Could not have asked for a better server than Jeffrey. I'm a foodie, details matter, get it right, don't bring me cold food or overcooked eggs- he took care to make sure we ate well. Apps were memorable- Maple Sausages, French Toast Flight, still haunt me. Sausages cooked in Maple syrup, not revolutionary but these be good, satisfying. French toast bores me- but this was deep-fried producing satisfying texture & savoriness, finished w/ berries, cream cheese, peanut butter. Monte Cristo had salty ham, gruyere, sour cherry jam on croissant- nothing really needs to be said beyond yum! Disappointed they didn't have the SPAM flight. Otherwise, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

They have both indoor dining as well as a small outdoor dining area as well. We ate indoors and our waitress Nikki took great care of us. There's also a bar inside with TVs around and we were able to watch the Flyers game while having dinner. We started with the cheesesteak egg rolls, which were really good. They pour different sauces onto the plate, which my son didn't like as he doesn't like the sauce, so would have been nice if they had just put them in dipping bowls instead. For our entrees, I went with the lobster ravioli special, my wife had the fish and chips, and my son had the steak frites. Portion sizes were large so we felt like we got our money's worth. Most ravioli dishes don't come with much, but there were 7-8 in this dish along with chunks of lobster on top in addition to what was inside the ravioli's. Although we were full, my wife and I split a tiramisu for dessert, which was good. It's rather loud inside. They have a shuffleboard outside the bathroom area and I believe billiards downstairs, although we didn't go down there. I'm glad our friend recommended the place and we will definitely be going back.

The setup is a little different from the Warrington location (same owners), and the menu has some differences too but it still gives that signature Cage vibe with the greenery, cool signage, and those iconic cage aesthetics. The GM James stopped by our table to make sure we were good. Good sense of humor. Shoutout to the staff because they really made the experience. Peyton at the host stand was super helpful getting us situated. Our server Jen was AMAZING!!! She was attentive, friendly, and honestly went above and beyond. She checked on us consistently, made sure everything was right, and even doubled as our photographer. Gabe also helped run food and was just as attentive. We started with drinks these drinks are so creatively made and the presentation is cool!!: one person had the Cyclops (very cool presentation with the bubble effect), I had a creamy espresso maestro martini (make sure you say creamy it was smooth and really good), the creamy is baileys. You will never walk alone drink make sure: cute!!! Elementary school A couple people ordered mocktails. The only downside here: the mocktails lacked flavor, but Jen made sure to address it right away. food: Korean tacos & tuna crispy rice - 9/10 some meat was chewy but the flavor was there. My taste buds were happy! Braised short rib hash - 10/10, super tender meat, great flavor (just wish there was a little more hash) my cousin enjoyed this over hers Steak & eggs with truffle fries - 10/10 Crab Benedict - real lump crab, great flavor 10/10 but they need to watch the poached egg, it was runny enough Chicken & waffles - 9/10 Shrimp jambalaya - 7/10, a bit dry, but they quickly added more sauce when we mentioned it Truffle fries with aïoli - 10/10, must-order Beignets - 10/10, "chef's kiss"- soft, sweet, and definitely worth getting We didn't go deep into dessert beyond the beignets, but those alone were a hit. Between the atmosphere, the service, and most of the food hitting, it made for a really enjoyable brunch. If you haven't been yet, go, you'll enjoy the experience.

I had a SmashBurger and it was perfect... the right crunch, perfect amount of cheese, and the BBQ sauce was a nice touch. Hubs had the Grind signature burger. He was also pleased but felt it was a little dry. Our friends had the Grinder w/ chicken meatballs and arrabbiata sauce, the Meatball Bowl w/ beef over squash (said the squash was the best thing ever) w/ bacon Gouda, and the Italian Melt (delicious but rich!). Four of us had fries and they are absolutely the perfect fry - pure potato taste! There was also 2 bowls of loaded baked potato soup and 2 bourbon flights for us! Everything got 2 thumbs up. We don't live nearby but we'll be back! PS... the value is there... it's priced just right!

They were a little different than standard stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were in a marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese covering them. They tasted excellent lots of gooey cheese. For the main meal I had the chicken Caesar wrap with French fries. My wife had the Margherita fresco flat bread. Everything was excellent you can tell they use local fresh ingredients in their food. The French fries were exceptionally good probably the best fresh cut fries I ever had. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our waitress did an excellent job checking in on us and keeping our drinks full. The grind also offers a bourbon tasting. We didn't try a flight of bourbon but maybe next time. I will definitely be stopping back in at the grind anytime I'm in the area. If you are ever in the area I would definitely give the grind a try you won't be disappointed!

And our experience yesterday here it was- Jumped onto Contessa's website around 5:30pm to see next available reservation as a 8pm bar slot. Took it and eagerly anticipated!! We arrived, were greeted readily and repetitively at the hostess stand. Graciously cared for in all the asks of our seating. We sat at the last two seats, facing the bar. The layout of the restaurant mirrors United- but the paint and pictures and plates give it a new look but fancy Sunday dinner feel. Decor upgrade for sure, however we sat in eyeshot of an eyesore. A very large printer with reams of paper sat behind the bar. Paperwork and office work is not for the customers dining experience. Our bartender/server was conversational, helpful and made a great mocktail. What a wonderful selection of mocktails! We tried the Apple Pie Old Fashioned and the Grapefruit Sour. Sweet and pretty. These will make wonderful cocktails once they are licensed. The rosemary sprig in the Sour hit your nose with just the right aroma. We moved to starters. Oysters- No, ran out. Ooooof. So we moved to the Beet Carpaccio and Ricotta Toast. These arrived slow. Our hunger outpaced the food...there was delay. The beets were bright, soaking, clean. This marinade gave veg and not earth. The fennel was a delicious accompaniment. The ricotta toast was tasty! The ricotta was light, airy and sweet. Gave Italian french toast. Yet would've preferred a square of focaccia, rather than a toast point. The main event brought surprise. I ordered the Cappeletti with the shaved truffle and my husband the Duck Ragu. After about 15 minutes our server returned. No Cappeletti. Bummer. However, was offered a Pappardelle feature of chef creation. A pappardelle wheel with truffle and cheese. Gave it a go. Orders up- Mood down. The pastas al dente, cooked perfect. But that was the notable success. Both dishes were lacking depth, brightness and originality. They tasted alike, not in flavors, but in soul. The Pappardelle was just there. Nothing popped. Except the charred corn. The Duck Ragu, it was just not good. Chicken pot pie campanelle. The duck flavor was lost. Plates here are small overall, so the pricing fits the portion. Which is nice to actually eat your meal and not leave with a take away. We'd love to give a Yes to Contessa, but for now an Italia-No. Rounding up for Yelp, but wanting to score a 3.5. It's the entrees, they need flair, flavor and focus. Don't be afraid to be bold. Like art, as an original painting rather than a print. Let's learn what Contessa can be!

For our first visit, we decided to share a variety of plates--and loved every single one (even a few not pictured!). We're already planning to come back with our girl group to try the multi-course tasting menu. Honestly, each dish was better than the last, and I can't wait to explore more of the menu at this new Pottstown gem. As a fan of Rivertown Taps in Phoenixville, I was so excited when I heard about this new spot opening--and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to see what's on the menu next season!

Ambiance is lovely--great decor, comfortable seating, a gorgeous bar, and live music. Fun cocktails and a solid wine list (though the "by the glass" options are a bit limited). Ultimately, though, I think the ambiance and service are doing the heaviest lifting here--it's a bit of a "vibe dining" spot. The food is definitely good, don't get me wrong...but it's not "wow," which was a little disappointing given that you're gonna be spending $$$$. (Most entrees are $30+ and they're pretty standard fare that's not especially inventive--steaks, a few pastas, obligatory short rib dish, elevated burgers, salmon.) We liked everything just fine but I didn't taste a dish that made me go "oh man, I gotta come back for that." Instead I'm thinking "maybe I should try something else next time I'm in." I do like that your entree comes with a salad. The physical menu itself could also use some work, as its quality doesn't match the care and luxury atmosphere of the place overall. Numerous misspellings and a lack of specificity on ingredients in several of the dishes that leave the diner unclear on what, exactly, they're getting. For example, there's an entree that's described simply as "grilled chicken breast served with rosemary potato wedges and grilled zucchini." Are there spices or sauces on that chicken? Are we talking just plain salt/pep? Herbs? What? Anyway, it's fine. It's a solid date night option. We'll be back.

It reminded me of a restaurant that should be in Rittenhouse Square or the like. The menu was extensive and high-end. It would've been nice if they had offered bread at the start though which they didn't. We had the tuna tartare appetizer. It was delicious and very filling. My boyfriend got the lobster mac and cheese, which was absolutely delicious. However, there wasn't much lobster. The side salads were good. I ordered lamb which I should have asked questions because I was expecting a rack of lamb and what I got was a stewed hunk of lamb on a bone next to a mushy pile of polenta covered in what looks like marinara sauce I wanted to give a four star review for this because that's not something I would've enjoyed eating and I sent it back however somebody else might've liked it very much. In fact, I think the people sitting across from us ate every last scrap of that same dish off their plate, however, I wouldn't have liked it at all. I wish I had ordered one of their steak options, which sounded delicious. I shared some of the lobster mac & cheese, and ate a lot of the appetizer so I didn't end up ordering another entrée. We would definitely go back. I just have to read them many more carefully and ask questions.
