I bumped down to Tally's Kitchen at Bayside after a doctor's appointment at Intermed. The advertising in the building elevator is what prompted my interest. After exploring the menu while waiting to get called in by a nurse, I saw that the prices were something that I couldn't ignore. It's an inviting space and the staff was friendly. When I stopped by there was a problem with staffing, however I got probably one of the most Delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. I also tried the lemon bar, which was very good. The poor lady behind the counter I think was trying to do everything so not a lot of interaction there. I hope they get there staffing situation under control because they really do make some good food. I would recommend this place. read more

Tally's is without question my favorite spot down on Bayside. It's a little place, but wicked cozy, and the food is great. When my schedule allows it, I get down there almost every day to get lunch. They make the food pretty quickly, they're very polite and generally cheerful, and its pretty obvious my business is appreciated there. The only downside is limited parking, but honestly it isn't usually a big deal. Big fan, overall. read more

Use to go to this place when it was at Martin's point and loved the chicken salad and ice coffee with coffee cubes. New location is really cute, nice places to sit and cute decor. Sad that they are only open during week days. The breakfast sandwiches were really good. bagels were good and fresh. We liked it so much we tried to go back on New Years day but it was closed. I am a huge fan of this place. For many reasons. It is very close to where I work. I get a discount because of where I work. The girls working here are the NICEST in town. And the food is super yummy and decently priced! What more is there to need? This small, quaint little shop pumps out some amazing breakfast sandwiches (with some of the crispiest bacon anywhere), some delicious soups at lunch time (sweet potato, black bean and quinoa chili... yummmm) and amazingly creative sandwiches (try the pilgrim). And that is not even mentioning their delicious bakery creations. Whoopie pies, lemon squares, 7-layer bars, brownies, cookies and more, they have everything the sweetest tooth could ever want. Location is a bit hard, unless you work at either Drummond Woodsum or Intermed (which luckily I do), but it is definitely worth snagging a spot at Trader Joes, or behind Miss Portland and taking the very short jaunt over. I have never had a single bad thing from here (I've had some that I don't like as much, but we all have preferences). Trust me, get in here, and try breakfast. Then... come back for lunch. Sadly they aren't open for dinner, but hey I like my down time too. So get here before 3 p.m. and let them surround you with delicious, amazing, super yummy food. My favorite thing about Tally's is that they have so many things that I like, and I'm admittedly kind of picky particularly when it comes to sauces/dressings on sandwiches. I work nearby, and I eat their food about 1-2 times per month. Some of my favorites are the breakfast sandwiches (always add avocado!), Thai crispy chicken wrap, grilled chicken pesto wrap, Mediterranean ciabatta, and the peanut butter crispy square. They consistently have new, seasonal specials each week, and those are hits too--my favorite recently was a sandwich with thick cut roasted turkey (not lunch meat), brie, and cranberry sauce. My favorite soups have been a butternut squash/apple bisque and chicken and dumplings. Tally's consistently proves that their base ingredients are high quality, and that makes me even more willing to try out new combinations. The owner works in the shop and is cheerful every time I interact with her. The prices are totally fair for the quality of the food. The portions are perfect for lunch. I absolutely spend entirely too much money at Tally's. It is irresistible. I have tried almost everything on the menu and never had anything I didn't like. They also change specials weekly and they have even listened to my suggestions for specials and things to put on their menu. Almost everything is made right there. They make their own bagels, which I highly recommend with their homemade freshly made veggie cream cheese! Had an amazing lunch today from Tally's. I had the California Club and my daughter had the Chicken Salad. The bread was amazing and the serving sizes were huge. It was one of the best lunches I've had in ages. And the whoopie pies made for a special treat. The staff was great and very efficient even though they were super busy. I can't wait to go back and get a breakfast sandwich as I've been told they are the BEST and I believe it. Cute cafe with a large menu! Something for everyone. After a doctor appointment upstairs - I stopped in for lunch. My favorite sandwich happened to be the daily special. The Rachel. The last time I've had a Rachel THAT delicious was back in the old Full Belly Deli days ( in the shopping plaza ). This was a very delicious and unexpected surprise to find such a GREAT sandwich in this little cafe. Hot off the grill marble rye, loaded with turkey, swiss, coleslaw & thousand island dressing. Dropped in looking for some simple pastries/bagels. Staff was friendly enough but after we ordered did not communicate with us at all about where we could get our coffee and food. The decor is super cute and I loved the family's history on the walls over the coffee. I ordered a gluten free breakfast wrap, a Cobb salad, and a thanksgiving sandwich. Everything was delicious! The sandwich was really good, and I'd like to try other options. My only complaint is that it was a pretty basic sandwich, 4 ingredients, and almost $10. This might as well be a gas station cafe. Everything from the food to the coffee drinks is low quality. I ordered a latte from the menu and was handed a cup with espresso and ice and told I had to make it myself. Which is fine I get some places do this, but not for drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, etc. I'm not a barista, I don't know how to make those drinks. It shouldn't be on the menu if that's how it works. Or at least explain that to the customer when they order it. Overall very disappointing experience, I won't be back. read more

Confused and disappointed. We ordered two salads and two iced teas. They gave us two plastic cups filled with ice to fill ourselves, come to find out that they were out of iced tea. Which was fine, just an honest mistake. However after they refunded the teas, we got back in line to purchase two bottles of tea and they made us get out of line to help the customer behind us even though we were there first. Then immediately grabbed the two cups of ice (which we could have used for our new tea) and put the cups back on the stack- even after we had touched them, saying that the cups need to be payed for (which we would have happily payed for given they're probably 3 cents). I was taken aback since we are in a pandemic and reusing cups if obviously unsanitary. It is very concerning. I also don't see why loosing less than a dollar on cups is such a big deal for your company. My friend and I have both worked in the food industry so we know how overwhelming working with customers can be. However from my experience in the industry It would be much more effective/ time efficient to give the customer 2 plastic cups than make a hassle over following the restaurants rules- I'm sure she would not have gotten in trouble for that. read more
