I needed my oil change and was tired of taking my car in and leaving it for the day. I did some research and found this Take 5 Oil Change about 10 minutes down the road from me. Most of the reviews were super positive, and I decided to take a chance and head on over. All of the lots were taken when I arrived, and one of the employees directed me to the far left slot to wait. He was kind enough to offer me a free complimentary water, which I declined, but next time, I will definitely take one. The employees were super nice and weren't pushy on me over spending and buying more products I was in and out in about 30 minutes and my car is running just fine. I WILL BACK! Thanks guys! read more

Do not take your car here. They broke everything they touched on my vehicle. They broke the cap on my radiator, cracked My radiator and still charged me for a flush $120 when the knew fluid would just leak out. They ripped the edge off my air filter. All in one trip. James was extremely rude from the second I pulled in then he said "they are all open (meaning the lanes) but they all had cones covering them so I didn't pull up. He then was rude because he was visibly frustrated that he had to get back to work and not talk to whoever he was talking to in the parking lot. The location in Pinellas Park, FL They cracked my oil pan trying to force the seal in even though it was stripped (and didn't say anything to me about it needing to be replaced) which caused an oil leak and I had to replace the whole thing for $700 and they are trying to get out of reimbursing me. It's truly has been a wild and stressful past sixty days for most of us and i just haven't been out and about. That damn Rona had me and my family inside the house. Covid-19 has officially ruined this year 2020 is canceled in my book. Welp i stretched my oil change out as long as I could but today was the day. Pulled up to this joint which I've seen plenty of times but i had my own shop i was using, desperate times calls for desperate measures. So i gave them a shot and it turns out to be a good decision. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, i forget the brotha name with the bih beard he was awesome. By far the best price I could anywhere, they checked a lot of other things on my car, filled up the air pressure in my tires, and when I went to leave I stopped close to the exit for a while because I needed to plan my next trip (I'm a bit of a nomad) and 2 of the sweet guys I talked to earlier came up to make sure I was okay. This is a horrible place for people to work the manager talked my miner child into missing school to work on school days and had him stay past the time he is scheduled to work. Service was 12/10. It did seem pricey for an oil change but the ppl working there have no control over that. They made up for it by not terrifying me into adding a bunch of other expensive services. I have taken my Land Rover here on multiple occasions for an oil change and always appreciated the fast, affordable service. Today, I called to make an appointment and the man that answered the phone told me that they do not do oil changes on Land Rovers and they never have. When I questioned why I was able to bring my car there in the past, he very rudely told me that they can't and "Take 5's" don't do oil changes on Land Rovers period. I immediately called another local Take 5 in Largo off Walsingham and they said they could do it, no problem. All the speed, efficiency and professionalism you need in an oil change and oh wait... service?! I am sold. This team went above and beyond, offering us water bottles while they serviced the car. They did not haggle or try to upsell and they spoke "car" to us without being at all patronizing or impatient. They even cleaned the windshield upon completion. Don't go here. Their customer service is bad they don't seem to care about their customers and I question their technical ability. I had a long trip in a few days so I stopped in on Sept 5th for a quick oil change on 2020 GMC truck. Even though there was only one car in in the bay in front of me it still took 50+ minutes to get the service completed. That's bad but ok things happen. The issue was that later that evening I went to the store and found a puddle(not drips) of oil on my driveway. I cleaned it up and thought ok maybe nothing but I'll check in the morning and deal with it then. The next morning again a puddle about 6-8 inches across under the truck. I called and alerted the shop that I was coming back for them to check it out. They responded it's first come first serve and if there where other customers I would have to wait in line, not happy! There where but I got in to bay 3 after a 10 minute wait. I again alerted them that I was a customer with an issue/oil leak. They let me know I would have to wait until the cars in Bay1 & 2 were finished, 18 minutes later they start with me. They went under the truck and came back in 2 minutes and informed me that there where no leaks! I showed the Tech and Assistant Mgr Mathew F. pictures of the puddles of oil and explained that I have never had that much oil drip off after an oil change.(I've had a lot of trucks, 10 GMCs!). I grumbled and went on my way. Went on my 950 mile drive early the next morning, I check the oil a couple of times along the way it seemed ok. That Sunday I went to a football game and can out 4 hours later to find oils running out from under my truck and no oil showing on the dip stick!! To shorten the story, $360 later a mechanic told me that the oil was coming from around the oil filter, someone(Take5) put the wrong filter on my truck and that they put it on so tight that they had trouble getting it off. He put the correct filter and replaced the oil with no drips under the truck afterwards! So my 10 minute oil change cost me 5-6 hours and over $500. Visit at your own risk!! read more

The station at 49th and Park in Pinellas Park is getting much slower and much ruder. Been going there for years. I remember when they used to be fast and polite. Today I waited 15 minutes (I was the only car waiting) and no one even acknowledged me. I don't ask for much but it shouldn't take 15 minutes to let me know I'm not invisible. This is the first time I had my oil changed at the Take 5 on Park Blvd. & 49th Street, I had been going to Pronto on 34th Street, but, Pronto is now closed and out of business. This may have been a blessing in disguise for me. What a great experience at Take 5. The man that took care of me, named Jackson, was extremely professional and efficient. No high pressure sales pitch of extras and add-ons like they did at Pronto, He was well versed in what was needed for my car, and he explained all the options. I took his expert advice and purchased what was needed. It is refreshing to have found a professional, honest oil change company that has a top notch service crew that checks everything out and will advise me what service I need for my vehicle. I went four days in a row and was turned away every day. If it was 6:45, I would understand, but I went as early as 5:20 and was still told they didn't have enough time and/or technicians. No apologies, no friendly responses. I explained I had been there a few days in a row and twice I was told that the technician "wasn't working that day and they didn't know or care what happened on previous days". Always a solid experience. Every time I go it seems to be a different crew, but each one is pleasant and professional. They offer a bottle of cold water, they don't come off as incredibly pushy and trying to sell you every little thing, and their prices are decent. If they make a recommendation, they show you the part in question so you can see what they're talking about and make an informed decision. Worst experience I've ever had, forgot to put my oil plug back after changing oil, it was a wet day. I started wondering why the back on my car was looking so dirty, when driving on I-4 and wheels started slipping all over on the wet road I pulled over knowing something was wrong, thank goodness I did with oil covering my wheels on a wet day.
