Terrible service we took or Infiniti there on Augusta Rd in Columbia SC on July 5 ,2025. The Tech who changed the oil Name ERIN!!!! Did a poor job of being professional and making sure everything was working correctly. Did not put dipstick back in engine completely and did not take the time to make sure. Upon returning home to PA in Virginia we get a bad oil smell and smoke from engine most of the Oil had come out through dipstick . Thank goodness we were near and exit . I inserted the stick properly spent another almost $50 for Synthetic Oil. She promises to get back to us and issue refund but every time I've called she says she was too busy to take care of the situation. Terrible Service could've caught fire or blown an engine. WE WILL NEVER GO TO TAKE 5 again. read more

STAY FAR AWAY!!! Do NOT bring your car here (2450 Augusta Road). I brought my perfectly fine car here - other than needing the oil change here - and it was a disaster. After the oil change my check engine light and oil light came on. I took my car to Advance to get it diagnosed and got the error code. The common cause for this error code is low oil or wrong oil. Now mind you I just got an "oil change" from Take 5. I had to put 3 quarts of oil in it so that I could go back to Take 5. I was told oil was put in and there was a video showing this but I couldn't see it. I had to get my car to the dealership to have them diagnose it and work on it. I am now out of some serious money because of Take 5's "oil change". If you are looking for reliable service I strongly suggest going somewhere else. One star is too many for this place. read more

Went to take five today around 4:50 pm Est. After pulling in and speaking briefly with James he came with a total of 129$. I explained I have a military discount on file. He said he didn't see anything and needed to see id. I showed what I show every time which is my dd-214 (army separation paperwork). Since my first time going to take 5 I provided 'this document and have been issued a military discount. Previous managers have notated my file that I have military discount. James told me he would not accepted it because it had to be a id. I should him my id and the dd-214 and he said that would not work. I explained I never paid anything outside of a military id and asked for a manager. He said he was the only one there. He told me I could be a valor solider( someone lying about being in the military) which was offensive. Jame said he would honor the military discount then said he wouldn't. I explained that I have someone who witness him saying and doing all I this and not being profession. I explained that I would only pay what I paid in the past and never come back again and asked James to call a manager. When calling his manager in front of me he said, "I have this customer who is acting crazy...." I told him he hadn't seen crazy. A lady employee jumped in and asked me to calm down but said nothing to her manager James after hearing him say I'm acting crazy over the facts. Calling me crazy was inappropriate. I told her to do her work and I would calm down but him calling me crazy was disrespectful. I have a expectation nd things were not being applied. Very bad experience and it was embarrassing. This will be escalated. James should not be calling the customer crazy!!!! He doesn't know what the customer has been through. He also laughed with another coworker thinking things were funny. I explained to him it's not a joke. He should not have manager access as he doesn't not know how to handle customers. He could have handled it more professionally and not tried to handle me in a condescending way. He gave me the discount even though it wasn't the military discount I didn't continue. read more

Coming in I have a 2022 Nissan , I was greeted with " we don't work on Nissans here " i didn't take any offense to it at first. It was a little busy when I got there so I expected a little wait. They were moving at a good pace from what I was observing but service for me took over an hour. Cars that came after me were getting good fast service. These have got to be the most patient and kind men I have met in a long time. They greet us with a smile and a water bottle. There were 2 in the bay and 2 in line before me and I was still in and out in 15 minutes. One of the mechanics trucks had been caught fire just before pulling in. The remnants were there for us all to see. Thank God he was ok! They were all pushing through like soldiers to keep work smooth. I could find the lever to open my hood. The mechanic was so kind. And told me sometimes there out of place. Patiently waited while I looked. They don't try to take advantage of you. They don't do you a disservice by not checking other issues either. He showed me my air filter. Told me it wasn't bad enough to change this time but have it checked again next time. Hard working group of guys. They keep America going. read more

So I literally just left here and it was great!!!I'm used to going acrosss the street to Walmart and waiting for hours on end for a simple oil change from a passive aggressive mechanic who seems like they hate their job. These guys are completely different . I pulled up and was immediately greeted kindly and given some cold bottled water . I told them I needed an oil change and they immediately got to it and it felt like I was only there literally five minutes. They are the fastest guys I've ever seen . The whole time Hayden was telling me about my options and educating me on what would help me better in the long run since I travel long distances for work . I really appreciated that. I'm in the service and they are very military friendly and gave me a great deal for what they did. He even did a full safety check , topped off my fluids and made sure my tire pressure was good. Again all this and it still felt like 5 minutes. I will definitely be coming back . I only wish I had knew about them sooner . read more

This place charged me $160 for an oil change and windshield wiper replacement. There were THREE of them all working on my car. Why do you need THREE technicians to do one oil change? Of course, because I'm a woman, they tried to pull the "dirty cabin air filter" thing on me, except . . . I actually had replaced it the previous time I did an oil change and it was white as snow. In fact, it was cleaner than the one they were trying to sell me! But my goodness, did they commit to an Oscar-winning performance acting like that brand new air filter was filthy, even to the point of Colby exclaiming, "Can you believe you're breathing all that in?" In pulling it out, the technician rumpled the air filter out of shape, acted like it was installed that way and gave another performance over the air filter, then shoved it back in without even trying to reshape it or shake it out after putting his dirty hands all over it. Just absolute scammers and trash. I only went there because I was due to leave the next morning for a 7-hour round trip and needed an oil change immediately, and my usual mechanic doesn't work on the weekends. My husband took his Ford Expedition here before our last camping trip. It appeared that the whole operation was run by young kids. Just as he was about to leave a wiper blade rack rolled into his car and dented it. Should have been a simple fix but they don't want to use their insurance. Of course we can use ours but then we have to pay a deductible and we shouldn't have to do that when they were clearly at fault. This is dragging on for weeks now!!! They have been cordial and very nice but it seems they are hoping it will go away!!! So frustrating. Their insurance should cover the repairs and a rental car while the car is in the shop. Think twice before doing business with them!! read more

It's pricey, but how much is your time worth? I arrived at 8:00 am, was taken into the shop immediately, oil change, new wiper blades, and a cabin filter change took less than 20 mins, I was driving back towards my house at 8:20 am. I love take 5 and go here every time to get my oil changed but today I had a very upsetting experience. it's a saturday @8:30am and I wanted to come get my oil changed as soon as possible to avoid the line and today was pretty much the only day i could do it as I work full time. There was one car when I pulled in and as soon as I pulled in and parked a worker walked over to me and said "now y'all customers are making us really upset, can't even eat our breakfast or nothing." I told him I wasn't really in a rush so if he needed to eat his breakfast he could. he then proceeded to ask me if i was going off my take 5 oil change sticker..well of course I am. He then proceeded to basically tell me I was stupid and that my oil was probably still fine but he'd check anyways. He said the stickers they give are not accurate and my oil light wasn't even on so it was pointless. It was so unnecessary and left me so uncomfortable and upset. I think he sensed that I was getting upset and then he started being nice but it just left a bad taste in my mouth and I'll definitely be bringing my husband with me from now on read more

They were running a three man crew today, but no one complained and they had a system to get Cara in and out as quickly as possible. The assistant manager, Tiffany, offered a bottled water while waiting to get into the bay. They were very organized and had a system, and you could tell the employees work well together to get the job done. They were detailed, fast and friendly. read more

I made the mistake of taking my 2020 car here and the techs left the oil cap unscrewed, to which I had no idea or no way of knowing about. Fast forward and it destroyed my engine. This company refuses to take responsibility for their obvious mistake and is very difficult to get a quick response from anyone. It took over a week for someone to even go look at the car to get the claim even started. Lots of excuses. Jose (manager) stated at one point that my car should have never even had the oil changed because this place didn't even have the filters to fit my car and didn't mess with newer cars 2020 and up, so there's mistake number one. Kobe (general manager) is slow to act on what he says he'll do. He kept putting off going to see the car for a total of 5 days. Will never recommend going to this place, unless you want to have to deal with your car being destroyed. Would give negative reviews if I could. read more
