My husband and I went for a quick dinner on a Friday night. Walking in the place looks cool with all the art and neon lights. The one thing I was skeptical about was orders are only taken on a kiosk with no real person to talk to and that always scares me because of my plant-based lifestyle and allergies BUT I do have to say I was impressed at how they do pay attention to the notes added on the order and for everything correct. I ordered the mushroom tacos which I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the mushrooms were nice and tender not chewy at all and that was a huge plus for me. The guacamole was good with zero heat which is how I like it. Chips were thick and crunchy didn't fall apart. Not pictured my husband had the corn cup and the steak tacos.

Delicious tacos, fun ambiance, and good prices. Would come back! Three of us shared the street corn nachos. The three tacos I had were so yummy.

Really cool place. Nice decor with all the carabelas and black nights. The sayings and the hall to the bathroom with all the neon lights gives it a great touch, makes u feel like ur in a club. The food is really good and the kids menu has variety. I love that you get good portions as well. You have to get the biscoff churros which are amazing. Totally recommend.

Food was great! I was disappointed because I walked half a mile from my hotel to get a margarita with my dinner and they do not serve alcohol at this restaurant. Not their fault though. I had the steak quesabirria and it was different and delicious. The lemonade was good too.

Firt time here, Waitresses were ready to welcome me and greet me, one of them explained to me how to use the self service screen to order. Nicely decorated with Catrinas theme murals and Mexican decoration in the renovated location. I Ordered to go, it took about 15-18 min to get the order ready. Quesabirria was good but a little bit lack of flavor or salt, didn't try the broth on the side, perhaps it may give the extra kick of flavor. Tortilla chips were not crispy or didn't feel fresh. Kid's menu burrito was good but fries were all small broken pieces. Would love to pay a second visit to try something else. Wishing good luck to management and new business in the Miami Springs area.

Just cook at home if you're actually Hispanic or Latino. Service is okay nothing over the top. Drive thru is a bit messed up.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. The service was a little bit slow, and I felt that the server got annoyed with us when we asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu. It was more the face she made, but I kept my cool. The food was great and the portions were generous. The salsas that she brought to the table were delicious. I wished I had asked whethet they sold them because I would of bought some. When we walked out to leave, I realized that they have outside sitting, but the restaurant is in a plaza, so the sitting is in the outside in the middle of the plaza.

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

It was meat cooked so well and the layers of toppings made it feel like I was on top of the world. The sides were not even needed but it added extra flavor to the burrito it self! Very fulfilling option if you're hungry! The chicken fajitas were like a 4/5. The topping and sides were amazing. The tortilla was crunchy just as I like it but the chicken was missing something. It was seasoned great but it might have just been me but I did not enjoy the texture too much! Still ate it all though cus everything complemented it so well!

Basically one person up front and one in the back. Didn't speak much English either so resorted to menu pointing. Food was solid but pricey. Decent portion sizes though. Quesadilla (4): good. Very cheesy which we liked. Burritos (5): we got pollo and asada. Both were solid and came with guac and pico de gallo. Flautas (3): super crispy which was good but the chicken was super dry and needed more seasoning. They really rely on the salsas here so drown them. Tacos (3): meats were all well done with good char but again, you need to eat them fast and right away cause the meat is overcooked and dry. Could also use seasoning. The camaron was the best out of asada, camaron, and al pastor. Overall, solid 3.5. they're pretty good on the grill. Many dishes could use more seasoning but the char was good. I'd recommend in a pinch.

I had the torta, pork belly and al pastor tacos, and esquites! Definitely not bad but a miss in terms of flavor and quality. The esquites my wife and I could not even finish which is rare! But again it was lacking a more seasoned meat and salsa that tasted less of peppers and more like salt mixed with salt! Now the service and people save the day! So sweet! So helpful! I hate the way the food was as strange as the people were kind but it was just my experience. The ambiance is clean! Vibrant and classic Miami Latin music playing throughout! Food is usually Fresh and Delicious, service is warm and friendly. We tend to eat early, so we usually never have issues finding a table. If you eat late, it may be a little tougher to get a seat because this place gets packed. The Salsa is so tasty and by far the best in the area. Sometimes we like it a little spicier so we'll add a couple drops of Cholula Hot Sauce, but the spice level is usually on point so we don't doctor it often. The Steak Fajita Salad is my go to meal, as the Onions & Peppers are perfectly cooked, along with the Steak. This salad is so yummy I rarely use the dressing that comes with it. It just doesn't need it. My husband loves the Mexican Burger and they have the best French Fries in the area! I just wish the serving size for the fries was just a tad bit bigger.
