Came here to bring a fleet vehicle for my job. I waited 30 mins while I watched 4 employees crowd around watching 2 others work on one persons truck. I was asked to pull in the bay and was mostly ignored except for 1 guy offered me water after sitting 20 mins. For a place to say Take 5, it took a lot longer than that. My company relies on being able to get vehicles back out on the road quickly. So this kept me out of the office for over an hour for a 10 min oil change. UPDATE: Went out of my way to go to this location for an oil change, wiper blades, and inspection. Colby, Miles, Ian, and Brayden were all quick and efficient working as a team on my car and they made sure to be informative, respectful, and showed genuine care, while remaining professional with positive attitudes. The above and beyond customer service they provide deserves recognition! With everything being so expensive these days, they provide coupons occasionally and offer military discounts. Regardless, anywhere else is just as expensive or may charge even more unnecessarily then provide poor service or do not adequately perform the standard care as promised. My fiance has been going to this particular location off 518 in League City with his fleet vehicle for years based on the exceptional service provided every time! I now go to the same location, and have always been impressed by every employee working any day. They are genuine, responsible, reliable, and exceed the common "expectations" of customer service that is becoming rare. They deserve to be recognized and I for one am pleasantly surprised to witness their constance positivity and work ethic! read more

This place has gone totally downhill since the change in ownership a couple of years ago. First of all, they used to use Pennzoil when they changed your oil. They no longer have Pennzoil even though for a long time, they still prominently displayed Pennzoil signage. They have since taken it down and it is no longer on the front of the store. They did not bother to tell us that when we pulled in. It was only after we noticed a change in signage and asked the question that we found out they no longer use it. In addition, every since the change in ownership, they have seemed to have a lackadaisical attitude with their customer service. I can no longer recommend this place with a clear conscience. What used to be a five star review has turned into one star. Bottom line - Since a change in ownership, the service has gone downhill. They also changed their bulk motor oil that they are using for oil changes. They have lost a long-time customer. read more

At a time when corporate offices are struggling or otherwise melting down, the staff at this 5 Minute Oil Change MAKE IT HAPPEN. The calls for "in stock" Oil Filters and Oil are routed elsewhere. I called ahead to make sure the Oil and Filter I needed for my 2020 Ram 2500 Diesel were "In Stock." The remote representative missed that they were Out of Stock on the Full Synthetic Oil. The guys at the store quickly advised that for 36.99 I could supply my own Oil Filter and Oil. I ended up running over to OReilly to pick up 3 gals of Full Synthetic and a Filter. I was still in and out in 10 Mins, and saved $60. I'll be back with my wife and Kid's cars. Look for your Vehicles Oil ON SALE and save some money. I usually come here for an oil change and I always get the synthetic blend but this time they put full synthetic blend and charged me almost double than what I usually pay. I asked about the reasoning and the worked just said "that's what your car takes" I was annoyed by then and just paid the price. I wont be returning though. read more

Had oil change on my 2020 Honda CR-V. The engine undercover metal splash shield was not fastened properly. While driving on beltway to home, part of the metal splash shield tore off and scratching road with big noise. Out of immediate concern and for safety, got the metal splash shield replaced at the Honda dealer. Immediately contacted the Take5 oil shop and explained the situation. The tech seemed to agree but soon became belligerent. Refused to provide any resolution. Tried to blame me for not contacting before. Safety is priority and I need to get the problem fixed. Trying to get a state inspection. Employees are literally standing around in the pit not doing anything and goofing off. Myself and four others are in line waiting for an inspection. Service has declined every year I've been here since it was a locally owned Kwik Care franchise. There is a much more responsive and brand new Firestone across the street. That is where I plan to go in the future. Sad to see a business decline so much. read more

This review is way long overdue. I live in Austin, from League City. I got my oil changed in Austin then immediately drove to League City. Upon turning on 518, my car smelled terrible and my oil change light went on. Confused, I pulled immediately into Kwik Kar. They took a look and found the previous company left my oil cap off, so everything spilled and left me with little oil. Probably saved me from having to buy a new car. They came to the rescue, talked me through exactly what I should say to the previously company, put oil in my car for free and sent me on my way. Grateful for them helping me out not only by giving my car oil, but for sitting by me while I was on the phone with the other company offering advice. read more

Took my company truck in to have the oil change. We have a fleet service account. I drop the truck off and asked if they could rotate the tires and vacuum the floor They told me they did not rotate tires. When I returned. I was handed a bill and was told that their airline was broken and could not rotate the tires. They said they would call me when it was fixed and I could bring it back. But they did mention that they did already billed the fleet service. When I got in my truck I noticed the floor had not been vacuumed and the change oil notice was still on at that point I had already driven away. I called and spoke to the manager, he told me that the next time I came in with my personal car and he would give me a free oil change. After trying to reset the change oil notice. I noticed the tires had not been inflated to the correct pressure and the wipers had not been changed as they said they were. Also the windshield wiper reservoir was not refill. At this point I'm wondering if they actually changed the oil. I will not be going back. Well 4 months later still no call to say bring it back to have tires rotated. I have been taking my car to this place for years and absolutely loved it. I took the car i had before this one there. I have been going since it opened. Now the bad news. I took my car in for an oild change on Monday, April 24, 2017. Today is Wednesday April 26,2017 and my car turned off on 518 at a red light saying "Low Oil Pressure." I restarted it and took my son to basketball practice in Dickinson. I checked the oil cap while i was there thinking maybe it was just loose. It was on tight. Checked my oil, COMPLETELY EMPTY. Just reading the very end of the dipstick. I called and they were closed. Got someone to bring me some oil. Put it in. Thank God for synthetic oil, i think that is the only thing that saved my engine. PLEASE CHECK YOUR OIL AFTER OIL CHANGES HERE. Did this place change ownership because all of a sudden they're doing horribly and that's putting it nicely. My husband went there last month for an oil change to his Volkswagen and ended up at the Volkswagen dealership because they didn't put the skid plate back on completely; missing screws. I took mine today to get an inspection and the @&$!$&@& turned my lights to manual. And of course since it was daylight and my garage door is bright white in the sunlight when getting home I didn't even notice they were on. I got up to walk in the other room when I noticed a dim orange light outside. I wondered why it was on and sure enough my car is DEAD!!!!! I will NEVER go back to that place!!!! Went to the Kwik Kar in League City today and ask if their dyno is working to get my truck inspected and the guy working said no it's not. I ask if the Kwik Kar on Bay area has a working dyno and he said he did not know. I ask if he would call them and find out before I drove all the way over there and he told me to google the number and call them my self. If I treated my customers like this at my job I would be fired and rightly so. Strike 3 Kwik Kar. Will never go there again and will pass my experience on to all of my friends. I have been going here to get my oil changed for about 4 years. I always get a BASIC oil and filter change. I am a young girl and I have never felt uncomfortable going alone because they always took care of me and didn't try to push any extra charges on me. Well today I went and it was the first time I experienced the new staff and management. I asked for the same thing I always get a BASIC OIL CHANGE. I said just change my oil and my oil filter no other fluids! They gave me a full service oil change. I had my dad call and ask why they did that when I've never asked for that before. The man said "they don't do basic oil changes anymore" absolute BS. I will be finding a new place. read more
