I've been a customer at this take five since the day they opened. Up until this point, I was satisfied with the service provided. However, on this last repair I noticed that they didn't secure my skip plate and it got damage as I drive down the highway. I returned to them and was meet with the real take five. The service, friendliness and professionalism that I thought I'd seen for several years.... Was gone! It's been weeks since I brought this to their attention and as of yet I don't have the replace part promised. They keep promising me the tracking number for the part. But nothing!! I am so angry I could spit nails. I pull up to this shit-hole of a business at 5:15 pm. While there's three people working two bays (one bay isn't open), NO ONE......and I mean NO ONE acknowledges me (inquires what I need, say we will be with you as soon as possible, etc.). Ok, you are busy I get it......let's move forward to 5:41 pm, a car pulls up behind me then three minutes later (while I'm still sitting in the same spot), another car pulls up (behind the car after me). All of a sudden more employees "magically" appear in the bays and this lying half-wit (I will explain why I call him a liar) directs the car behind (having waited only three minutes) to the bay that is about to become available. I watch in complete disbelief. When I rolled down my window to say something about this foolishness "Mister Liar" say "oh, I will move her and put you first". No he wasn't....not until I spoke up. The customer was already moving into the bay and there was no way for the "move in line up". I was sooooooooo angry I just drove off. I called back to this establishments, identified myself as the person who just dealt with this craziness and asked for the name of the Manager. Yep, the same "poor management handler" is the Manager. I could not believe he again tells me the lie about what his intentions were. I was so angry and told him we both know he"s lying. It seems like common sense would have a Manager of a business to at least: 1. Respectfully acknowledgment paying customers 2. Have a system of "next in line" if customers have waited for service 3. DON'T patronize accustomed with a lie I went to the Take5 location on Thornton Rd after leaving this crap space (only because I wanted to see if this is a corporate standard) and as soon as I pulled into the business I was greeted by a smiling Associate who 1. Directed me to the bay, 2. asked how he could assist and 3. offered water and a small snack while I waited. I was so grateful and explained (in colorful language and full details) of the idiotic experience I just had at the Hwy 5 location. He apologized on behalf of Take5 franchise and the staff proceeded to help me. While it wasn't anyone at Thornton Rd location's fault, I appreciated the apology. The staff at the Thornton Rd Take5 (Christian, Will, and the other Associates) are examples of proper management, good customer service, and interested employees. Hwy 5 Take 5..... I will NEVER cross your threshold again and I encourage you to take a page out of the Thornton Rd customer care handbook. read more

If i could give them negative stars I would!!!!! Take5 on Hwy 5 is a joke! I went to have my oil changed this afternoon, I was next in line when I pulled in. They come and ask me what I'm there for and if I want a water. After an HOUR of waiting and watching them flirt relentlessly with the lady in front of me, I finally get in the bay. They scan my VIN and say sorry we don't have the filter. I said you mean to tell me you had me sit out there for an hour and you never ran the license plate or make and model to see if you had the filter!?!?! You've done that every other time I've been here!?!?! He said no but we can check your tire pressures so it's not a waste of your time. Are you serious!?!?!? No I need my oil changed not my tires checked. I'm not mad you didn't have the part genius, I'm mad you wasted my time by not checking to see if you had the parts when I got there. So I leave more than mad and go to Express Oil Change on Douglas Blvd. I pull in and before I get the chance to even tell the guy anything about my previous experience he said ma'am we may not have your filter if you're getting an oil change. I said yes I am. He checked, they don't have the one I need. I then tell him what happened at Take5 and he said, if you go to the parts store and grab your filter, I will make sure you are taken care of and he did. I went to take five on Hwy 5 at exactly 7 o'clock and they were ready! I was greeted with a smile, and with great service. I was over my mileage by a lot, and the guy that serviced the car took the time to explain why I shouldn't wait so long. My time is valuable just because I was going before work and they did it within a matter of 20 minutes also changing my back windshield wiper, Greg and Salvador service my car and it felt like butter driving away. read more

Got home, oil dripping in driveway from my Tacoma. Take it back, a 20 minute drive, they say that it is oil that poured out from the filter (the filter is at top of engine with a very convenient hole to catch oil in cup). They just didn't use a cup and chose not to clean up the mess on the engine. I take good care of all my vehicles, I used to do all my service until heart bypass and cancer surgery limited me, and would never let a car go out with the engine covered in oil. They ended up giving me rags and I got under the car, with my poorly able body, and cleaned it. I guess they thought too bad, so sad, tough luck. No interest in doing a good job. This company will never touch any of my vehicles ever again. $90 and couldn't wipe off oil.....wow. read more

Took my car to get a standard oil change at this Take 5 location. The very next day my skid plate began scraping the road as I was on the way home. I know it was not anything that I'd done because I did not hit any bumps or low areas. I'm not too familiar with cars, but looked up how an oil change is done on my car and saw that the skid plate has to be removed. I'm certain that the young men who did my service did not securely fasten the plate after the service and now I have to go to an auto shop to get this fixed. I'm new to this area and brought my car here for a service because my manufacturing dealer is not in the DV area. Needless to say, after this I will drive the 35+ minutes to get ALL services, even something as simple as an oil change done on my car. If you decide to go here, before you leave the parking lot please make sure all parts of your vehicle (especially the skid plate) are in tact!! read more

After driving home from a $90 premium synthetic oil change I smelled burnt oil, looking under the hood and under the car there was oil all about. The oil was all around the oil pan and filter and had worked it's way to the exhaust, the smell was from oil burning on the exhaust. This is how cars catch on fire!!! While on a 3 hour road trip, half of my car's skid plate started dragging on the highway. In a bind, rolled up to Take 5 about 5 mins before they closed. Greeted with big smiles, and four mechanics ready to help. They fixed it up in less than 5 mins and sent us on our way. Awesome service! I wanted to let you know I have read the reviews and I did notice the inconsistencies. I took two cars at different times of day. The first experience 9:30am was great. Excellent customer service. Offered each customer a bottle of water which was in hand ready for the yes. When I got in the bay explained the difference in oil prices, let me know about the cabin filter and the engine filter. The customer service is was impecable in the morning. 2nd car 1:30pm. The experience was totally different. At this point they are packed lines are deep. It was like herding cattle get us in and get us out. The service was not as attentive to the customer you are helping, they were attentive to everything happing about them. I find it odd that there were so many workers just standing around talking. Maybe it was the changing of the guard?? Bottom line the customer service changed from attentive to the customer in front of you in the morning to late afternoon where once in the bay was get the job dob done and get them out...I left there at around 3pm. My son in-law usually does the oil changes for my daughter and I but he's been really busy so this was my first time using you guys here in GA. read more

I had an oil change oct 9th at hwy5 location GA. The employees that worked on my car forgot to attach the skid plates back on. It fell off on the fwy. They attached it with zip ties. The district manager called me the following week. He said someone would take care of it and call us. We waited 3 weeks until I contacted him. He was shock no one ordered the parts or fixed it. Its been 1 month and 1 week and the skid plate fell off again on the fwy with my 8 yr old. This could've caused a fire with the metal plate. This should've been fixed right away and not with zip ties. My husband is contemplating on getting a lawyer now that our child's safety is involved and since the manager suggested we just take it off since it's just a "splash guard." He also said the part is in back order, yet we called the nearest honda to see if they had any in stock and they do. They still haven't replaced it yet. And it's now nov 19th. Corporate hasn't done anything. This is the first oil change I've ever had that this has happened. If they only did their jobs properly and did a safety check, this would've been avoided.if dont plan on having your car on fire or on being in an accident, I suggest not to go here. read more

Cannot stand the unprofessionalism from this place. Completely forgot to attach my skid plate back and then back peddled when I asked why the zip tied out instead of putting the bolts back on. Skid plate fell off on interstate. Could have damaged my car or flown into another car. I had to take it to Ford and have them replace it. Owner did not want to take responsibility for it. I recently visited Take5 and had my radiator flushed for approximately $80. However a day later I began getting "Engine Coolant Hot" messages on my dash. This was happening on mile 3 of my 6 mile commute to work at ten at night, mind you! I checked the under the hood and found that there was almost no fluid in the reservoir! Watch out! This place is a joke. I took my car (2012 Audi A7) there this past Monday for an oil change. Keep in mind that my last oil change was with them, at this same location. The workers were unable to get the skid plate screws off of my car. They told me that the screws were stripped. I told them if they were stripped it was because of them, since they were the last auto service company to worked on my car. The worker didn't believe me and had someone to check the Carfax to see if it was true. Once I was proven correct, they then argued that I must have let someone else change my oil who stripped the screws. I was told since they couldn't remove the skid plate they couldn't change the oil. I left feeling insulted and very angry. I took my car to my mechanic who said the reason they couldn't get the skid plate off was because they didn't have the right tool. What a JOKE! The employees were polite and very funny, and they did not pressure me into buying anything I did not need. As a military veteran, I received a 25% discount. After the oil change was completed, Shane reset my "Oil Service Due" indicator gauge in a matter of seconds. My 2019 Hyundai Tucson engine died 20 minutes after leaving the Take 5 on Hwy 5. My vehicle only had approx 69,000 miles. Take 5 has taken no responsibility for their errors. Waited for 45 mins in line on a Weds morning. Then it took another 20 mins for the actual oil change. This was second time using the Hwy 5 location. First time I was given my military discount no issue. Second time they refused to give it to me as I didn't have my ID with me. When I asked, "don't you have it on file?" They said yes, but we have to have the ID. Then they charged $75 for an oil change!!! I have a 2019 nissan rogue sport. 4 quarts of synthetic oil only cost $25. Even with time and labor... that's a rip off!! Me and my household will never use again. read more

Today was the worst experience I've ever had at an oil change shop. We waited more than an hour before brought into the bay, 3rd car in line. There seemed to be plenty of workers since we observed two young men walking around with their hands in their pockets and dancing around while others were eating chips. Once in the bay they drained the the oil from the engine before checking to see if they had the correct oil used in our car so they tried to substitute a different brand and weight. I told them no so they used the next higher grade and charged me for it. They had the opportunity to salvage the visit from a repeat customer but they did not. After adding the new oil the tech pulled the funnel from the fill port and oil ran out on the engine and front fender. After closing the hood and as I was getting ready to pull out they then asked if I wanted my windshield cleaned. There appears to be a lack of leadership and training.
