I had to get in some cajon food in this town…read more this restaurant is very close to my hotel and I have been eyeing it ever since I got here. finally, checked it out a couple days ago. i order the catfish gumbo which comes with 2 sides. I got beans with rice and the veggie of the day, also got a shiner bock beer for 5 bucks. total with tip was ~33 i think i gave 5bucks tip the fish gumbo was really good. i also really like the beans with rice. it has a slightly different flavor profile but also very good. i think this place is a hidden gem.... good portions, decent price, and easy parking, had to figure out another P for a triple P. i think this was better than when I got rip off on bourbon street, yrs back. that was straight up super expensive double charge the tourist stuff...

As soon as you walk into this spot, it feels truly transformed. It's like a time capsule of old…read moretimey New Orleans. We tried to go to happy hour with my partner's parents, but that was only available in the bar area. Given they have some health problems to consider, we could not move over and hover over teeny tables to have dinner so had to handle full price. At full price, I'd give it a solid 3.5. Bumped to a 4 because this is hard to find around here. We got: - shrimp yoli (if you only order one dish, get one with this SAUCE. It's to die for. The shrimp had too much seasoning that it was a little choke worthy and I NEVER complain about flavor. Just lighten up a little!) - escargot (the butter was broken.. so it was kinda rough) -catfish gumbo (solid portion) -redfish add lump crab (while we enjoyed this, it was pricy for what it was) -shrimp and crawfish pasta (good) -orange crème brûlée (light.. not my fav crème brûlée ever but fun to try) - chocolate cake brownie with ice cream

The whole Shabang which is all 3 combined. We went in an hour before closing and were seating within 20minutes on a busy Sunday night! The interior was very clean, great place to take family or friends. Had such a great experience!

I've been craving crawfish since forever so we finally came for dinner on Friday night at around…read more6:30 pm. We were seated immediately, which never happens. Our server was Camilla. We ordered our usual: 2 lbs of crawfish with their whole shabang sauce mild, we included 3 potatoes, 7 sausages, and 1 corn to the bag, a side of rice, cajun fries, and a margarita. We finished at 7:10 pm, which is like the quickest boiling crab experience ever! Thoughts: -Sauce is not the authentic boiling crab sauce, it is way less seasoned and had an odd aftertaste. Ca and Dallas ones are 10000% much better.. tasting wise, but I've also never been to a boiling crab where they've messed up the sauce?? cuz cmon! the sauce is the best part!!! -Sausages are TINY compared to other boiling crab restaurants we've been to -I don't normally dip my crawfish in the lime/salt&pepper cuz you honestly don't really need it, but I dipped it in there for every single bite this time around.. hence, the sauce.... -Menus on napkin holder aka QR code -Gloves were the only solid thing here! We will not be frequenting this boiling crab location anymore. Waste of money! Overall, boiling crab is honestly like the best besides all the waiting, but if the sauce isn't good, then it's not worth it cuz you really are there for the sauce. Parking spots are limited near the restaurant, and people ought to park better cuz some people just can't park. Get there early to avoid that and to lessen your wait time. Servers were attentive and nice.

Great spot for seafood…read more Service and atmosphere: The service was very good from get go. Our server was polite, friendly and helped us decide on food selections. The restaurant looks very nice inside. They offer comfortable seating arrangements. There is also nice bar area where you can sit at and order your drinks and food. Food and drinks: The restaurant has well designed menu and offer good selection of seafood options. I chose wild caught snapper. The fish was cooked perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender. The ginger sauce accompanied it superb. The Chinese broccolini was steamed and served with flavoured butter. The cheese dip with crab and crunchy bread was also great. The signature cocktails looked good and would opt for one next time. Pricing: $$$ - well worth the quality of food served.

My go to is their Crawfish Étouffée but there are many other Cajon dishes to try. Their service is always top notch and they have allot of hospitality throughout your entire dinning experience. The interior of their restaurant takes after the New Orleans style and reminds me of being there. Even when we go through Dallas airport, we try to schedule time between our flights so we can get dinner at another Pappadeaux's restaurant located on one of their terminals. Can't wait to go back!
