This is the location here off Atlanta Highway in Loganville. Normally I come here when I can't get in for an appointment with my Ford dealership. Tonight was the worse experience I've ever had with an oil change service center. It started immediately after I pulled in and one of the unprofessional, ignorant, older guy attitude and energy was off from the start by the name of Tommy. Came in for a full synthetic oil change as usual, called before I came to get the cost for the service and the cost for the extra quart because my vehicle requires 6qts and their price only includes 5. So upon arriving I already knew what to expect as far as pricing so I mentioned this to the unprofessional,rude, service worker Tommy from the start, and he immediately had a sarcastic, think he knows it all response, stating to the professional guy that was there that he thinks my SUV actually takes 7 qts immediately sparking a feeling that he was trying to get extra dollars, because I know what my vehicle requires and I've been there before several times and he could've just checked the system to verify that it takes 6 qts like I stated but he's one of those service workers the thinks he knows it all and has no professionalism, and feels he owns the place just because he has a position. Upon the professional guy there checking the system and seeing that it did take 6 qts you could instantly see that in for rubbed him the wrong way, hurting his ego so he responded oh lol. As he performed (unprofessional Tommy)the oil changing process, which took way longer than 5 minutes might I add at the take 5 oil change center, the professional guy walked up to show me that my carbon air filter needed to be replaced and ask if I wanted to buy the filter to do so, I asked the price and he stated he could give it for a price of 17 so I said yes, now after slow oil changing Tommy finally finished what was suppose to be a 5 minute oil change more like 20 he comes to the computer typed in some things and walked over with a total for service that was definitely over priced, mind you I already knew the price for the oil change including the extra quart plus adding the 17 additional for the filter and adding the taxes so I asked how did he come up with that total for service, he proceeded to stutter instant red flag and stated the prices for each thing which where all higher than it was supposed to be. So I stated there is no way that the total was suppose to be that much and I feel he was over charging but I would let him have those extra dollars that he added into the total if he needed them that much, his attitude instantly became even more unprofessional than it already was, showing me that he was guilty of price gouging. This is why I only like to come there when the females are doing the service because it's more honest from my experience. So Tommy the unprofessional continued to try and argue with the customer back and forth about the inaccurate price and his disrespect escalated and I'm not the woman that lets a weak so called man speak to me in anyway so I let him know I'm the customer and he was unprofessional and rude from the beginning and now he's out of line and it won't be tolerated. Upon letting him know I'm not the one this ignorant, unprofessional, insecure, little man threatened to call the police on me because I called him out for overcharging me for a service this was diabolical, he couldn't handle the truth and threatened to call a police too funny. Went there for the first time today just for a simple oil change ($51.99) as I was sitting in my car it started ticking they told me to turn my car on and it wouldn't start ( never done that before) they told me it was my battery because I left my headlights on ( my headlights turn off atomically) they charged it and sent me on my way tryed to turn on my heat it stopped working it just blows cold air and ticks (never had an issue before) how did a simple oil change cause all of these problems?... read more

We got right in, but 35 minutes later they got to our car. We made it out in 50 minutes and it was $95 plus a $5 shop fee or something ridiculous. I have been there twice with 2 different vehicles they were out of oil both times. They brought me into the bay and had me turn the truck off. It felt like 100 degrees. After waiting a hour to watch molasses crawl they finally brought me up to let me know they didn't have my oil. Only 2 people working. And didn't even close my hood. I went to go my oil and filter and came back. I asked if I had to wait in line again. He said yes I do. I said no I don't. Went up the street to Valvoline and they took me right in. I literally pulled into business and as I do there is an employee in their car so I continue pulling to the back and drive up to garage entrance, I sat there for at least 10 min and no one came to greet me , so I step out of vehicle and walk through the garage entrance and proceed to front of business where I seen the employee sitting and he was still there hadn't moved since I saw him first and I asked were they open and he replies yes and go get back in your car and we will be with you , now keep in mind this employee had not even looked up at me to acknowledge my presence and he is still comfortable sitting in his car so I did as he asked got back in my vehicle and exited this waste of a time business. This is a terrible place to go for any type of service on your vehicle. I have never been to a establishment where they did not greet the custard apologize for inconvenience or long wait but this guy is the last guy I would want doing service on my vehicle because he proved to me he didn't care about the business or my concerns as a customer. I drove down from Athens to the Loganville location of Take 5 to try it out because we are getting a new location soon. After about a 20 minute wait Malik did a good job on my car and did not mind repeating himself due to my hearing issues in the loud environment. He also scanned my discount code right from my phone. I was warning a friend who just moved to the area about taking their car to this place for an oil change when I realized that I never left a review! This happened in March of 2019. Before moving to Loganville, I was taking my car to the dealership for regular oil changes. Take 5 was more convenient for me out here and I could stay in the car. Great! I wouldn't have to drive 35+ minutes to wait around for an oil change! I took it there 2-3 times in a row. Big mistake. I was in Snellville one morning and it occurred to me that I was due for an oil change in a few days. Since I had the time, I took it to a place my husband had visited there (full service, leaving them a good review shortly) and they politely refused servicing my vehicle as the drain plug had been stripped and they didn't want to be held liable for the damage. The only place I had been for the past 3 or so oil changes was Take 5. My husband had called the store to speak with someone about the drain plug and was basically jerked around until someone finally took his number and said that the manager would contact him the following day. They spoke the next morning and the manager told him that it wasn't their fault and they "don't change oil that way." He said they "suck it out" and don't even touch the drain plug. I went back and reviewed my previous receipt from December and they had indicated that they checked the plug, marked it OK, and applied a tamper seal. Additionally, they did "suck it out" the last time in December (because the drain plug was stripped, I'm assuming) but the previous change (September) was done the traditional way. I called and spoke with Matthew (the manager) myself upon finding the receipt. As soon as I introduced myself, his tone changed. I told him that I had my receipt and it says that the drain plug was inspected and a tamper seal applied. Before I could even get that out, he's already speaking over me saying, "YUP. I have a copy in front of me, too." He claimed that marking the "drain plug OK" only means that they saw that it's there. As for the tamper seal he doesn't know about that and would have to look into it. I pointed out that it was #4 on the list where he just pointed out #17 to me several times over. He went on to list all of the makes of vehicles that get the suck-out treatment. We went back and forth for quite a while, he said he'd only consider taking responsibility if we returned it to him for an inspection. I told him I already had a dealer appointment scheduled later that day due to the lack of concern expressed by the staff regarding our initial calls, and he's welcome to meet me there at 5. He replied, "if that's what I need to do." Needless to say, he didn't show up. I told him that I'd be contacting corporate, to which he responded, "good! I already have!" He kept pointing out the "extraction" on line #17 as if changes the fact that they inspected the drain plug, marked it OK, and went on to apply a tamper seal. We obviously never got anywhere with local management, who proudly states "I'm an ASE 27-year Master Mechanic," as if that makes this ok. My husband had a difficult time dealing with staff and management, which is really disappointing because all of our prior experiences with them at the facility had been pleasant, while at times staff was a little bloodshot and suspicious - they were always friendly. Not judging - I usually went in on Sunday mornings. I get it. But we obviously won't be returning for future changes after this or any other Take 5 (Corp never responded to my email.) And I'd advise everyone else to avoid them as well! It's worth your time to take it to your dealership or another full-service facility where they take care and do things the right way! read more

I have a fleet account Nd bring all 6 vehicles for every service including wipers, oil changes and air filters. After dealing with Norman the store manager I will not be back!! Purchased wipers 5 months ago and supposedly they come with a 6 month warranty. He touched 1 corner of 1 of the blades and even though they are leaving lines everytime I use them he says they will not warranty them. The worst part is he wouldn't even speak to me he pawned it off on the helper and wouldn't help at all he just Went into his office and wouldn't even speak to me when I had a question. This will be the very last time I ever do service at this location! Nick, the "manager" was extremely disrespectful, tried to call me a liar, and carried himself very unprofessionally. I took all 3 of my vehicles here before Covid hit. I was pleased with the service and techs. I would have given them a 5-star rating. After Covid, I returned to get the oil change on 1 of my cars. The first time I arrived was on a Monday afternoon. All 3 bays were full. I was instructed to pull in behind the car in the middle bay and pop my hood. After waiting 20 minutes and watching the techs, I decided to just return on another day. I returned yesterday, 5/26/21 and it looked like a totally different crew. I, again, was told to come to the middle bay. There already was a van inside the bay. I was told to pop my hood. This time, I only waited about 15 min. until the van pulled out. The techs immediately started on my car. They seemed to do a good job until I got home and reviewed the receipt. I noticed the following: oil filter replaced (not that I am aware of); plug gasket replaced (?) air filter clean (didn't show me) cabin filter n/a (checked it before, why not this time?) Windshield cleaned (nope), and tires checked (not that I saw) and they charged me for an additional quart without telling me. I wouldn't mind if I'd just been made aware it needed 6 quarts instead of just 5. Also, in reviewing my bill, I don't understand how it came out to the total amount of $63.45. I raved about the great service I received back on 10/20/20, but I'm having second thoughts about EVER returning to this place again. read more

August 8th I brought my 2002 BMW 325 i convertible in for an oil change. The car was shaking back and forth as the service man tried to take out the plug. After about an hour and a half looking at the "10 minute oil change" sign the service man finally told me they had a problem. He had broken the plug and they were trying to figure out how to get it out. A while later I called out that I wanted to speak to the manager, and another worker yelled out, "We don't have one." They called the manager, who came in and tried to get the plug out, again the car shaking back and forth. They finally let me talk to the owner, who told me he would have it moved to a repair shop, but that would not be until Monday, this was a Saturday. I told him they would not touch my car again. They agreed to leave it in the bay until Monday. So on Sunday the 9th I went by and saw they had moved it out of the bay into the parking lot, not the most secure place. One of the workers shook his head and said they should not have let that inexperienced guy work on the car, that the oil pan is aluminum, but the guy treated it like he was working on a Ford. Another worker said they should not have used that particular bay. They did pay to have it moved to Black Forest in Snellville, and the owner eventually agreed to offer me a part of the repair cost; but I told him the only deal I would make would be to have them reimburse me the full cost. The owner of Black Forest told me there was a crack in the oil pan starting at the plug hole that could not be repaired, that he'd have to replace the pan. I have never had a spot of oil in my garage, so the tugging must have caused the crack. Cost of repairs: $1,654.44. You've been warned. read more

i have always changed my own motor oil but i took my wife's van to take 5 oil change & the guy's jumped right on it & not only changed the oil & filter they topped off all fluids lubed the chassis checked the air pressure & washed the windshield twice! for the price they charged i will go there again. great job guy's read more
