This is the second time the Broadway location has wasted my time by not having the filter for my Benz -- after making me wait 30 minutes again just to tell me that. They sent me to the Austin Hwy location, saying the manager Joe would be expecting me on Sunday. He wasn't. I was told to pull into the bay and then left sitting there for 15 minutes with no update while an employee played on his phone. No water offered, no communication, and to top it off, the music blasting from the shop was full of profanity -- including the N-word, B*tch, A**, P*ssy and other vulgar language completely inappropriate for any customer, let alone a Christian family. I called customer service afterward to check if Broadway had restocked the filter. They said they'd call me back. Never did. This entire experience -- from Broadway to Austin Hwy to customer service -- was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. Never going back. read more

I always service my vehicle-oil change and aur filters etc. today decided to take it somewhere we usually take our fleet of work trucks - visited the Pleasanton location. Technician said "glad you brought it in, your oil is black" but I drive a diesel so that's normal, Then they stated they checked my air filter in which they did not. Technician took my hose off to get to the oil filter when I advised him how to take off, he didn't listen. Terrible experience. read more

Had a great experience with this Take 5 Oil Change! As I arrived, I was immediately greeted, handed a water bottle, and asked how they can help. There was a couple cars in front of me, but once it was time to change my oil they worked quickly. I was grateful for their help, especially in the Texas summer heat! I didn't feel overly pressured to upsell with air filter, windshield wipers, etc. They offered, but were respectful about my decline which was nice. I change those things a couple times a year, but don't like feeling pressured to do it every single time when everything is working quickly. Downside (and upside I guess depending on the weather) is you stay in your car while you wait/get service. There's no waiting room area or anything. Places like this tend to have good coupons so do a quick google search for a coupon before you go. You'll probably save $10-$25! read more

5 minutes before I had my oil change done here I checked the oil myself and the dip stick was intact. When they completed changing my oil they attempted to show me that my oil level was good but didn't show me the dipstick completely. When I got home the tip of it was broken off. I immediately returned to the location to resolve this. I told the manager on site that I know for a fact it was not broken before I came in. He said that when they checked it it was broken. I asked why didn't he mention that to me. He stated he thought that I knew. I informed in that I 100% knew it wasn't broken before 5 minutes before my service. He informed me it's not his problem because he didn't do it and I need to call corporate because in his word 'you're sh*t out of luck because i know i didn't do it". I manage a company with over 150 fleet vehicles that get oil changes from this company. I will be changing that immediately. read more

I had previously gotten my oil changed at the Take 5 Oil Change on Broadway in San Antonio on May 13. I still had 100 miles to go before the free top-off service expired. I noticed that I was down 1/2 quart on my 14 year old car, which I expected. I made sure I drove to the very same location where I had my last service to avoid any hassle. The employee said I JUST made the cut-off but then said I wasn't low at ALL. I said when I checked it recently it was down 1/2 quart. He then countered with it being down 1/4 quart but definitely at a safe level. I was ready to leave right then rather than argue but he agreed to put in 1/4 quart. He said the receipt will read 1/2 quart because they don't have a smaller entry available. So much for the "Free top -off" service. I'd have had a better weekend just ignoring the missing oil! read more

It sucks when you can't even rely on your local oil change shop to just simply change ur oil correctly. That's what we pay them for. I've only had my truck for 5 months. It was clean as a whistle. Gave me no issues. I got my oil changed here, now I have an oil leak, bad!! Drive way at home and parking spot at work are covered in oil. My engine and, well under my hood it's completely splattered everywhere in oil, and my truck has been smelling like burnt oil since. Looks like they didn't screw stuff on right . Now I have to pay money to have this mess fixed. $100 they charged me to f*+% up my truck. Never will I return to a take 5, more like take $100. N ruin ur vehicle. I work long hours, I'm never off work before they close, so I've had a hard time finding the time to go back. Quick lube job done right! These guys helped me get my oil changed. They're trying it out where you stay in the car. I guess I've heard that some places take pride in this, so you can see the quality. Like you can see anything beyond the hood being popped up. But you can stay in the car, roll down the windows and blast some tunes. These guys hustle, and get the cars turned out quickly. They had a bit of a line when I arrived, but they changed out the oil and got my vehicle inspected quickly. These guys are new, but somehow had the info from the predecessor oil change spot about my car and history and such. They didn't try to upsell me on everything and were very straightforward and informative about everything going on with the car. They seemed to know what the car needed and how to do it. If you like your car and you like your car having oil in it and not your driveway don't go here!!!! . After the take 5 in New Braunfels ripped my 4wd sensor wires out, knocked my oil pressure switch off and told me to start my truck when they forgot to put oil in it then sent me on my way with wires dangling from my skid plate. I figured I would give this one a shot since they had good reviews. Boy was I wrong! After getting home from work I noticed my truck had spewed oil all down my driveway upon further inspection I noticed my oil filter (very crucial part) was only finger tight and the same with my drain bolt. I'm glad I didn't take my truck to work today cause I would have killed my engine and I doubt they'd be willing to put a new motor in my truck. I will never never goto take 5 again and I will highly advise anyone else from doing the same. After this I'm going back to doing it myself. read more
