Some taco spots slowly go downhill over the years. This isn't one of them. This is still one of my go-to taco spots and every visit reminds me why. The meat quality is consistently excellent and it's hard to beat when those late-night taco cravings hit. My favorite item isn't even a taco....it's the Wednesday $8 Angel's Potato special. The only downside is that it comes with just four tortillas, and I always end up buying extras because the portion is massive. Seriously, the serving size has never shrunk. It's the definition of a loaded potato, and I appreciate that they've kept the portions just as generous over the years. One tip: since this is a taco stand, don't assume they'll always be at their usual spot. I've made that mistake before and showed up to an empty spot. Check their Instagram before heading over, and make sure to read the comments too. They don't always post closures, but customers often mention if they're not open. Ana, who took my order, is always so welcoming and always has a kind smile. I ordered 3 Vampiros - Pastor, Cabrera, and Asada. They're all so generously loaded with so much meat, etc.! My 3 meat choices has great flavors, and are tender and juicy. These completely reminds me of the tacos from Tijuana and Tecate, except that this truck gives MUCH larger portions! My cousin brought us here and the taco truck is some of the better ones I've had in the states. The carne asada fries were delicious. It comes with so much food and sauces. It's big platter so we shared it with four adults after dinner (like a post dinner snack). Each bite was rich in flavor. It's a nice balance between all the senses from salt to heat. Fantastic taco truck, I understand why there's a line. The tacos are saucy and juicy, plenty of meat to boot. I understand they have specials like Vampiro and Papa loca, but it was Tuesday and National Taco Day to boot so I had to stick with tacos! I got al pastor, cabeza and carne asada. All meats were piled up and had great meaty flavor. I really like guac and salsa and these tacos come dripping, I have to admit I don't really get TJ style tacos often but am a big fan because of this truck. I had heard this is a great place to eat. Realized it is a series of food trucks so you have to find out where they are. The best way is to go to their Instagram site (#angelstijuanatacos). Not all trucks have all products and services. For example, wife ordered carnitas tacos but this truck doesn't cook that. I thought I had seen where some accept Zelle but again, this one does not. [I went to West Covina on Glendora]. Tacos are certainly good but my question is why pay more for this place than similar restaurants. Pretty disappointed with this location. The asada was way too salty, and I asked for extra crispy al pastor but they didn't make it like I asked. We ordered 6 tacos and none of them had guacamole. When I asked, they said "oh we ran out" but didn't bother to tell us when we ordered. They still charged full price and didn't offer a refund or even an apology. The asada tacos were also cold, and the area behind the truck looked messy with agua fresca containers and other stuff lying around, honestly looked kind of dirty. It's ok. Nothing spectacular. The issue is nothing has a price. Is a taco gonna be $2.50 or $10? Will they change the price every day, depending on how you look, if you speak Spanish or not, why not just have a fixed price and display it. I've always talked so highly about this place and have recommended it to so many people looking for a good taco spot. Unfortunately, today just wasn't the day. I took my brother, who's visiting from out of town, and we had a really disappointing experience. The woman taking our order came off a bit snobby, which was surprising since I've always had good service here before. When we got our food, everything felt warm at first, but by the time we got home, and I live just a few minutes away, the tortillas were warm, but the meat was cold. The pineapple in the al pastor looked old and dried up. I've always ordered from Angel's to go, and not once have I had an experience this disappointing. Overall, it just wasn't the quality I'm used to from this truck. Requested green salsa three times. And was asked if we wanted red. No thank you green salsa. It was as if she wasn't paying attention. Then request grilled onions and pickled carrots on the side and was declined. But yet there's a picture advertising grilled onions. False advertisement!! That's not all! Requested light onions. Plate was full of them. Asked again for Green salsa, because I saw her put red salsa inside the bag. She gave me a look as if it bothered her. Very Dirty look!! Everything seemed to bother her. ( btw. Receipt says no red salsa) but doesn't mention green ) The meat was super salty! I couldn't even eat it. Not to mention the tacos tortillas were as thinner than a German pancake. I came had to try this place because it looked soo good when I saw it on social media. I got a corn quesadilla with al pastor because I have never seen that on a menu and a vampiro with cabeza. I really underestimated how much food it was. Just by reading the description of a vampiro and looking at the picture, I thought it was be all the topping on a tostada. It was way bigger than I had expected. I thought the vampiro was okay. Yes, the tortilla was crunchy but it was more like if you left a tortilla on the grill for too long type crunchy. The cabeza was okay as well. I thought the quesadilla was much better and the al pastor was pretty good. I think this place was okay. Angels Tijuana tacos is right outside the Bowlero parking lot on Glendora Ave. Service was quick, heard it gets packed as the day goes on. Great first time around here. Ordered nachos with asada comes with beans, cheese, onions, cilantro and a hefty portion of guac over chips. Plenty for 2 or 3. Tried a queso taco with Al pastor. I was hoping the cheese be a little bit more crispy but it was still good. Plenty of guac on the taco as well. Tell you what you'll be saying "Holy Guacamole!" because this place doesn't skimp on the guac. Salsas are good with a little kick to them. I don't know how my husband finds these places but he does. Finally a good TJ (Tijuana, Mexico) style taco close by. This is my second time and I I'm already in for our next visit. Let's start with the tortillas are handmade and the tacos are only $2.50. They don't have a price menu posted, but this place is well priced. Everything I've tried has been really good. Some of the food items are huge and well served. The ratio of meat and toppings is just right. Like the nachos and the vampiro are bigger than most places. They have two salsa to choose from. The red one is spicier than the green one. I can handle a bit of the green, but not too much the red. Don't forget to get an Horchata with your good. I found out today the refill is only $3. If you plan on coming later in the evening expect a line. If you show up early evening you should be fine. Nite; this is a taco truck parked on the street in front of Bolero. Nothings fancy. I love being able to support local whenever possible. I'm also happy to see Angel's in West Covina, and more importantly to see them delivering as they have in other locations. Al pastor, asada, and cabeza tacos do not disappoint. Full of flavor. I get them con todo, but you gotta eat them quick! Decent flavor, but disappointed with the temperature I was really looking forward to trying this spot since I've been to their Echo Park location, where everything's always fresh, hot, and made right in front of you. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that. The tacos had decent flavor, but the meat and tortillas were very cold, which made the whole meal a letdown. Maybe it was just an off day, but it definitely didn't compare to the quality I've had before. Several people have written about their experience with the ATTITUDE of the people who work at this location. I laughed reading them cause I could relate. My partner and I decided to stop for tacos before driving up to NorCal and since we planned to eat in the car I thought there's no harm in asking if they had 2 gloves. I literally asked "Do you happen to have 2 gloves?" But upon asking, the girl who takes orders said, "You have to buy those yourself. We aren't a company" sooo rudely. I was taken aback because as a young person alive in the 21st century I couldn't care less about service as long as the food is good. But her attitude was just unnecessary and rude when a simple "no" would've sufficed. I really don't care much about stuff like this and wouldn't write a review, but the interaction bothered me so much I figured I'd just share my experience. Anyways! We got their burritos and tacos (all al pastor) and recommend the tacos. The burrito was subpar and definitely NOT something to go out of your way for. The tacos, though, were pretty good and we liked how they have a table for sides. Cilantro and raw onions not included on the table. 1 star is too generous. The cabeza was too gamey. The potato for the potato taco was not cooked at all. It was very raw. They didnt fluff it like a baked potato. Just cut the potato raw like they didnt cook it at all and added the toppings. It was not worth 16 dollars. Never coming back. read more

As far as taco trucks, this one is really tops! TJ style (which is supreme IMO) having guac smeared into each taco. The meats are cooked right, the burritos are fat, the salsa is spicy. The service is pretty good. They take card and/or cash. A bit pricey but totally worth it. There's another truck in front of Vons, don't get em twisted, these are far superior! No tables or chairs, just stand and eat. read more

These are the best tacos I've ever had. At this location the carne asada is the best but the other locations I like the Al Pastor.

I used to eat at the one in Fontana. So good! This location... ehh just ok. I felt it was a bit pricey but they do seem to give bigger portions than many competitors. I didn't like that they just slop the food together and when you try to eat it you have a nasty mess (like if they just threw it in a blender and wrapped it kind of mess). Mind you were trying to eat in our vehicle. I was especially disappointed with the Mulitas that weren't crunchy and just super sloppy. Tacos were also sloppy and just ok. I've never had this problem at the other location which means it can be done without slopping it together. You're trying to earn money people... act like you care just a little lol. I'll try again to see if it was just that night but if not, I'm gone... too many other spots hustling to get my dollar. Proceed with caution peeps. read more
