I called Alan. Alan called moments after I called which I was thankful for. He told me what things I needed to worry about and what to address on the phone. He spent some time speaking with me. He told me the things he thought needed to be addressed, and told me he didn't think he needed to come out and wanted to save me money if I could do it myself, which I could. It is not very often that I speak with someone who is willing to help and is not just interested in making a buck. I was having trouble re-installing Office 365 (specifically Outlook) on my new PC laptop. All the…read moreother products installed seamlessly. Despite numerous attempts (and diagnosis time/effort), Outlook just refused to connect up with my email server (Google). I used Yelp, rather than the 800 number (which reportedly is slow in responding). Well a Yelp inquiry wasn't much faster as I didn't get a response for a day and one half. The good news is that Ken got back to me and things went well after that. We set up a remote access day and time. The remote access works really well and he was able to figure out a couple of details that were blocking the connection (cached incorrect credentials, Google Access issue, Registry issue and 7 unneeded and worthless .OST files). He even suggested a better virus protection software product along with improved Ad Blocker software. I am very pleased with the knowledge and support of Ken. They charge for a minimum of one hour and he had me working in 40 minutes. He told me that if I have another issue, I can use the remaining 20 minutes of help.

Turns out my hybrid uses a less common 12V battery and it's located behind the passenger side dash, making it a trickier install. I was surprised when ChatGPT (don't judge me) recommended Batteries Plus over other options because I figured they only did phones, etc. Thankfully this gamble paid off. Worth noting: their website has a model lookup that said the battery wasn't in stock but I decided to call them anyway. Thankfully it was there and the associate put it aside for me. There's a small upcharge for "tricky installations", which this definitely was. My back hurt watching the poor guy twisted over the center console installing my new battery. They ended up calling us a couple days later to let us know the diagnosis for our controllers and what they'd be doing to fix them up. Called best buy back and they told me they don't know what's going and it's their system. Got ahold of the manager the next day and he told me that he was going to escalate the situation and make sure I got the macbook. He said it will take 24hours and this was being told to me after 3 days of waiting. 15min after I get off the phone with him, I get an email saying my order was cancelled. This is the worst best buy I have ever been to. Better to go in and buy with cash then deal with their bad customer service over the phone. They don't even deserve 1 star.
