I had my oil changed here about a month ago, I DO NOT RECOMMEND! First, they installed windshield wipers incorrectly, it came loose while driving on I10 in heavy rain and traffic! Most importantly, they did not tighten all of the bolts on the panel underneath my car and it has been rattling for a month and I didn't know what the noise was until I took it into a dealership yesterday and they informed me it was missing bolts not just one bolt but like four!! I always use the Take 5 on FM 646. They were busy. I knew I was having to come down to FM517 so I decided to give that Take 5 a try. I pulled up and was asked what I needed? Of course an oil change at the 5-minute oil change place.the young man directs me in. There is one vehicle ahead of me. He goes into what I assume is the office. I'm guessing to finish his lunch. Because when he did return he was eating. I asked if he was by himself. He answered yes. Then I noticed another truck entering the end Bay. I'm thinking poor kid he is by himself and all bays are full. Then the truck in the far Bay kept moving forward. Halfway out of the bay, she stopped got out of her truck used the diagnostic computer, fixed her problem then drove out. I'm thinking this customer must be a regular. She then parked her truck and came into the bays. The young man asked her if she would take my vehicle. That's when I realized she worked here and was on the clock. This place has no class I brought my car for an inspection, car did not pass and I was told to bring it after I run the car for approximately 100 miles. I brought the care back the following day (more than a 100 miles after) and waited for them to perform the inspection. One of the guys told me that oil changes take preference, and that I had to wait for two customers who arrived after me because they needed oil changes. I waited, and then two more vehicles arrived and I was told I had to wait. I asked the guy to just refund and I could go somewhere else, then the owner came out and told me to get the F@ck out. They priced a little high for synthetic oil but it's worth with the new vehicles. A well oil machine will run for years to come. Worst ever! Oil change may not be bad but I NEVER asked for my air filter to be changed.. the guy jerked the air filter out did not clean the container out of dirt and didn't snap the filter back in. The ONLY reason I KNOW that?? My check engine light came on. Mass airflow came up on error message. Bought the cleaner because no part in store but ordered the part. My son cleaned the filter for me. Check engine light still on when I'm going to pick up the new part the light goes off. I called take 5 and spoke to the manager. How rude and disgusting.... It is not our fault mass air flow go out all the time.. excuse me so now that it was cleaned out and engine light went off and the fact I didn't have trouble beforehand..... yes it was your fault! I pulled into the 517 location and pulled over so I could grab my purse out of my trunk. I then pulled up and asked if I could get an inspection. A worker named Sam came up to me and accused me of parking in a handicapped spot. I literally pulled in, hopped out and hopped back in. He had a very rude tone and started arguing with me whether i parked in a handicapped spot. Isn't the whole point of this place to stay in your vehicle? I have used Take 5 several times, and always been satisfied. Today that all changed. I was lied to multiple times, as well as the manager refusing to speak with me and them refusing to provide a free vehicle inspection re-test that I believe (according to State of Texas website) they are required to provide. I had to go to another business, and pay another inspection fee. I will be looking for another business for oil changes and inspections. read more

Always get good service on the vehicles here. I would rather come here than the local places in League City. They are always thorough at checking everything other than just an oil change. Every time I come here I am greeted and asked what services I need. Last time I went in I had a bad battery. The type of battery my vehicle takes is $200. The mechanic was nice enough to suggest I call the dealer to see if its still covered under my warranty. I called and it wasn't, and it was actually $50 more expensive at the dealer and their install fees were higher as well. I went for a State Inspection today. The kid who looked to be no more than 12 was rude and refused to serve me. I have health issues and so I wear a mask. None of the technicians were wearing masks. The arrogant kid stuck his face inches from mine, demanded that I remove my mask and refused to serve me because I wouldn't take off my mask. Apparently, Take 5 doesn't care about the health and safety of their customers and will discriminate against those to try to protect their own health. I tried multiple times to call and speak to a supervisor and they wouldn't answer the phone. My calls were transferred to an answering service who called the supervisor for me and the supervisor refused to take the call. read more

Was on our way out of town and didn't have time to change the oil myself before leaving. Thought I would stop in here, get it done, and carry on with our trip. They pull the car into the shop and minutes later, the guy comes back with a finger full of grease. His finger looked like he just wiped a can of frosting clean. He claims that he found this in the intake manifold and started his sales pitch about what he suggests we do. He was rambling on about Fuel Injection cleaners, additives, and all kinds of garbage. I interrupted and told him that there was no possible way he found that much grease in my intake manifold, or anywhere else on the car. No possible way. The car only had 70,000 miles and the throttle body was shiny and clean on the inside. I know this because I previously changed the air filter a week before going there. He then starts his sales pitch about this special oil he wants to sell me for $24.99/qt, and claims he uses it in his rusted out junker that's parked on the side. I declined his "snake oil" and requested that someone else change my oil. After it was all done, my oil was 2 quarts low. They didn't even put the correct amount of oil in the car. Before you take your car anywhere for repairs, google or youtube the procedure so that you're familiar with what you're having done. Don't let crooks like this take advantage of your lack of knowledge in car service/repair. read more

Had an oil change in May at this place. They destroyed my engine right after.. they used coolant instead of oil. Multiple mechanics agreed 100% it's their fault & insurance agents agreed. Take 5 is at fault but don't agree to pay for anything. Good luck getting ahold of anyone there or at corporate. This apparently happens frequently at many locations. Very disappointed with service and will never go back. I had an oil change a few weeks ago in which I was very specific with letting them know that the tires needed air and I needed coolant since it was at the low line. When finished they informed me that everything looked fine and they topped off fluid. When I got in the car and inquired why the light for low tire still showed, they told me the tire pressure sensor had to be faulty. Fast forward two weeks. Popped the hood, coolant is now below the low line. As you can imagine I wasn't happy since they told me they tipped off the coolant, so i decided to check the tires. Guess what? Tire pressure light and/or sensor is NOT faulty. My tires were all low. They should be 32-35 psi. All of my tires were no more than 25 psi. I'm now wondering what else they didn't do. read more
