It seems that most of the places near me have reduced the brands of oil they use for their oil changes. I'm particular to one brand and researched where I could go to get the brand I prefer. I found this place on Yelp and noticed that one of my Yelp friends (Glen H) had rated this place very highly. With that in mind, I headed off in my daughter's car to get it taken care of. I drove up and was immediately met by one of the employees. She asked what she could help me with, found out it was an oil change, and directed me into the nearest bay. Another worker immediately went to work and had the job completed very quickly. While I was waiting, I found that they had a 10% off discount with an offer on the internet. I talked with the cashier about using it and she said they take it off the bill when you pay:-) After the oil change was completed, a technician came in to tell me what he had done. He also recommended that the rear brakes be replaced within a couple of months. He said they offered that service and would be happy to do it when we decided to get it done. Will I return? Mother-in-law came over for dinner. We decided to take her vehicle but I found a strong smell of oil in the vehicle. Turns out she had her oil changed at Timberwood Lube. I opened the hood and found oil everywhere. The oil cap was left off and she had been driving without knowing it. Seems pretty basic for a technician to make sure the oil cap is put on before closing the hood. Needless to say there is now potentially a chance for rod bearing failure. read more

Terrible customer service. Was asked to sit in a dirty waiting room and wasn't acknowledged at all after that. Lady at the desk walked back into the office after chatting it up in the garage with the mechanics, and STILL didn't acknowledge me. All I needed was to speak to there "head mechanic" in regards to the suspension on my car. Was emailed in the morning stating he would be there, and able to check them out and provide a free quote. When I showed up, there was no one there. After waiting to speak to someone, at least 4 other cars showed up. All greeted and told what to do for the service needed. Went in for oil change. Charged twice as much as valvoline or jiffy lube. Put in a mix blend of oil when I asked for conventional. They dont check all the fluids and they are slow. Charged $30 for labor alone. Ridiculous. Was trying to support a small business but will definitely not be back and will post on social media to steer clear of this place. read more

Let me start by saying, I have always appreciated the support I receive at Timberwood Lube. The techs are fast and friendly. Recently my wife went to Timberwood Lube as I was leaving town and could not get to her oil change. She waited in the lobby. Shortly after she sat down the Tech servicing her car came in with a filthy cabin air filter and expressed to her the need to change it. Recall, she went in for an oil change. My wife looked at the filter and became upset. She has a cleanable cabin filter in her car that she paid $70 for the filter and cleaner. This filter was obviously not from her car and it was apparent that the Tech never opened her filter or he would have found a brand new looking, high quality filter that my wife had recently cleaned the week before. She simply looked at Jay (the Tech's name on the receipt) and said, "That is NOT my filter". Jay left with his tail between his legs uncertain whether or not he had been caught. He was! I am writing this review for my wife to warn other ladies that frequent this establishment. There are some Techs at Timberwood Lube that will lie to you and steal from you. Beware!!! I would like to see a response from the management at Timberwood Lube. Is this standard pracice for you? I certainly hope not. You would think the $15.50/ quart oil charge would be sufficient reward. I buy a 6 qt case at Costco for $29.99. Yes that is $5.00 a qt. Timberwood Lube can no doubt buy it cheaper, making their markup somewhere between 200 and 300%. read more

These guys are fantastic - they know what they're doing and they do a great job! We had an incident with the Buick dealer who said that the last person who changed our oil - messed up a connecting hose and wanted to charge me about $350 to fix it. Instead I took it back to Timberwood lube only to discover that they did not do anything wrong that the hose was loose (due to no fault of TL) and they actually helped clean the inside and made a fix on the hose so it would not come off. Best part is my engine light doesn't come on anymore! Would highly recommend this place. Good honest work! read more

Seems like a new guy, Sent me home first day I drove up, called again and said cannot do it today either, Just sounded like he doesnt want business/work to be honest. Needed a vehicle inspection. The mechanic told me my brake fluid was nearly empty and that I needed to refill it in order to pass the inspection. Thought this was strange because I'd never had issues with brake fluid leakage and my brakes felt normal to me. He said could not refill it there because they were the inspecting party (there was no other customers at that time and it would have taken less than five minutes for him to refill). I went to Autozone, purchased the smallest container of brake fluid they had. My brake fluid reservoir is pretty opaque so I could't tell the level by looking at it from the outside so i started pouring slowly. I poured about half of the twelve-ounce bottle and the reservoir nearly overflowed- had to siphon off the excess fluid with a turkey baster to get it back down to the max fill line. I don't know if the mechanic just didn't look closely at the reservoir or what his deal was. Either way they caused a massive waste of time between the failed inspection, trip to auto zone, and subsequent trip to target to buy a turkey baster that I immediately had to throw away after using. read more

First time trying a new place, this one is much closer to the house than my usual. So I took the wife's CRV over. Although they don't carry my prefered oil, the brand they use has a great reputation so I went with it. We always use synthetic oil and over the years it has paid off. We seem to not ever have any oil leaks since the switch and we put a LOT of miles on our vehicles. There were three vehicles ahead of me but I got in and out in a much quicker time than my usual place and they only had two guys working. My old place had around 5-6 working and it took much longer for some reason. I have my truck that is due for an oil change and I will be bringing over after the positive experience here. read more

Went to get my oil changed and was wowed by the customer service. They went above and beyond what any of the big guys will do. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need, they just did my oil change quickly and friendly at an extremely affordable rate. I was so impressed I sent my wife back the following day to get her brakes done and was even more impressed. I have never been to get my brakes done that they didn't try to tell me the rotars needed to be machined for an extra fee. These guys pulled the rotars out and showed them to me and explained that we didn't need any machining because they were in great condition. So we just got the pads replaced and left with a smile.
