    Pad ke mao
    Robert K.

Came in and got some pad kee mao to go. It was delicious. I really enjoyed it as I proceeded to eat the entire order myself along with the fresh shrimp spring rolls. This is one of the best places around for good go to Thai food. I don't really think people eat there though as it's more of a Thai to go order place. The food is always fresh. The veggies are fresh and they really know their sauces. Cannot wait to go back.

Food to go - avocado salmon curry

Yes!!! Ordered the avocado salmon curry spice level 3 and it was bomb! My guy got a chicken veggies and cashew nut and liked it. I'd recommend it.

    Salad rolls.

I have had the pad Thai a few times. It is good. But it is different every time. Smaller portions with chopped peanuts. Bigger portions with no peanuts. No service, other than taking your order and delivering your food. You have to ask for beverage refills, go to the counter to pay. Go to the counter to get to go boxes. Staff sits around a big table. With food on it. Been to much better places with better food and service.

This was what I had, which was the combination appetizer platter. Only $13.95 and more than enough food for me!

Food was pretty good! We had a large group and were really happy with the food. It also is conveniently located by my church.

    Disgusting. Thank you

Disgusting!! I hope after they raised there prices they may have enough money to invest in hair nets!! Bon Appetite!

Probably the best pork egg rolls in town. The wonton soup also knocked my socks off. 10/10 would recommend.

I've been wanting to try Thai Orchid for a while now. Anytime I ask someone for Thai food…read morerecommendations in Vancouver this place is always brought up! Not just for Thai, but for sushi as well. So it was finally time to dive into our list of recommendations and hit up TO! The space is set up nicely, decor and ambience is definitely there. 4/5 for ambience. Service was a bit slow though, they had my server running between a big party in the back and us in the front. We ended up asking different runners/bussers for things and they got our server for us every time. 2/5 for service. Now onto the good part! Tom Kha Soup 3/5 - 5 spice (spiciest option) which came out pretty quickly. We ordered the rest of our dishes based off the spice of the soup. Soup was not spicy, maybe the tiniest little kick. Definitely felt like a 1 so we ordered the rest of our dishes in a 5 as well. Soup was pretty standard, good flavor. Shrimp were big and bouncy, mussels were plump, squid and scallops were tender. Peek Gai Tod 1/5 - Thai style chicken wings tossed in spicy basil sauce. Chicken was cooked fine but the sauce was utterly disappointing. It looked so sticky and promising but ultimately tasted like unseasoned chicken. There was no indication that this was a spicy basil sauce whatsoever. I even asked my fiancé multiple times what the sauce was supposed to be since he chose this dish but he couldn't tell me either. Pad Ga Prow 2/5 - This is our all time favorite Thai dish so we HAVE to get it whenever we get Thai! This one was a bit disappointing. First off, the color was way off, this was so light! Definitely didn't have that yummy wok charred flavor. Spice isn't consistent here, a 5 on this dish was extreme. I'm a ghost pepper salsa kinda gal but this went past that. Felt like a 7/5 in spice. Gaeng Ped Dang 2/5 - Thai red curry with chicken, eggplant, bell peppers, and bamboo shoots. Ordered a 5 spice on Thai dish and it came out more like a 2. Curry flavor was good, vegetables were way overcooked and pretty mush. I'm not even sure what the spice scale is anymore at this point. Crab Fried Rice 1/5 - There was peas and carrots in the fried rice.. peas and carrots do not belong in fried rice, especially Thai fried rice. Rice was mushy, and crab was disappointing. It was literally so shredded and sewn into the dish that you couldn't really tell if there was crab or not. For $25 give me some actual crab pieces. Fried rice is literally the highest profit margin food on a menu. Spice on this felt like a 3. Thai Tea 4/5 - Wasn't too sweet, best thing I had the entire meal. We probably won't be back. I rate this a very low 2 or a very high 1.

I have to say the food was really good. We had the curry puffs, which were flaky, hot and delicious! The portions were big enough, but according to all of the reviews, people think it is a small portion, but it is not a small portion we had to take a third of our rice and a third of our pad Thai home The only negative, is the frozen mixed vegetables. Fresh onions and fresh cilantro, but bagged up frozen peas corn and carrots. Go check this place out!

We also ordered an app of crispy egg rolls. Both dishes were freshly prepared and ample. The egg rolls were very slim and a little over priced at $8.00 for 4. The total bill came to $46. before tip. Waitress was nice and very low key, but attentive. Still looking for a Thai restaurant that offer more inventive dishes and Pad Thai with skinny noodles.

We started with a couple Thai mules which were made with a spicy and delicious ginger beer. I have been craving that rice dish for the past week since our visit. I will have to go back soon! The servers were attentive and helpful, even though it was closer to closing time than we thought. Restaurant was clean. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering the restaurant. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered a few appetizers to share; coconut shrimp, potstickers, chicken satay and BBQ pork fresh salad rolls. Each appetizer came with an appropriate dipping sauce. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a bit dry, but the curry flavor was perfect and the peanut dipping sauce helped give it a bit of moisture. I feel like the prices were a bit steep. We only ordered one non-alcoholic beverage and 4 appetizers, and the bill was just shy of $80, with tip. I guess I didn't realize how expensive it was since last time I came for Happy Hour. Overall we were happy with our experience here; however, next time we'll make sure we hit Happy Hour for better pricing. Would recommend.
