This restaurant is SO FUN!!! A true and unique experience with a beautiful drive in rural PA! I booked this dinner for a work dinner and we really had a great time - one thing to note is they only serve beer and cider so if you want your own spirits or wine bring your own! Glad my coworker new about that! Everything we ate was delicious! I had the fish and chips and walked away very satisfied as did our customers! Will definitely be back!!

Service always good. Lovely pub. Food not as good as before. Beef on weck was just a chewy roast beef on a hard roll.

As someone who's logged more miles across the UK than a London cabbie, I can confidently say The Whip Tavern is the closest you'll get to an authentic British pub experience without having to brave Heathrow or drive on the wrong side of the road. Tucked into a patch of rolling countryside that could easily be mistaken for Gloucestershire (with the occasional sheep), The Whip serves up hearty, honest-to-goodness pub fare that feels like it was lifted straight out of a cozy inn somewhere north of Bath. The fish and chips are crisp perfection, the bangers and mash are comforting enough to make a Brit tear up, and there's always something special simmering for the weekend crowd. Speaking of specials--don't sleep on Sunday. The roast is the real deal: Yorkshire puddings that rise like a hymn and beef Wellington that would make Gordon Ramsay nod in approval (and possibly swear less). The bar is just as thoughtfully curated, with British and Irish staples on tap, a strong showing of local brews, and an impressively long list of cans for the indecisive among us. Bonus points for the BYOB wine policy, which makes for a perfect excuse to bring that bottle you've been saving for something special--or just any bottle, really. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the staff are as warm and attentive as a freshly poured Guinness. Whether you're inside by the fire or out on the porch taking in the view, The Whip Tavern isn't just a great pub for America--it's a great pub, full stop. God save the King, but long live The Whip.

It's been a long year since my last visit. Finally I return to this oasis on the countryside! Love love love The Whip! Drank bellhavens while waiting on my buddy to arrive. Sam waited on us again. She is amazing. The shrimp & grits did not disappoint. Truly wonderful. The flavors married together and made me feel like I was in Nawlins. The ambiance here is unmatched. Truly legendary. It's an experience y'all!

The ambiance is just charming, the staff were very welcoming even thou we were early for reservations. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended during the winter season. Not sure what beer to try just talk to the knowledgeable staff and they will give a little sampling. The Roasted Brussels were simply to die for...a plentiful for the price. The Shepherds Pie was wonderful full of flavor. This is a place you will want to return...I will back when the outdoor patio is open.

A lovely trip through the quaint horse county led us straight to an English style pub. I've been meaning to come here for a while, but the wait has always scared me off. It can get quite busy. Luckily we snagged a 345 reservation the day before and headed there for my birthday. Parking is also crazy, but they had complimentary valet set up right out front. The inside is adorable, dark wood, fireplaces, and cozy vibes. We were sat shortly after arriving. Our waitress was super friendly and had great recommendations. The beer selection was nice and had a good amount of mixed pours (half cider half beer). We got the black velvet (Guinness and cider). Loved it. We started with the Welsh rarebit. It was fantastic. Perfect warm cheese dip for a cold February day. My husband and I both got fish and chips with curry and mushy peas for our mains. AMAZING. Nice size piece of crispy fish. The mushy peas were out of this world. The kids split chicken fingers and fries and the Mac and cheese with tikka masala. The chicken was fantastic. It was actual chicken tenderloins hand breaded. It was the perfect little pub experience outside of the UK! Can't wait to come back. Will have to check out the patio in the summer.

If you're looking for a five star chef with a subtle farm ambiance, look no further. Devine. My husband and I came for date night and had an amazing time. Chef even came out and ask how our food was . It was ART. Please try the fresh catch it's absolutely to die for!!! Dessert was the cherry on top!

It was a perfect day to sit on patio. The food was delicious and ambiance was nice as well. Our waitress wasn't really very nice. We felt like she was annoyed with us. Did not even bring us water or ask if we wanted.

After my second hike no question that I wanted to come back here for another visit. Station Taproom is an attractive and comfortable pub with what I found to be an unexpected menu. Many dishes had an Asian influence, but with the additional plus of showcasing some exciting combinations of ingredients. VEGAN BANH MI ::: I had this on my first visit. The sandwich was made with plant-based meatballs, along with carrots, cucumber, plus much more in the mix. (I detected a note of hoisin in the mix, though not mentioned in the menu). "Meatballs" were definitely unexpected in a banh mi. WONTON NACHOS ::: On my second visit to the Taproom, which was last week, I had "wonton nachos". As per the menu, some of the ingredients were "hoisin-berry BBQ pork" as well as mozzarella and pepper jack, and wonton chips. Presentation was important, and I could see that they had spent extra time in plating the dish. A finishing touch was the "micro cilantro" that was delicately sprinkled over the top. I love cilantro, but had never seen it in "micro" form. It was very fresh, wondering now whether they grew it themselves. BEERS ::: On both my visits, "Rachel" made excellent recommendations for hazy IPA's. Great experiences both times.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.
