Went to get an oil change, had Devron help with the service, smooth, and he helped me save some money

My daughter, 16, just got her license and a used car. As a responsible driver she headed in to get an oil change. Figured it would be somewhat expensive, but under $100. They took advantage of her, and added a coolant exchange for $140. Didn't tell her the price, but told her her car needed it. Didn't check the coolant first to see if it was a problem. And coolant is topped off if needed with the oil change. Rip off. Would not recommend, and she'll tell a lot of new drivers she knows to avoid Take 5 in Burlington, NC. read more

I travel the country for work and stop in primarily at Take 5's because they're usually quick and im in and out. This particular Take 5 is worth of note since Ive been to many of them across the country and have had great experiences at the others but this one takes the cake. Ive never had a Take 5 get done this fast. I normally dont bother with giving reviews but this time they deserve the praise. read more

The name is inexplicably misleading. I had two cars in front of me and I sat for 90 min . What part does the "take 5" part step in? Employees very nice and came around to see if anyone talked to me yet. They offered bottles of water while we waited. I won't be coming back read more

Fast, friendly, no appointment needed. A little pricey, but that's expected with the convenience.

I got an oil change in August from here was going in a trip. This week I had an inspection and they told me I had an oil leak. The oil leak turned out to be the oil cap was not tightened when they did the oil change. Fast I guess is not always good. Ended up costing $200 to make sure it didn't damage anything and pressure wash the engine because there was oil everywhere. Think twice about taking your vehicle here. read more

Highly recommend this place for oil changes! We know nothing about cars and my sister and I took our mom's here today. I couldn't figure out how to open the hood as I don't drive this car often and they were so patient helping me. They provided super fast service and made sure that everything was in order with the car before I left. The guys were also some of the nicest people I have spoken to in a while! read more

This is a horrible co mpany, run!!!!...I took my Santa Fe XL there on 5/20/23, they couldn't even do that correctly, left my radiator cap off, my car ran hot and destroyed my radiator,company refuses to pay for their negligence, I wish I could post this and give this company negative stars but can't post unless you give at least 1 star read more

These guys have no clue what they're doing... if I could give 0 stars I would.. they drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil & then they put 9 quarts of oil in my car. Meaning they flooded the crap out of my motor with oil and never even put any transmission fluid back in the car........ won't even take responsibility thanks Take 5! read more

Took my truck in there on a Saturday mind you my truck takes 15 quarts of oil pay $211 for an oil change that following Monday went to a store came out realized that there's oil over the ground I call they come out end up putting 7 quarts of their own oil in and then 5 quarts of mine so 12 quarts low on a 15 quart vehicle all because they took the O-ring off of the oil filter and did not replace it. Do not take your vehicle here bunch of young kids that don't know what they're doing 10 minute oil change no wonder stuff gets fucked up after they fix the problem they gave me a free oil change next time which that's very nice of them. I appreciate it but I will never take my vehicle back here regardless if it's free or not and then they ask for your receipt from your service that they did and then they don't give you your receipt back. read more

4 out of 5 stars because they never showed me my old oil filter being discarded. I believe one of the most common complaints from customers about oil changes has to do with the old oil filter (and other bits and pieces) not really being replaced. I will return to this location and I will ask to see my old oil filter being discarded. It's unfortunate there are trust issues - but there are - and companies like this should make an effort to earn trust by showing customers their old parts being chucked. The location is easy to get to. Service was prompt. Technicians were friendly, neat, professional and wearing masks. I asked about the different grades of oil and got a great explanation with no pressure/no upselling. read more

Went to get fluids checked and was taken a while come to find out they had did a full service and the worker no worries he would cut me a deal printed me a receipt gave me a cabin air filter that would last for months and it lasted a couple of days and charged me 44 $ he said with a good tip I had had a stroke I gave him 50$ and said keep the change I will never go back to there cause I was robbed by the worker this is a bad place beware the guy said he was the manage all this have been free there mistake not mine if I can find my receipt I will call corp. This is the most expensive oil change I have ever had. It cost me $80+ with a $10 coupon for a regular oil change. I was told my Kia Sorento takes 7quarts of oil and the oil change only allows for 5 quarts. I was charge about $7 per quart for the extra two quarts. This was about $40 more than the dealership and there I get my tires rotated. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I used to come here, I was up sold on window wipers that were WORST than the ones I already had, when I came back for a replacement, the work place wasn't clean, I left with a nail in my tire & the wiper blades weren't any better!!! Horrible service, drivers beware!!! read more

I just took my first ever trip to Take 5 and I wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars. Sam and Anthony were extremely welcoming and friendly and were focused on delivering top notch service vs other places that are trying to sell you everything but the kitchen sink. I will never go here again. The assistant manager is who I talk to when I first drove in and he asked me if I wanted full synthetic oil and I said no I want regular oil. They proceed to do my oil change and tell me it was a synthetic blend. I clearly told them I wanted regular oil and did not get it. from my understanding once you go to synthetic you can't go back to using regular oil. He said since it's a blend I can go back to using conventional oil. I will find out when I talk to a different mechanic. I will not go here again for sure read more

I tried this oil change place because my minivan was dinging that it needed an oil change and I was in between errands with my three kids in tow. I wanted something quick and thought I would give it a try. I was able to pull right in and it took them less than 15 minutes to change the oil and do a safety check. The best part was, I didn't have to get out of the car, nor did I have to get all my kids out. The manager greeted me with a cold water bottle and offered juice boxes and snacks to my kids. They were happy as clams and kept occupied during the oil change! The price they charged seemed to be comparable to other places I've taken the van for the same service. Took my SUV in for an oil change, also changed an air filter and had air added to one tire that was indicating low. Within a week of the oil change, I noticed oil in the driveway on a consistent basis and the windshield washer pump was no longer working. I made an appointment at the dealership to have the SUV serviced. During my oil change Take 5 stripped my oil plug which caused my oil leak. In addition, when they changed the air filter, they pinch and ultimately severed the hose for my washer fluid when they put the casing back on. I would highly recommend staying away from Take 5. Everything on my SUV they touched, they broke. read more

The system that they use amongst the crew is very transparent, you know exactly what is going on each step of the service, then they all switch and check each other's work. My wife took her car for an oil change and 4 weeks later the engine started knocking. I had a certified mechanic look at it and he said who ever changed your oil is responsible because there was oil leaking all over where the oil filter was. I called and spoke to the assistant manager yesterday and still no response. Guess I'll got the legal route. read more

Do not ever go here. Brought my car in twice and both times ended up having to take it to a mechanic because they did not replace the screws on the splash guard and it ended up falling down and causing more damage and caused oil to be slowly leaking out. Also was charged for a filter replacement and found out they didn't actually replace the filter. Will not be bringing my car here ever again. Very disappointed. read more
