    Large Poke Rice Bowl
    Jason L.

Every time I come to Round Rock I have to hit Poke House at least once. Sure, it's not really near the ocean but somehow, it always ends up being one of the better pokes I've ever crammed into my chew hole. Fresh ingredients, generous portions and prepared quickly. The employees are friendly and helpful and I always look forward to getting my next fix.

If you haven't tried the pokerito....run! So so good. It really does make a difference in the taste. I got it rolled in the crushed hot Cheetos and mmm chefs kiss! The people working were chill and helpful. My only complaint would be that one of the girls had a significant amount of her hair down in the front while making food orders.

One of my favorite poke places in Austin! You can customize your bowl however you like with so many add ons to choose from. They slide your bowl down like an assembly line to each station and you can pick out your items. First is the base. You can select from white or brown rice, salad, combo of both, or pokerrito. I usually get brown rice for it's nutty flavor and chewy texture. Next is the protein. I like the salmon as it's rich and buttery, but there's also various tuna, shrimp, tofu, and a weekly special. All the raw fish is very fresh. You would tell them how many scoops you want. Third is the sauce. They're all good so I like to mix and match. I enjoy the House on Fire for some kick and the Garlic Miso. They drizzle it all over the protein and base. After that are the mix-ins. You can let your creativity shine! My favorites are the crab salad, seaweed salad, edamame, pineapple, cucumber, and corn. All the produce available makes it super healthy. :) Finally, the toppings. I love the crispy bits so I ask for them all! They have garlic crisps, hot Cheetos, tempura crisps, and furikake. Overall, it is a great combination of flavors, textures, and colors. They are generous with their portions too. In my picture, you can see it's overflowing! The environment is casual and friendly. Plenty of seating inside with benches along the walls and chairs across tables.

Poke House is my FAV poke spot. Affordable, generous portions, and so many topping options. They also offer rewards for signing up. Got my regular bowl for 50% off! My husband ordered the Pokerito which he really enjoyed but it was wrapped wrong. The rice was on the outside rather than the seaweed being on the outside. It was messy and fell apart quite a bit but the flavor was work it.

Fast service , fresh fish , fair price and tasty. Stopped off for a quick bite. Would visit again.

Great protein place and it's next to a gym! Generous portions and great flavor. Lots of additional spices to add. Great service too.

Salmon and spicy tuna with rice and salad. Tried a couple of different sauces.

Super fresh ingredients! Great meal to grab if you are wanting a lower calorie option. Lots of choices and toppings to choose from.

Suddenly craving Poke House but realized I haven't written a 5 star review for them so had to rushed here! Fresh seafood, yummy sauces, big portion, good price. That's what it's all about! It works similar to Chipotle (but a much better version of it). You choose a base (rice, salad, or half and half); size (2 scoops of protein is plenty); protein options (I usually go for salmon with shrimp (frozen shrimp don't expect much) or spicy tuna (mashed raw tuna). Classic ahi tuna is a little tough to my liking but if you are a tuna girl/guy, the taste is really good. Then you choose your sauces (mine is spicy house and garlic miso), veggies, aioli, and crunchy toppings. *One minus I would say is most of the time, when you order online, you get less food than ordering in person. So tip of the day, get inside and order in person :) It's also faster as well There are a few seating inside. It's giving a quick lunch rather than sit there, enjoy slowly and chit chat, so I normally just take it to go Highly recommended!

Brooo fire. This is the best poke I've found in Round Rock. You walk in and it smells like fresh fish which is a great sign. I got the salmon poke bowl and loaded it up phat. All the toppings are free except avocado. The flavor was so fresh and delicious. I got the spicy house and ponzu sauces and it was the perfect combination. I've been dreaming about this place ever since I went last week. This will be a go-to for me from now on.

Best Poke I can remember having.

Huge shout out to Lexi and the team at Poke House. We order pretty frequently and they ALWAYS (1) get our order right, (2) send fresh food, (3) and if I need help modifying my order, after I've placed it, they never make me feel bad. We love poke and this Poke House is the best anywhere. Thanks!

She eats sushi, but she doesn't eat too much raw fish yet, so I told her she had to "cheers" with me every bite while I was teaching her how to eat and enjoy different kinds of sushi. Then the tables turned because SHE had to teach ME how to eat the soba noodles since it was my first time trying them. She goes, "Mom, it's in anime!" LOL. Apparently she knew exactly what she was doing. All of the workers were really nice, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant was SUPER busy, and since it was our first time there, we didn't mind waiting. And honestly, it was definitely worth the wait! My daughter especially loved the ambiance. She made me take a bunch of pictures of her with the "aesthetic"x It was nice and quiet, and the seating had enough space that you weren't hearing the entire conversation from the group next to you. I do wish the restaurant was a little bigger, but hey... maybe in due time because they definitely deserve it! They also surprised us with a complimentary Pepper Fin -- yellowtail topped with jalapeño, greens, and sauce -- and OMG, it was SO GOOD! Such a nice surprise and definitely one of the highlights of our meal. Overall, great food, great service, great atmosphere, and most importantly, such a cute little mother-daughter memory for us. We also enjoyed the sushi, though particularly pricy - A trend we've noticed for decent (and not so decent) Japanese food here in the greater Austin area. The sushi impressed us, wife enjoyed it but it's hard to beat Japan for my wife. The menu is hefty, providing a lot of different options so everyone could be happy. Will definitely come back. Also, the service is a bit weird, ordering very good food and not cheap through a kiosk. Still great chiefs and place!

Title: Unfortunate accessibility barriers and rigid management…read moreI visited Bluefin in Hutto today but ultimately had to leave without eating due to significant accessibility issues and inflexible service. As a handicapped individual, I was disappointed to find that the only way to order is by standing up at a kiosk. This setup creates an immediate barrier for anyone unable to stand. Because of this restriction, my personal assistant had to navigate the ordering process for me. The kiosk interface proved confusing, resulting in an incorrect order that went unnoticed until a $71.45 hold was placed on my card. When we identified the mistake--which involved a significant price difference between a $10 item and a $22 item--I asked the staff to correct it. While they offered to change the dish, management refused to adjust the credit card charge to reflect the lower price. When I asked the manager to either process a partial correction or issue a full refund, he initially insisted neither option was possible. However, he then chose to issue a full refund altogether. This outcome made it clear that a new, correct order could have been processed from the start, but management simply chose not to accommodate the fix. While I cannot speak to the quality of the food, the lack of accessible ordering options and the rigid customer service make this location difficult to recommend for individuals with disabilities.

I must have driven by this restaurant whenever I was on Parmer for like 15 years ... and never got…read morearound to going in. When I finally did, I discovered one of the best Japanese restaurants in Austin. Okay ... if you are going to pay $600 for an omikase then the omikase place is better. The tasting menu at Uchi is better. But if you just want Japanese without paying a gold brick and taking out a second mortgage on your house, Miyo Yakitori and Sushi is pretty damm fine. * * * a) Japanese curry is a utility dish in most Japanese restaurants ... and when you get down to it, in most Japanese homes. It is often what you serve on "cheap" night. Airport hotels offer it as the "free dinner" for tired travellers. The curry sauce itself here is standard issue. But they serve it with a Pork Katsu the size of Williamson county. And it is a very good Pork Katsu. That Katsu was good from Liberty Hill to Thrall and from Hester's Crossing to Jarrell. b) My carnivorous partner's Fireball Udon with Shellfish blew him away. Temperature wise and aesthetic pleasure wise. He raved about how good his udon was all the way home. c) Service was instantaneous. I think there was some sort of event horizon distortion of the space time continuum that allowed them to prepare the food and then go back in time and deliver it within a minute of it being ordered. Both of us were impressed. d) The service staff was as nice as any human beings could possibly be. * * * Great food. Great service. The folks who live in the apartment complex that Miyo is in are very lucky people indeed. Either the apartments are lovely and they get Miyo on top of that. Or the apartments are terrible, but they can still spend all their time in Miyo to compensate. Seems like a fair trade. **************** If you read the other reviews, There seems to be some controversy about this establishment. Miyo has fans and Miyo has haters. * * * Here is my read on the conflicting opinions: a) Earlier in the restaurant's history - Say about 2016, 17, or 18, The restaurant was not very good at all. I think at that time it had another name. b) There was a name change and quality went up. Sometimes when this happens there is an ownership change (or there is an owner who swaps out the management and cooking team to put in new blood.) However, things got fixed, they got fixed. c) Miyo's yakitori is apparently still not where it needs to be. I am not a huge Yakitori fan. If your broiled meat on a stick is not $80 an ounce Wagyu, Or amazing organ meats grilled in the Caucasus Barded with lamb fat and with farm fresh vegetables On another skewer for serious taste contrast ... If you are not at that high level, I don't want to pay for meat on a skewer. There are people who DO like Yakitori. They do NOT like the Miyo versions of that. * * * Yakitori is less than 20% of Miyo's menu. The rest is sushi or wonderful cooked dishes. Lay off the skewer food and you can do well here.
