What a surprise that I came back to this truck without knowing I had been here before!! When I first came to this truck I had an unpleasant experience with some likely-expired cheese in a breakfast burrito. I came with my wife on a Saturday evening, probably around 7 PM. This truck is located among 3-4 other trucks with a covered patio with bench seating. We would probably have eaten there had it not been so hot outside!! Service was great and the young man inside the truck was nice and helpful. I was craving a quesadilla so I ordered one with carnitas. They asked if I wanted it with the fat or not--I knew it would be more delicious with it, so I said yes to keeping it. I don't regret it!!! The quesadilla was so good and the carnitas were tender and moist as they should be. I was happy to have 3 well-sized slices of it--great and generous portioning. It came with a side of sour cream and chopped tomatoes. We also ordered a side of rice--not the best rice I've ever had, it was pretty bland in flavoring that day and not as soft as I would have liked, still ate it though! I'm really happy that I had a better experience this time around. I'll definitely be back to try more off their menu!! read more

We were fans of their tacos, especially the bistec and al pastor, so we decided to hire them to cater our baby shower in Manor. Hiring a catering service was supposed to reduce stress, but instead they added to it. The staff showed up late, served the food late, and set up the toppings in a way that caused confusion and long lines. This completely threw off the schedule of our event, which had been carefully planned in advance. The agua fresca ran out well before 50 servings, even though our package was for 50 people. clearly, they didn't bring enough. Given that the event was local, they were able to get more agua fresca but this shouldn't have happened in the first place and if we weren't local this wouldn't have been a feasible option. They also left before the contracted end time, and served the wrong type of beans. To top it off, they later contacted us about a $15 beverage jar, which feels absurd given all the issues. Overall, this was unreliable, poorly managed, and added unnecessary stress to what should have been a special, enjoyable day. I would not recommend their service for any important event. read more

So many food trucks in downtown Manor, we decided to start checking some out and noticed El Carnitas the other day and how busy it was, that's gotta be a good sign! We went on a Friday early evening-ish and it was pretty quiet. We realized that the there were other food trucks in the same property, the outdoor seating was covered, plenty of seating (which of course it's shared with the other Food Trucks I would imagine), and even turf grass! It was a humid day and we were getting bit by mosquitoes so decided to order to-go. I ordered a Carne Asada Huarache. The tortilla, beans, tasted great! The meat itself was good too, I wish it had a bit more flavor to it, and I would've probably preferred Queso Fresco over Melted Cheese. It was still a delicious bite! My husband and I shared an Horchata and that was tasty as well, huge portion! The service was great and we didn't wait long for our order (probably because there wasn't that many people when we were there). Plenty of parking too. I'd like to check other Mexican Food Trucks around and rank them all. So far this one is somewhere at the top of the list for sure! read more

Such a great find so close to the house....Lots of delicious menu items to choose from (see attached photos)...Its a cool little truck with 3 other joints as well....plenty of covered seating....and the service was super friendly....the first thing we spotted was Birria, and not reading anything after that turned out to be a blessing. What we thought was going to be Birria tacos turned out to be a huge 32oz container of Birria with broth (Birria on a Plate)....5 corn tortillas, cilantro, onions and limes (on the side)...and we ordered TWO of these! The meat was tender, broth amazing...way more meat then 5 tortillas could handle...Both red and green sauce are very good, red being my favorite. Honestly we probably wouldn't order this if we knew what it was...But boy are we happy we did. Most definitely will be back to try other menu items. read more

Make sure you come hungry :) Each day they announce the types of meat available on their Facebook and Instagram pages so be sure to keep an eye out if you want a specific taco or dish! FYI: Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays and each taco is $2.50 each Each order of tacos comes with onions, cilantro, and lime. We ordered: Barbacoa de res tacos: Super flavorful and super juicy. Carnitas tacos Fried Quesadillas: Golden and crispy, served with a spicy red salsa Mexican coke Mandarin jarritos The owners are super friendly and are happy to answer any questions about the menu! They do offer breakfast tacos and breakfast plates too that I'm excited to try next time around. For anyone with a sweet tooth they also have their own homemade desserts such as choco flan! There's a variety of homemade salsas at the front and pickles jalapeños too if you want that extra kick! I found this place by chance and I'm so glad I tried out this little food truck because it's so good! The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and they're very quick! The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the first time I went I had a bad experience, waiting 40+ mins for the food and they were sold out of everything except asada and al pastor but I'm glad I gave it a second shot because they redeemed themselves. The al pastor meat is a little spicy but it's so flavorful! I've gone back at least 4 times and I've tried their asada, al pastor, barbacoa de res, barbacoa de borrego, and carnitas and none of them have disappointed. They easily have the best al pastor tacos I've had and their homemade corn tortillas are so good too! The gordita was smaller than I expected but it was still really great! Good truck right off hwy 290 east bound right before exiting manor toward Elgin. Nice place to grab some DELICIOUS tacos when driving thru or if you live in the area. What a great surprise! We stopped by for a breakfast taco and ended up ordering carnitas and barbacoa. Memo was so welcoming and gave us some consomé to try (add some red sauce to it). The flavor of each bite was like going back home. The meat was full of flavor and soft and the tortillas were handmade. The salsa and condiments were excellent along with the Jamaica and mango aguas frescas. Everything was fresh. We will definitely be back.
