It is a Farmers…read moreMarket that is held every Friday from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. They block off the streets, and there's plenty of parking nearby. There are lots of food booths (mostly Mexican food) and several other booths selling a variety of items. Taquiza Sinaloense immediately caught my husband's eye, and he ordered a soft taco with chorizo and potato. It was delicious! I wanted to walk around the entire place before ordering more food from Taquiza Sinaloense. There was a really nice lady there who told us that their food is the best, and she said she knew we'd be back. She was right! Although other booths had appetizing food, it just didn't compare. Their presentation was beautiful! We each ordered a plate, which included rice, beans, and our choice of two items. The guy who helped us was so nice and let me sample a few items before I made my decision. My husband ordered chile verde and beef. I ordered chipotle chicken and this amazing mixture of chiles, corn, and cheese. OMG! It was incredibly delicious! Each plate was $14, which is a great price since we both had leftovers. We will definitely go back. I will try to order food from different vendors next time. If you decide to check this place out, make sure to try Taquiza Sinaloense! You won't be sorry!

This is a smaller market/festival that seems to cater a lot to the local neighborhood crowd, but it's active and there are a variety of street vendors, which mostly seems to sell various types of Mexican food, but I didn't see everything, so there might be foods from other countries as well. When we went, there wasn't any music, but maybe that starts later and we didn't really stay long since you can walk through the whole market pretty quickly. But if you live nearby and want something to do on a Friday night, this isn't a bad place to check out.

Their barbacoa has dramatically improved since the last time we had them cater our events. Their hard shell tacos are superbly delicious. Everyone ate like crazy until it came out their ears. Ya full yet? I know my friends can eat, but they ate like little piggies. Scarfed up everything. What's great is Johnny the owner at the end helped bring the leftovers into the kitchen for us. Overall, fantastic food, excellent service with a great crew that was able to accommodate us. El Charros Barbacoa West Covina, California Catering

Their barbacoa is the closest to my moms and it is bomb! Most places who sell barbacoa, it is either dry like carnitas or not as much flavor but El Charros is amazing! They even give you extra sauce to pour on the sandwich. They have about 3 different salsas that you can serve yourself, limes, onion, cilantro, etc. My family and I have also tried both types of tacos (soft and dorado) and the planchada's and they are just as good! They sometimes go to Progress Brewing in El Monte so when they are not on Sunset in La Puente, we drive to El Monte just for the food. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

The al pastor, chorizo, and cabeza taste amazing. The chicken on the night that I did get tacos tasted a little weird. I loved the green salsa, red salsa, and avocado sauce that they include for sides. They have the perfect amount of spice and lots of flavor. Warning, the jalapenos they include are very spicy!! You get your own radish and limes that they provide for you and everything is simple, clean, and organized. I would highly recommend this spot if you're craving tacos late night or even for a large party of people. Also the 6 tacos for $12 is an amazing deal. Just be warned that if you get multiple orders and they stack it, the tacos may be flattened out. Also their Macho Burrito (can choose your own meat) is huge!! and delicious. It also doesn't easily fall apart if you keep it in the aluminum foil. The service was great. The cashier and the cook were very friendly and kind. The area is in front of a tire shop and it seems a little sketchy because of some dark alleys but that's just LA so always stay aware of your surroundings. It's in da hood!!

I love coming here to order from the awesome kid at the cashier, always singing to his Spanish tunes. The asada meat here is a little different than your average LA Mexican asada. Seems a bit more smoky in flavor, which makes me think they use a smoker to cook their meat. I usually go between a pura carne if I'm feeling carnivorous or when I need the carbs; you can't go wrong with a $5 jam packed burrito! Definitely worth a try if you love Mexican food.

I usually order a burger, but since I had a heavy lunch, I thought I'd get some tacos this time. Tacos are not it. For $5 a taco, you are pretty much getting ripped off. On their menu, it clearly states guacamole is included. The taco is literally tortilla, asada, bell peppers and onions. I can make better tacos at home. I was expecting real, authentic style Mexican tacos. But no, I just wasted $25 for 5 skimpy tacos. I know we live in a messed up economy. But for small food trucks to cheat their customers, that some bull. I won't be returning.
