I used to frequent this particular location because it's closest to home. Due to previous encounters with employees and management we went to the one on Sunset, my daughter took her car recently to Denvine and proclaimed she had the best experience, I took her word for it and scheduled my next oil change to return, I must say William D was the most professional and courteous person Ive encountered in the 35 yrs our family deals with Jiffy. I am elated that we will now be able to return to convenience at the closer location. He is an asset to the organization. Happy to see it! read more

My college student took her Toyota Highlander in for an oil change. They charged her about $180 total. I called to get details on what services were performed and the rep told me that they did the oil change and replaced the oil cap, which they told her was broken. She also added that the oil change comes with vacuuming and some other cleaning service. The vacuuming/cleaning was NOT done. I can't help but suspect whether the oil cap was ACTUALLY replaced. In addition, while on the phone with my daughter that day she said that they were rude. I have found that ripping people off and doing the bare minimum in a job just to get by has become the norm these days. I just hope that the service people find this same treatment when they have to get service somewhere so they see how it feels. read more

Went there today to get my oil topped off (got my oil changed a month or so ago at a Jiffy Lube and was under the 3k mile limit for a refill.) Drove almost 200 miles before I realized the lady who put my oil in left the cap off. Not only did she leave it off, but when she closed it, she was jamming the hood down to close it, even looked underneath to see why it wasn't closing, she knew the cap was jammed, yet she sent me on my merry way. Didn't say too much to me while my car was being serviced. Spent about 20 minutes trying to finesse the cap out because the hood wouldn't open. God knows how much oil I lost on the way home, or what damage was done underneath the hood. Would not recommend going to this location, go to Take 5 or even Wal-Mart. Will be calling upon open tomorrow. Horrible experience. Use common sense guys... read more

I've been doing my oil change in this location for a year. Each time you wait about 40 minutes to an hour. The price is not transparent. They raised their price from $74.99 in March to $89.99 in May and now charge me $119 for a synthetic oil change. The lady was pretty firm on the price so I paid for the service and decided not to come here any more. My vehicle is only 30k mileage but they managed to persuade me to use full authentic oil. I was so silly to accept their advice! What's worse, on the oil change window sticker, they secretly changed from 7500 miles to 5000 miles to trick me in changing my engine oil more frequently. The first time I overlooked the mileage and changed it before my vehicle hit 7500 miles. Remember for a synthetic oil change you don't need another oil change until you drive at least 7500 miles. All they want is to make money out of you. Sounds like a scram. Holy crap! read more

Awful experience with this store and the Jiffy Lube customer service team. Brought my vehicle in for an oil change just before 3:00pm. That was literally all I wanted done. They called me back about an hour and a half later. I figured the work was done and it was time to pay...nope, they've been "inspecting" the vehicle the entire time and haven't even changed the oil yet. I agreed to two of several services offered with the understanding that the job would be finished in the next 15 minutes. I paid for the services and waited some more. At the 20 minute mark, I told them I really needed to leave, as I had been here two hours already and had another appointment elsewhere scheduled for 5:00pm. I assumed bringing the vehicle at 2:45pm would allow plenty of time for a simple oil change. They told me just a few more minutes...finally at 4:50pm, I told them to stop what they were doing because I absolutely needed to get on the road. At this point -- after they had the vehicle in their shop for over two hours -- they said, "just give us a minute, all we have to do is put the oil in the tank." Which begs the question....WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST TWO HOURS?! I told them forget the oil, just stop what you're doing and give me the keys -- I needed to be on the road ten minutes ago, I'll sort out the refund later. Ended up missing my appointment anyway. As if this wasn't enough of an inconvenience, the customer service team who "investigated" the case refused to provide any sort of reimbursement or compensation following this incident. I received the following message: "After careful consideration and reviewing this case, I'm not going to be able to provide a full refund like you are requesting. It appears that the store did the work and you acknowledged it, as well as signed for the work. I'm willing to provide a gift certificate for the bad customer service you received, but I will need a mailing address. The only last resort I have if you truly want to fight for a full refund is I could schedule you to come back to the store and have the district manager check the parts that were replaced. We order certain parts from certain manufacturers, and we have a way of seeing if it is our parts. If it is indeed our parts, then I wouldn't be able to provide the refund. If it's not, then we can speak about the full refund and the district manager will be terminating employees. It's just not our typical business practice not to do the work have the customer to pay ahead of time or in the middle of us doing the work with out their acknowledgement, and from what we've seen it doesn't appear that was done." If the customer service team had actually watched the surveillance cameras, they would have seen that I clearly paid for the services before they were completed. Interestingly, when I pressed the customer service representative to explain to me exactly what the Jiffy Lube staff was doing between 2:45pm and 4:50pm if they weren't changing the oil as requested, she was not able to provide any sort of legitimate explanation. Jiffy Lube -- rest assured this review will be posted everywhere and a complaint is being filed with the Better Business Bureau as well as the Franchise Advisory Council and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. Needless to say, I won't be returning to any Jiffy Lube location again. Customers -- go literally anywhere else for your oil changes. read more

Went here the first time and had a great experience with the guy changing my oil. Went back the next time and waited 2 hours for an oil change while being talked at by a woman I've never seen there. To top it off, the old man driving my car in and out of the shop didn't wash his hands or avoid touching things so my middle compartment and steering wheel has grease and who knows what else all over it. I will not be returning here. I have never had such a bad time trying to do literally ANYTHING for my car before. I went solely to get my oil changed, which I knew was already going to be pretty expensive for me w/ my high mileage car. The cost for the oil change itself wasn't unheard of (i think. at this point, i'm not sure what the cost of the oil change was in total, just their guesstimate at the beginning. i didn't get a receipt with a breakdown of the cost either) Unlike places I've been to in the past, they didn't talk to me about my oil options (not that it seemed i had one), which I've ALWAYS had happen, or about what they DID put in my car, so if you're not a fan of that, there's the first reason to not go here. I was scared enough when they didn't charge me for anything right away, because in the past, I've had places charge me before they even take my keys, and I prefer it that way, because I know I don't know cars very well and like to know that they're not going to use that to their advantage (which, based on other reviews, has happened at this location before). They changed my oil, good, great, but also poked around my car, changed my air filters, and then didn't tell me about it before they had already changed them out and were putting the costs of them onto my bill, and my "oil change trip" ended up costing me well over $100. The only reason it wasn't $150 is because the woman working gave me a coupon deal, but only after she had charged me for stuff I didn't ask for and I voiced concern about not being able to afford it :-) and (based on what they told me about the oil change price before they ever touched my car), it still added over $50 to my total!! So unless you're willing to fight the employees over things like that, I do not recommend. read more

I was pleased with the customer service and the speedy oil change - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes on Saturday at noon. Meanwhile, at Precision Auto Tune, the wait alone was 2 hours long. Im a 19 year old girl, college sophomore at UOFSC and I came in on a Friday morning to get my oil changed. I sat and waited for about 45 minutes to an hour just for my car to go into the shop. There was 2-3 people working and only one car in the bay. Once it seemed they started to do my oil changed I waited another 15-20 minutes before the lady came inside and told me they couldn't do my oil change as she was holding the door open for me to leave. I asked why they couldn't do it and she told me I had a ton of leaks in my oil filter, oil pan, and my transmission was leaking. I asked her what I should do and she said "find a mechanic". All while holding the door open for me to leave, speaking in a rude tone. The way she was speaking had me feeling like I shouldn't even drive my car off of their parking lot. I then went to a local mechanic and I was informed that they could change my oil, even with the small oil pan gasket leak. I will not be coming back here, they could have changed my oil. read more

My daughter is a college student in Columbia SC and took her car to get a Oil change on 8/20/21 and my husband and I picked her up for Thanksgiving break and they both were driving her car when he realized that the oil light was on. We stopped in Wilson NC to but Oil in the vehicle and the light went out but came back by the time we got to Maryland. We took the vehicle to our local AAA and was told the wrong plug was used after the change and it damaged the Oil Pan this was on 11/22/21. My husband first called the Corporate Office on 11/27/21 and was given a case number. He did not receive any updates so he called back on 12/6/21 and still was not contacted . He then called the store location and was given the District Manager's email who he emailed on 12/10/21. He was email back by the District Manager who asked for the year, make and model of the vehicle and the last 8 numbers of the Vin. That information was sent 12/13/21 and email was then received from the District Manager on 12/21/21 and he asked if the vehicle can be brought in on 1/7/22 for the Oil Pan to be changed my husband then let him know that he had emailed him the original receipt from Jiffy Lube and receipts from AAA in a previous email the District Manager apologized and stated he would submit the claims to Jiffy Lube's claim department. An email was sent 1/17/22 and on 2/12/22 but my husband did not receive any replies. A $77.00 Oil change has cost us over $1,400.00 dollars. They are terrible people because the District Managers has now stop responding. read more

I went to jiffy lube on Devine and all the staff were super nice, the manager there name is Troy and he was absolutely incredible! I got an oil change and a filler ! Before coming I was frustrated because I had just spent $178 on a new battery from auto zone bc my battery went out , they told me how they sell batteries for less ! Now I know where to come, I will always check in with jiffy lube on Devine with Troy to see if they offer services I need before going to any other car place . Also the employees didn't make me feel like they were trying to get over on me because I'm a young girl and I don't know any better about cars .. they had my best interest ! I happened to be in Columbia taking care of some business and was in need of an oil change. This station was the closest...so I took the chance. Upon driving in I was greeted by one of the techs and told where to put my car. I was then escorted in to the waiting area and offered refreshments and the restroom. I was told someone would be right with me to go over the things I needed and how much they would cost. We reviewed the recommendations and costs so I could decide whether I wanted the additional items beyond the oil change. It was recommended to change the air filter as well as the cabin filter and was shown both which were very dirty. After being a widow for 4 yrs and being the original owner of my 2011 Dodge Journey...I kept up with oil changes but have NEVER replaced the cabin filter...so that was a no brainer...especially with the crazy amounts of green pollen that we get here in SC. The oil filter was always changed but due to money issues I sometimes opted out of getting the engine air filter. After researching the importance of all three filters...I was happy with their recommendations. They vacuumed the floors..used plastic on the driver seat and checked all my fluids. They filled my washer fluid which had been empty for a week...so I know for sure it was filled. I got a $12. coupon discount along with discounts on engine and fuel additives...which I only put in because I was 3000 mi. overdue on my oil change (my bad). So...overall...as a woman on her own...I was treated fairly and with respect and I would definitely recommend this particular Jiffy Lube station. *TIP* If you are a woman alone OR a man who doesn't know about cars...do yourself a favor and research the basics... remember or make notes as to when you replaced these basic items and you can avoid being ripped off by unscrupulous service providers. When I arrived I waited approximately 5 minutes while watching one of the mechanics look at me and shake his head in irritation before approaching my vehicle and asking if I needed and oil change. On top of that, when I got home I realized my passenger side doors were filthy and covered in oil. First off, my experience here was terrible. I usually go to the Jiffy Lube on Hardscrabble, but this one was closer to my job & I made the mistake of choosing to go here instead. They performed a simple oil change. While I was there drug users from nearby were coming into the establishment speaking to me incoherently & not once did anyone tell them to leave. Less than a month later, my car breaks down because there is not a drop of oil in it. We got a professional to look at it & found the problem was because Jiffy Lube's employees over-tightened something & my gasket completely blew. After weeks of messing around, not communicating, avoiding emails & phone calls, they finally sent someone the manager of Jiffy Lube to look at my car. Considering they had their mind made up from the beginning, they strung us along for several more weeks not responding to emails or calls once again after looking at it. When they finally got back to us they gave us every excuse in the book why they would not fix my car even thought they are 100% liable. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have stepped foot in. I'm pleading with you not to give your money to anyone here, they are not willing to right their wrongs & have no problem wasting other's time & ruining their vehicle with no remorse. They broke ring on dipstick, said they could not fix it, gave me $10 off what I think was an overpriced oil change and told us to go elsewhere to get it fixed.
