Surprisingly good poke' from a food truck in Manor. A little on the pricey side, but overall, I'm glad we have a Poké spot in Manor.

I really liked my visit to Kemuri Tatsu-ya! I came here for a work dinner so we tried a bunch of…read morethings and shared -- the misoyaki butterfish and the fried chicken (chicken karage) were absolutely standouts, I LOVED! We also had the BBQ eel which was delicious (a bit pricey for 3-4 small pieces for $18, but it is cooked SO well). We had the charred edamame which does have beef in it (take note vegetarians -- there aren't a lot of veggie only dishes on the menu), and the taiyaki cornbread (excellent flavor and texture). We did get the hippie bone marrow (it's eggplant!) and the Kinoko mushroom for our vegetarian friend and she really liked both it even though she's not big into mushrooms (the kinoko has a strong umami flavor, it's quite meat-like actually). We got the hot pocketz too which are brisket based; they were very cheesy (smoked gouda) -- good flavor but the brisket isn't strong. My coworkers also tried one of their specials which is essentially a Japanese "famed dish" -- it's squid marinated in it's own guts. I tried the tiniest piece and it was one of the most abhorrent things I've had -- it was SO salty and kind of sour. I like fried squid but this was nothing like that; def would not recommend but if you like to try weird things, go for it. We also got several drinks -- the Match painkiller and Puff puff pass (serves 2 people) are both absolutely delightful! Very fruity/tiki-like. Someone else got the grapefruit sour which is basically Shochu in a glass that comes with a fresh half of grapefruit and a juicer you can prep yourself! Overall -- I like Kemuri a lot. The food is a little high for the portion sizes, but it's a solid place to go with friends/coworkers and share things so you can try a lot. Because things come out like it courses, you can easily get full without overeating. And the drinks are great! It's a more casual place inside, but you could still have a nice/fun date night here.

WOW, I was really impressed with this place. I came here honestly not really expecting the level of…read moresushi that I got. The Toro and Santa Barbara Uni were noticeably just so high quality. The uni was a vibrant orange. I was talking with my friend when I first took a bite of the Toro, and literally had to pause the conversation with how surprised I was by its texture, truly feeling like a piece of Wagyu. It was overall just so much sashimi as well for the $42 price tag -- you could honestly split it with someone. They also had a gluten-free menu and provided gluten-free tamari, which was appreciated.

To start, their Gyoza and Caramelized Brussels Sprouts are prime examples of items often seen but enjoyed in a new way. They have my favorite Specialty Rolls in town - filled with top quality fresh fish, original flavor combinations, and the sweet/spicy combo my palate prefers. "Land & Sea," and "Kiss Kiss" are 2 I love to rotate depending on my mood. You cannot go wrong with a variety of fresh fish served in generous portions served in classic but delicious ways, accenting natural flavors. This visit Alisa provided professional service with quick turnaround, and I tried something new - Garlic Edamame is charred and best eaten while dining alone. My favorite Salmon Nigiri is always fresh, low-sodium soy may not be traditional, but cuts the wasabi and was thoroughly enjoyed! Atmosphere is lovely for a strip-mall shop - piano Jazz and cozy booths, along with private dining rooms make this space ready for all occasions!

The fish is always fresh, the quality is outstanding, and it's by far the best all-you-can-eat sushi around. What really sets Tsukimi apart, though, is the owners. Mia and her husband are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they truly care about their customers. My wife is currently pregnant and was craving sushi, and Mia went above and beyond by walking us through the entire menu to point out all of the fully cooked options that were safe for her to eat. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is rare. The restaurant is very clean as well. Amazing food, amazing people, and consistently great service. We recommend Tsukimi to everyone looking for high-quality sushi and a restaurant that treats you like family.

Doesn't change the fact that we will for sure be back and take advantage of their all you can eat menu again!

This restaurant is the halfway point between mine and my boyfriend's house. So if I want to pick up some good dinner on the way I will call in our order to Shogun and pick it up. Our typical order is the Mikado special for him and Chicken or shrimp Teppanyaki for me. The orders, even the kids menu items come with rice, veggies, house salad, onion soup and a shrimp appetizer. Every visit over the past 4 years, even last night, The greeters and the takeout hosts have always been super friendly and prompt with orders. There's a full bar so you're welcome to order a drink while you wait. I've been known to order a glass of wine on one or five my visits. :) The food is a bit pricey but you get a lot for what you pay for. The flavor is always been good and consistent. I love the onion soup and the house salad. I'll never order the cucumber salad again because it has imitation crab on it and it's just not my prefer type of cucumber salad. I love Japanese and Korean cucumber salad but not this one. And that's okay. If you like imitation crab in your cucumber salad, give it a try. Anywho, as long as this man is my man and this is remains our halfway point, I'm sure I'll be ordering takeout many more times :)
