This location is a liability nightmare. I brought my car to Take 5 for a basic oil change and left with a destroyed engine due to their negligence. After charging nearly $400 for unnecessary add‑ons, the low oil pressure light came on within minutes. They performed a second oil change, and the car failed again--this time in traffic on a busy highway where people are getting off of work and trying to get home. My vehicle sensor started I had no oil pressure, knocking loudly, and refusing to shift. Ford's diagnostic confirmed the cause: no oil in the engine block, metal contamination, and a fully locked engine. In other words, Take 5 failed to perform the most fundamental part of their job. Instead of taking responsibility, the store pushed me into a claims process and third‑party assessment while I'm left without a vehicle, transportation, or the ability to work. This was not an "honest mistake." This was gross incompetence that resulted in thousands of dollars in damage and a complete loss of livelihood. I'm a Big Big fan of Take 5 Oil Change and Valvoline, hopping between the two of them whichever city I end up in that I need an oil change. This was the only Take 5 Oil Change listed in town and it showed. By the time we had been helped there were 5 additional guests behind us waiting their turn. Overall, the service was wonderful. I want it to be clear, that any negative connotation from this review is not toward the workers that were there. They did a professional, courteous, and when they finally got to me, efficient and quick oil change. My only negative is directly for who manages the schedule. I waited an hour behind one car before they even started my change. It wasn't because the workers were not working, but solely on the fact that they were understaffed. The three workers running the garage never stopped working. They were cranking out cars as efficiently as they could. But because there was only three people there, they could not handle the amount of cars lining up. They had to hop on one, advance the line for that stall, jump to the next, take care of them, advance the line, then hit the third. It was non stop for them. If there were two or three more workers there, the wait would not have taken so long. Even with their non stop customers lining up, they didn't falter or sacrifice their work. They stayed professional, they stayed motivated, and they did it well. I can change my own oil, but it is the convenience of pulling up, staying in a car, and getting out quickly that makes the price worth it. With an hour wait, not so much. But any manager or owner reading this, hire more excellent people like the ones that were there when I went through. read more

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable-ish. Have been getting my oil changed here for the past two years for convenience & their touch up/tire pressure check, etc that they do between visits. They said I had a crack in my coolant holder (?) and couldn't change or check due to it. Advised me it was bad and not to take my truck on a road trip I was going on (hence, checking fluids, etc) and to take to my regular mechanic to get fixed asap. Brought to my mechanic and he advised me there's no leak in the coolant holder, drive as fast/far/etc. as I want because there's nothing wrong with it. ‍ which I was grateful for! I recently had a bad experience at the take 5 on 9th Avenue and Creighton. I got a oil change from them. I was told by a Walmart associate that a plug was not put back on which later caused a major oil leak after that. I was told to take it back to take 5 to be only told conflicting stories by different associates as well as the manager who initially changed my oil. I asked to have this corrected and the manager said he didn't have the proper tools. I have contacted customer service cooperate office several times. It was almost 20 minutes before they even started my "5 minute oil change". I'm not someone who believed it would be 5 minutes, but I didn't think it'd take 20 to actually start. After the initial acknowledgment of waiting and being given a bottle of water I didn't have anymore interaction until my vehicle (still running) was finally tended too. There was a new guy and I guess he was still learning tools or whatever and the supervisor, I'm assuming it was his position; was very insulting to the young guy. I told the tech my name was Jeremy and I spelled my last name for him. He completely misspelled my entire name. I honestly don't know who's name is on this receipt. Next issue is that of windshield wiper fluid and oil light. As you can see on the receipt, it states that the glutes was checked and filled (lie) it's completely empty! Then the oil light (was on before I arrived , but went off prior to service) he asked me if there was a oil light that needed to be reset? I said no. The receipt was printed before he asked me about the oil light, which also states at the bottom that it was reset, when it wasn't! This makes me wonder if I should check my oil level just in case. Cause it seems to me that they say they done things that they actually haven't done. A shop full of mechanics with no integrity doesn't make me want to recommend or even go back. read more

Now as I'm trying to get an oil change by them at another location, they are telling me they can't do it because my oil drainage plug is still double threaded. Went to Take5 to get my oil changed and as soon as I started to pull out my oil light came on and my car alert started dinging. The technician said to pull around and come back in. I had a friend with me and he got my owner's manual out and started looking for the problem as the technician checked everything out. It said my vehicle could only have 10w-30 synthetic blend or all synthetic oil in it. So I looked at the little receipt they gave me and it just had the price of the oil change. I questioned the receipt at that time because it just looked like a cash register receipt and didn't say anything about what they did, the oil they put in etc. So I questioned if they put the correct oil in my vehicle and was told "I think so, well yeah I'm pretty sure I did use the 10w-30." I whispered to my friend think so and pretty sure wasn't I know what I put in your vehicle. The technician said maybe I needed to drive it a bit and it would go off. I drove it maybe 1-2 miles and every time I came to a stop the brake light and vehicle alert alarm came on so I immediately turned around and went back. The technician couldn't find anything wrong but my owners manual said do not drive the vehicle if the light was coming on. The technician said it was fine to drive my vehicle home they couldn't do anything more to fix it. I would have to take it somewhere else. Since Take5 said it was ok to drive my vehicle home and they gave me they gave me Correy Graddys business cars incase my vehicle broke down on the way home I had no choice but to drive on home. The technician said if my vehicle broke down on the way home Mr Graddy would come help me get it running again was the exact words. As soon as I got home I made an appointment with the Buick GMC dealership if Pensacloa the next day. The dealership was kind enough to work through one problem at a time trying to figure out what exactly was wrong and not just go in and start fixing a bunch of things in order to try to save me money. They were very sympathetic to my situation. They kept me informed each step through their process of fixing the problem. First they noticed the oil filter was damaged and twisted some so they came and told me they were replacing that first and hopefully that would fix the problem, but due to the damaged oil filter part of the filter might have gone down through the oil system. Filter was changed and still having the same problem. So they said they wanted to check the sensor next. They found parts of the oil filter wrapped around the sensor so they replaced that but still the vehicle was having the same issue and finally said the check pressure valve to be broken and that part has to be ordered. They documented everything and actually gave me a printed receipt showing what they did and what they found along with the oil filter to take back to take5 which I did as soon as I left the dealership. I talked with Mr Graddy and he scanned my receipt and took pictures of my oil filter. He told me that it usually doesn't take long at all to resolve these issues and it was costly but mistakes are made and apologized and would be in touch with me later that day 7/28/22. I never heard back from Mr Graddy and called him this morning. He said they would not be able to reimburse me because I took my vehicle to another mechanic and not back to them. So my response was the technician told me they couldn't do anything else to fix the problem, they didn't even have the equipment to diagnose anything. Mr Graddy said he understood and needed to call the district manager back. Mr Graddy called me right back and again said he was unable to reimburse me because on the back of my receipt it said Take5 would have had to have towed my vehicle into the mechanic. So then I said there was nothing on the back of my receipt. He then said it's specifically printed on the back of the receipt. I explained my receipt looks only like a cash register receipt and I never received any other receipt. He then informed me that one should have been emailed. I immediately looked and told him I only had a survey from them and if I was being emailed another receipt why wasn't I told at the time when I was questioning the receipt because it didn't tell me what oil they put in. He had no answer. He just said the district manager wasn't going to reimburse me. Then gave me a number he said was to the corporate office. I called it and it was just customer service and I just got a recording saying please leave a message with your name and phone number. I called Mr Graddy back and asked for the district mangers number and he wouldn't give it to me, then I asked if he could ask for the district manager to call me. I haven't received any calls from the district manager or customer service. I'll attach a copy of the only receipt I have from Take5 and the dealership. read more

First time I went it was awesome, just like they advertised, in and out in no time, they killed with service and were very informative about everything they did. Second time I had to wait in line for 10 minutes until they opened another service bay and once in I had to wait another 10 minutes before a tech even spoke to me. They started the oil change then left for 5 minutes, came back and finished but left the hood up for a few minutes more, finally a guy took my credit card but disappeared for 5 minutes before bringing it back with my receipt. They were not especially busy, just not really concerned about doing their jobs efficiently or quickly. They did not check my wipers or air filters. They did check my tire pressure but did not tell me if they were ok or needed air or what, they just left. I will NOT be back. I don't know what happened to these guys between visits but my second time was definitely my last. Too bad. It's a great concept but it needs dedicated techs to make it work. read more

My oil change was $133.24. The technician charged my card $1332.24. It took me over two weeks to get my money back. Corporate has yet to return ANY of my calls. I had to get my bank involved to get this resolved. I have recieved no compensation, not even an apology from Corporate! If this is how your customer service is I will do everything in my power to make sure EVERYONE knows how it is. There was no excuse for their behavior on this matter. WORST OIL CHANGE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE 05 June 2019 - Brought in my Prius to get a synthetic oil change. They forgot to reinstall the bottom plastic mud cover (Prius owners know what I'm talking about) so I had to drive back to have them install it. A week later I started to notice a huge puddle of oil on my driveway from leaving oil so I took my vehicle back to have them fix the problem. They told me there wasn't one and simply topped my vehicle off with a random jug of oil (I'm guessing it wasn't even synthetic). 23 July 2019 - second time going in for leaking oil. Turns out a gasket was never installed, which was the cause for all the leaking oil. They reinstalled the plug with a gasket and topped it off with oil. They also forgot to close the bottom plastic panel AGAIN, so it was dragged around for miles. TLDR - incompetent employees that do half ass work and create more problems for your vehicle after their services I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. This place needs to be shut down for their criminal business practices. Their prices are also the highest in the Pensacola area. read more

I go to thisTake 5 because my local mechanic says to go here. But, today broke that for me, spent over 1.5 hrs there waiting to get seen. Then to watch 5 other cars get through, 3 of which showed up after me. finally get pulled in to for them to tell me the last time I was here one of them must have stripped my bolt for the filter and I'm going to have to come back another day to get it done, I had to ask for my day off 3 months ago. I ask for a day off 1 a quarter or every 3 months to get things done and now I'm screwed because I have to figure out how to bring my car in again to probably wait another 1.5 to get anything done. I'm leaving a 1 star review, if I have to pay full price I won't ever come back to this company after today, I'd rather wait the 2-3 hrs for my mechanic to do the oil change. Depending on how this goes it could change but we'll just wait and see if I can even get one done now. read more

However, my third oil change with them they did not reinstall my skid plate properly and damaged my car and did not reinstall half the bolts to ensure it was in correctly. I received superior service by the workers at this take five oil change who went above and beyond to assist me when my car suddenly did not start during my oil change. The technician did everything in his power to try and jump my battery by testing various jumper cables and even utilizing his own car. When it was apparent the battery wasn't an issue he pushed my car to the parking lot and then continued to help at the end of his shift. In the end he was successful in getting my car to start (as it turned out not to be a battery issue after all), and I was able to call off the tow truck, thus saving me time and money. I am incredibly grateful to this take five technician and I would highly recommend using this location for their compassion, quality of work, and speediness of service. read more

Once again I was there today for my boyfriend's car and the whole crew working (12/31/21) was so nice and amazing. I didn't even actually need an oil change apparently and they were still nice enough to let me know of that fact, check the oil level in the car, refill the air in the tires, and get me a new sticker for my dash.
