I called on requesting an estimate on replacing a starter on my son's Honda Accord. The Manager quoted a price of $450 parts and labor for a "lifetime warranty" starter. I told him the car needed to be towed so I used the Goodyear towing service. The wait was much longer than anticipated but it was the start of Memorial Day weekend and I can't fault the wrecker service for being busy. The Manager called and told me I needed both a battery and a starter. I returned to pickup the defective battery and exchanged it with a new one. When I returned with the new battery he said he was having trouble locating the correct starter. I got a phone call later and he stated he was having the correct starter picked up and that it would be 35-40 dollars more. I said no problem. When I went to pick up the car at the close of business the Manger had left and the price had increased by $200. I was shocked at the new price but paid the bill. Then I was told the warranty on the start was NOT a lifetime warranty. I myself have been in a Manager in the automotive business for more than 25 years and even ran an independently owned Goodyear for 5 years. I've never "skipped out" and left my mechanic or assistant to deal with a possible confrontation with a customer. I've also never gone back on my promise of a warranty either. Many of my friends a family request my recommendations on tires and service. The Goodyear Auto service in Converse will now be a shop I'll tell them to steer clear from. read more

The gents here were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I went in needing to get all 4 of my tires replaced (pre approved using a third party lending company) and they basically had everything ready to go before I even got there. The work was done in a decent amount of time and they didn't try to oversell additional services. Great location for any of your auto needs that they cover. read more

ask for someone else if you get jason and it's cold or if there is weather probably. jason can't be bothered to actually walk to your vehicle, and then is bothered if you ask questions to understand. some people want to understand, jason, not just hear you talk. and get a jacket if you're so cold. i'm pretty sure your job description says 'involves walking outside'. read more

I have brought my car here for years to get air put in my tires and yes I have gotten tires here as well but NEVER again. Usually I pull up to the bay doors and someone usually asks what I needed. I tell them air in my tires and they proceed to take care of me. The last two visits over the last week not one person even acknowledged I was sitting there. The first time I only saw one gentleman and he appeared to be very busy however he could have acknowledged me and if he couldn't service me at that time I would have understood. Today the same thing happen. This time a different man was in earshot of my vehicle. I said EXCUSE ME SIR and he acted as if he didn't hear me. The men could have acknowledged me even if it was to tell me to move my damn car. This place used to be my favorite Good Year but no longer. read more

We were there right after opening Monday morning. Jason immediately assigned someone to give our vehicle a quick check, we were low on 3 different things they quickly took care of for us! I new to the area and happen to stop by at Casa Jalisco and look across was a Goodyear service center and I know my truck need a state inspection. I stop by on Tuesday 7/7 and get my inspection the staff was friendly and get my inspection done in 15 minute. I'm happy and also make an appointment for a oil change. read more

Came to use an oil change coupon--under $20. Front counter guys & branch manager were nice and helpful. They had their biker friends hang out at the garage---so it made it awkward and uncomfy as a customer. I was told I needed new tires. Although the guys were helpful, they managed to look up the wrong size....4 times?! Each time they looked the price got higher and higher. That raised a red flag to me and I refused. Guess I'll look elsewhere. And if it weren't for the coupon I probably won't be back to this location. read more

Nobody likes to work on "fleet service" vehicles... I let Doug know that I had a fleet vehicle needing its 7,500 mile service and a damaged tire. He said "these are no problem at all" and told me it would be about an hour and a half. There were two others in the waiting room and 4 cars currently being worked on in the bay. The time was spot on and was acceptable considering the amount of work ahead of me. Nice guys, great service! read more

Passing by I decided to pull in as I knew I needed work done on my noisy brakes. Andy greeted me with a smile as I walked in. He explained the process thoroughly so I decided to have the inspection and work done if needed. Andy was kind enough to allow me to eat my lunch in the waiting area and also let my dog hang out too! As I waited I contemplated getting an Uber to drive me home. I asked Andy if this shop had a shuttle. I was going just a short distance away. To my surprise he offered to take me where I needed to go and pick me up when my vehicle was ready. Goodyear has a customer for life. Thank you Andy! You rock!! read more

Brought my car in for balancing issues. Bought tires and rims for a company that only does tires and rims, well known. Well, 2 months later and 4 visits, that company still couldn't get it right. These rims and tires were put on a car with 6000 miles on it, 2018. Well, decided to take a chance that Goodyear could fix this problem that is now a major headache. Was greeted by Andy, I told him my issue and he assured me that he would do everything to resolve my problem. Every step in the process, Andy showed me what he was doing and to show me what he saw. Well after taking much care on making sure he did everything right. I left there, went down the street and started smiling. The issue was gone. It drives like I was wanting it to from the first. And talk about customer service, Andy was nice enough to call me the next day to see if I was happy with the results. Never got that at the other company and I spend a few thousand dollars their, sad excuse for a company. Goodyear has a customer for life. You want headaches, take your car to that other company. I took a new truck I had just purchased in to get tires by I preferred over the factory tires A young man who has no business touching peoples vehicles worked on my new truck. Well he must have used a by pic or a knife or something really sharp to take weights off the factory aluminum wheels. It looked like Freddy Kruger got a hold of my truck. All four wheels were damaged. Although I had to take the truck back to get the wheels polished , truck developed a vibration. It got to the point where they just didn't want to see me anymore. Fast forward two years. My dumb ass went back to try to purchase some all terrain tires. Same truck. The guy from 2 years back, saw my truck and told there was nothing he could do for me. I took my business elsewhere. You would think I was the one who messed up their brand new truck. Highly not recommended by me. read more

With over 30 years of experience and a quality price quote given to replace 2 engine mounts on my 2007 Avalanche I chose Steve to do the work. When it was done I felt very safe and comfortable with the fact the work was done correctly, efficiently and by somebody who has the training/experience in what they are doing. Update, district manager contacted me and plans on making it right. That is all we wanted was an apology, and to be treated like good customers. So I am amending my review. I must also say he contacted me within an hour of my email. He seems to care about his customers being upset. We made an appointment to get a tire replaced, and an alignment at our usual goodyear here in converse tx. On Monday, my husband left work for our apt. We bought a tire, and an alignment. We also got the courtesy tire and maintenance inspection. The paperwork stated all tires were not just good, but honestly brand new if you were to read what your tech documented....So that is the first lie there. Secondly, while there, YOUR service mgr came out and told my husband his tire light was on. My husband stated nope, it never was on. Your very rude service manager argued until he finally admitted the batteries were bad on his machine. Which is fine except your service manager started off with an accusing, rude attitude. No apology for his mistake.....But wait, because it gets much worse. As soon as we left in the car, we noticed it was pulling really bad. Worse than before we brought it to you....which as we both know, shouldn't be happening after new tire, other tires were documented as being perfect by your specialist, and we just got an alignment. So my husband called and asked if they could check the car again. We were even very accommodating and waited another day since they were busy. Today my husband leaves work again, and is treated like crap from the start. ( your so called SERVICE manager is the rudest, grumpiest old man we have met.....He needs a serious lesson in customer service and manners) They try to tell us one day later that another tire (the one they documented as 9/32 tread depth on our receipt from your inspection) was now at 4/32 one day later!!!!! and there was steel showing on the inside of the tire. Now you tell me how they managed to miss that?? They finally admitted that they did not road test the car either. after the alignment. Please tell me why couldn't they have apologized, and tried to work us?? Instead we were treated like crap. Again your service mgr went on to tell my aviation mechanic husband that he couldn't get us another tire until tomorrow. WITHOUT going to a computer. Finally your store manager came out and said he could get us one today?? What changed?? The fact that no one at your location apologized, and put me in danger by not road testing my car, and completely missed the other horribly conditioned tire, then lied on my paperwork that all of my tires were good is outrageous. But what makes it even worse is the way you allow your SERVICE managers to treat customers like crap is insane. He even had the nerve to tell us that it is our responsibility to catch the bad tires.....What?? What are we paying you for? AGAIN, I have never heard of such an insensitive rude service manager.....You may want to rethink his line of work. Lastly, when I asked my husband to ask for the corporate number, or district manager, and the employees name or numbers, he was told they are not allowed to give out names due to privacy. But when I walked in the lobby this info is there and on badges, and on our printed out receipt?!?!....very shady business practices. In this day in age, there are a lot of places to do business. Sadly you and your employees at this location are failing miserably. I will never bring business to you again, or recommend you to family. friends, or acquaintances. I also plan to file complaints with the BBB since I did pay for a service, and my car was not road tested. The tech lied about my tires stating they were all in brand new condition according to tread depth, and that we had to go several times and were told we couldn't have info on who to contact to complain. Whats even more sad, is all they had to do was actually check the tires, and I would have gladly bought another one while I was already there Monday.
