From the top they offered me a water bottle- small gesture but it goes a long way. Love that. They worked fast and efficient. The employees were very nice and communicative. The only issue- that oil change was almost $100. That's ridiculous. But it was super quick, so if you're passing by and need to get in and out- this place gets you back on the road under 20 mins. read more

I'm writing this review as I'm unable to get in touch with the business directly or anyone from corporate. I visited this location on 6/2 around 2:30 pm for an oil change. After departing i heard a loud scraping under my car, i go back to be told that the plate underneath my car wasn't properly reattached and that they'd fix it. After fixing it i asked was everything now ok because i was heading out of town after on a road trip. My tech was a little snappy in responding with i fixed it. I asked again and he responded yea they put it on wrong and i reattached it right. I leave and get halfway into my drive and it comes apart again on the highway. Now im on the side of the road left to wait for two hours for someone to get to me only to find the bolts had been stripped. I was super disappointed with not only that this happened but that i cant get anyone on the phone at store level or corporate. I'm very disappointed with my recent experience at this location Take 5. During my previous oil change, the technician forgot to put my air filter back in. I didn't find out until my next oil change at another Take 5 location, where the tech showed me the issue. Even after such a serious mistake, all they offered was a $10 discount, which I already had a coupon for--so it really wasn't any help. Leaving out an air filter can damage a car, and I expected better accountability and customer service. I hope the company provides better training and makes things right for customers when mistakes like this happen. read more

I was in a hurry and they were very accommodating during the evening and efficient. My truck had an "oil change" at another location that my husband likes.. I'm not that fond of the location and now will Never ever Trust that place!!! My truck was making a knocking sound, I wasn't having a good feeling, so I went to Take 5... the only place I Truly feel cares for its patrons!! Went here to get my inspection done, no other cars in line, employees just standing around chatting. A minute or two later employee finally walks up and asks what I needed. When I told him I needed an inspection he gave me a half-assed excuse that the ground was wet so they could not go a brake check. Seriously?! I have to say, I have never had an oil change or maintenance done here, but what I did have was my inspection done and it was fabulous. The wait time was about 5 minutes and because the wait time was so short, I didn't have time to get everything fully prepared. Right before that visit I had to get my phone replaced and was notified that my registration had expired. I. A panic I found the closest location between where I was and on the way home. With getting a new phone, I had nothing and didn't snap to that till the gentleman was ready to help me. In a panic, I'm trying to download my insurance app, connect all my credentials and try to go through my photos to see if I had a copy of my insurance anyway. Instead of him being frustrated with me for not being prepared, he said in the calmest voice. Don't worry ma'am you take your time, I will help the next customer while you work on that. I was there for at least 15 - 20 minutes and never did he rush me or make me feel like I was an inconvenience or in the way. He's attitude was what I needed to make my horrible day turn right around. Sharing the email I sent to district manager. No response, no refund, lies and terrible service! Mr Hernandez, I visited your location yesterday evening for an oil change and Immediately after the service, I notice my check engine/oil light flashed on when it's never flashed on before since I've owned my car. I notified the service staff immediately before I drove off as this was unusual and they insisted this was no problem. They called their manager and he also suggested this may be a broken sensor and I was good to drive off. I repeated, again, this was not normal and they stood firm on this not being a concern and I was good to go. Shortly after I drove away, I began to hear a knocking noise then following that noise I heard a loud popping noise with smoke. I parked my car and begin to inspect my car. I checked the oil levels and there was no oil! Since your shop was closed, I waited to this morning to call. I encouraged your manager to review the camera footage because they will see my oil was drained but no oil was replaced. He agreed to review it and call me back. He called me back and did confirm he will drive to my home to put oil in my car and he also mentioned they will take care of any damages. After he came to my home, I asked for a proper check of my engine and a diagnostic test to be completed to double check everything was in fact good. I also asked for a rental car so I could drop off my car and make it to my thanksgiving plans in dallas, he said he could not provide that today. He sent me to a mechanic that is approved by your warranty and also offered me a refund. After taking it to the mechanic, they refused to give me a printout of the service they provided on my car and encouraged me to take their word that all is good. I told them I am driving to dallas for thanksgiving and am afraid to get stranded. They said they drove it around a few times, looked at it, and said it should be good to drive to dallas. I asked why they couldn't give me a printout of these services but they can give printouts of a basic oil change? They had no response other than it's good to go and the manager, Steve, said he will send me an email confirmation that my car was good. I have not received this email. I also asked if I could take my car to my Ford dealer so that I'm comfortable things are in fact ok, they advised me not to do this as this will void the warranties on my oil change repairs. Lastly, When speaking to your store manager, he admitted the staff was not properly trained and conveyed his struggles to fix these employees issues as a new manager of the location. Why would a business knowingly allow service techs, who are not fully trained, service cars w/o supervision or proper training? This is unacceptable, extremely negligent, and could have been prevented. This has caused me to lose wages from work to handle this, be without a car to go to work this morning, compromised my thanksgiving plans with my family in dallas, and I'm stressed and fearful to drive my car comfortably. I do not accept a verbal confirmation from mechanic as a proper engine check due to the error of this service tech who did not put oil in my car. I have reached out to corporate and left a message, I also want to involve the owner of this location and file a claim with your business insurance so their claims adjusters can assist in the proper steps to handle this botched oil service. I am also considering legal advice as well. I want a proper check of my engine, along with evidence to support this procedure was done, to determine if in fact there's any damage caused due to your error. read more

James is completely unprofessional. My son got a job there, started paperwork, after being ignored for weeks. Then after the 1-9 needed to be corrected was ghosted. My son followed up 5-6x with 0 response. I took him there and they had given the job to someone else and was not going to tell him at all. They should learn to communicate this and not leave a teen wondering. He could have applied anywhere else if that was the case. Do better. read more

I visited this location in May. The technicians were pleasant and during my oil change the technician told me that my windshield wiper fluid reservoir was cracked. I had just had my car repaired after a collision so this was concerning. I took my car to the repair shop, they arranged a rental car, I took off of work, and within an hour the repair shop called to tell me that my windshield wiper fluid reservoir is not cracked and is in new condition and that I've been misinformed so I had to take off of work again to return the rental car and pick up my car, all in Houston traffic. I'd give this 0 stars if I could, I took my car to get an oil change here, they were extremely busy as one of the mechanics was late, waited almost an hour for the oil change, I've had my car for 3 years never had any issues, the day after the oil change was done my car overheated and turned off, couldn't even make it down the road without it shaking and turning off, I brought it back and they literally told me it wasn't them && that I would have to go to a mechanic to replace the water pump that transported the coolant to engine, even though my car was only moving a few miles at a time before it would over heat, they offered to get me a new dipstick since mine was broken, but refused to take any responsibility or help. read more

Had an issue at another Take 5 in Stone Oak where they forgot screw in my underbody shield on side, and it came off during my drive and ruined it completely. This location was closest to me during this accident. Drove 5mph to it and they helped me with the issue With such care and love. Thank you Team Converse for doing the extra service for me. My morning began at Take 5, and the rest of the day's agenda was set to take place at the Bexar County Tax Office, the DMV, and a detailing place..... a WHOLE DAY of car maintenance fun (not fun). First rattle out of the box, this location didn't have my filter; they had just run out, and wanted me to go get my own and bring it back. Worth noting: the car in question had been parked for a couple of years and the filter was saturated - I just came into possession of this vehicle yesterday, somewhat unexpectedly, and had to add it to my already long list of car stuff for today. This wasn't a great beginning, as I could see my well-planned, though terribly boring day, derailing at the outset. I got flustered; there's more to it, but let me just say, I'm usually a reasonable, and even kind person. On this occasion my best behavior took a back seat for a few minutes. Here's why its a 5-star review: Jesmund Byrd, the MOD, saw me through my "moment" with patience, kindness, and professionalism; talked me out of a tree; and was just so empathetic, and took the time to talk through the importance of what he was trying to accomplish FOR ME, in a caring and calm way. My "moment" passed quickly, I took the time to go get the filter, and he treated me like gold when I came back - really made me feel personally cared for, on top of taking great care of the car. This shop is my "home" shop, and they regularly do quick, professional and thorough work. Jesmund's people skills are outstanding! He is delivering a level of customer service that has almost disappeared from society, and he turned my BLAH morning into a much better one. Recently had my oil changed here the two employees that were working were extremely busy and were working as fast as possible. However the technician broke the tip of the dipstick off in the engine. I spoke with a manager whom was more than happy to help, he ordered me new a dipstick to correct the issue. However, the piece is still broke inside the oil engine and the new dipstick will not fit, which is causing the oil to leak everywhere. read more
