. What I didn't like, however, was "Eli'" the technician's insistence on addressing me with the terms "my man" and "bro" during my visit, and at a rate that was completely obsessive. I'm a relatively down to earth person, but it was so constant that it quickly reached an irritating level :"What's up my man", "here you go my man", "pop the hood my man", "what's your address my man", and on, and on, on, and, on, and on until my departure at which time, of course, I was thanked for coming with another "my man"/"bro". By my count I was addressed this way, by "Eli", at least 10 times. I'm not one of his friends, nor am I one of his peers. And be advised that I generally have absolutely no problem being addressed by my first name which he was fully aware of. He should try utilizing my first or last name. In hindsight I wish I would have said something to Eli about his ignorance while still on the premises. Hey owner, if your reading this, I recommend you get a more educated person than "Eli" to manage your customer's oil changes. read more

Hi there, I hope this review helps someone steer clear of Michael (The Manager). I have been coming to this location for the past couple of years to have oil changes on both my vehicles. EVERYTIME I see Michael, he is always in a fowl mood... this time I had him as my writer. It took me 30 min to wait for one car in front of me to be finished. Once it was my turn, there was no water offered and 0 sense of urgency... halfway through the process, I notice Michael and two other employees just standing and talking to each other in front of my truck about something unrelated to the current situation. I asked them nicely if they were finished because I had things I needed to do. Michael proceeded to say, "you should have taken care of everything before you came". He continued arguing with me about how I should have more time for an oil change... never gave me my debit card or receipt. Very unhappy with the service I received from Michael! if i could give less than 1 star i would. this place is the worst. i went in for an oil change today and not only did i have to wait close to 25 minutes in the bay while the guys slowly worked in a car and were more worried about their music but they also lost a drill bit in the engine of the car next to me. i should have seen the signs. they dont even know left from right. i watched a tech go the wrong way to loosen a bolt in my engine and then another tech correct him and go the opposite direction. next thing i know tech come over to me to tell me that "the last person who did my oil change tighten the bolt too tight and they cant get it off". no shit the first tech tightened it and i watched him torch it for a solid 2 minutes tightening it instead of loosin it. they took no accountability and wouldnted even tell me their managers name and contact number after i asked. just a simple youll have to go to the website. this place is absolute trash. they hire the most uneducated people that dont even know how to take off a bolt. not only that but they closed my hood with oil hand prints all over it. my car left the place in worse condition than when i showed up. i am requesting that a manager contact me immediately because i have proof of all of this and will escalate this to the highest extent. read more
