This is a spot my wife and I have driven past many times and had in the back of our minds for a place we needed to visit. Looking for a Saturday morning coffee and breakfast sandwich we decided to finally check it out. Parking lot has plenty of spaces. Once inside you will see it is quite small in size, but does have a small amount of seating for those looking to eat/drink there. The menu boards were overwhelming at first but a large majority of it is their lunch sandwich/wrap offerings. I did appreciate the options you can choose from bread wise and other customizations you can make. Drink wise my wife went with The Lavender iced latte and I got the iced Snickerdoodle. Both were extremely flavorful and were well made. Either one and I suspect any of their other drink would be a no brainer to get again. Breakfast wise we each got a sausage, egg, & cheese on a bagel. Which those came out steaming hot and were made well too. Will need to return to give their breakfast burritos a try! Service was friendly and both food an drinks arrived quickly. Also another note on service, when originally ordering they forgot to discount us for a BOGO deal they have going but when I went up to grab the drinks they said they removed one of the drinks to make it right and apologized. This will be a spot my wife and I will return to for both the drinks and food. We did end grabbing 2 of the 3 window seats and do wish it had no painting on the windows so we could watch outside better. It's a space that isn't trying to be over the top or blow your mind with the vibes but they deliver delicious food and good drinks for you with friendly and fast service. read more

Both the wrap and sandwich were filling and flavorful, I honestly was overwhelmed by the amount of options we had to pick from! Every option comes with a side of chips that you get to choose! Crooked Mile is a really cute little coffee shop. My friends and I stopped by on our way back to Boston to fuel up before the ride. They have all the necessities, including your standard coffee drinks and plenty of sandwich options. The service was a bit on the slower side, given it's a smaller shop, but that's to be expected. We had never been here before. Needed a pick me up and love to try out new places. Went in..cute place. Amazing sandwich menu. Really wanted to come back to try one of them. However the lady working the counter was very unpleasant. We had put in our order and before she had started on them, my fiance asked to add some cinnamon in the drink.... again...before she had started making it. She literally pointed to the cinnamon shaker and said " it's over there" turned around and continued. He didnt want it sprinkled on top, he wanted it in his drink... the one we paid for.. the one she had yet to start making and could have EASILY added some into the drink. Absolutely awful customer service. Bottom line is she acted like she didnt want to be there and that we, as customers, were an annoyance...Hate to say it but if she doesnt want to be there.... she shouldn't be working there. read more

I go here often when I'm at my mom's, almost always ordering an 8 oz dark roast and an egg and cheese on their 12 grain bread which I find very satisfying. I've started to try the specialty lattes; the Nutty Englishman was divine. The staff are casually eccentric and usually smiling and ready to give their tips on what to order. They have, at long last, opened up the small dining area (the shop was practically destroyed by a drunk driver) and was closed for about a year. The dining area is separated from the line to order/pick up by a half height wall. They have recently begun taking online orders for pickup which are placed on a table placed against this wall, on the other side from the dining tables. Crooked Mile has become one of my favorite little sandwich spots. They have a good-sized menu for coffee drinks, and a big sandwich/salad selection (basically anything you can get as a sandwich or wrap can also be a salad). Fancy? Nope. Reliably delicious? Definitely! A couple of my favorites are the Greek wrap, the Cobb salad or wrap, and the Buffalo chicken wrap, which has a wonderfully spicy dressing. You can sit inside or out, but I tend to grab and go--the Brighton Ave. location is easy to swing into on your way somewhere else. Very friendly staff too, and my orders never take long even at peak times. The Old Port location for some reason doesn't have the same vibe and I definitely recommend the Brighton spot in particular. I've frequented this place a few times in the last few months. It can be bustling as people come by to pick up and grab their coffee/sandwiches. Casual grab and go. This place is perfect for that. However... they just raised their prices again!! And they don't offer wifi (which I don't understand because the seating area is always empty anyways). I just love this place. Always greeted with a smile, quick and friendly service, and the price point is perfect for specialty drinks (cheaper than the chains actually!). They're open at 7 too which makes for a great reason to stop on my way to work for the occasional fancy treat :) My only criticism (and this is very minuscule, to the point where I didn't even want to change my five star rating because of it, but felt like it's worth mentioning for those who are unfamiliar with the location) is that it can be kind of tough to get in and out of the parking lot because it is on the corner of two very busy streets. But if you play the lights right and find a way to get around the traffic when you're exiting and entering, this place will be totally worth your efforts! The coffee is bomb! Enjoy :) read more

What a fabulous place ! We had been visiting breweries but always love a good cocktail. This place was recommended to us by some locals we chatted with. It's a very pretty welcoming place. I imagine it would be great for wedding shoes. Bach parties. Etc. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable and will help you pick out what to try. What a great location, well for me that is. But isn't they what my review is? My perspective. Yes sir It works well for me when I have to work I Portland. I can drop my dog off at a Happy Tails then cross over on Stevens Ave and then campus down the street. Very convenient. They open early enough to be ready when I arrive. The staff is so friendly and make a pretty good iced vanilla latte. They have a great bakery selection but if you get there before 7:30 you might have to ask as they are prepping the items out back for display. They usually arrive a bit after 7:00. Yeah, I go there often to know the morning routine. The bagels are great and hit the spot, but they get it all. Muffins, scones, bagels, and the fancy ones too. Glad they were able to reopen after the drive thru incident. Those who frequent know what I am talking about. They do offer ice cream as well, but have not experienced that part yet. But look forward. Check it out, get a coffee and a treat as you are passing by but not through. :-) read more

Overall, I enjoyed this place! It was a cute and a nice vibe. Small, neighborhood cafe, with extensive choices for lunch and breakfast. The workers themselves were very nice and accommodating to my strong hatred for tomatoes. They had drinks that you could chose from and you got a free bag of chips. They had limited seating inside and practically none outside which was a bummer if I do say so myself. The sandwiches themselves were overall, mid. It was disappointing to say the least, and due to the amount of money I know owe my sister because I "forgot my wallet" it's safe to say i'm unimpressed. I had a few minutes left while my son was at an appointment and being mid afternoon, coffee was called for. I was about 15 minutes too early for iced cream (bummer) but this was certainly fine. A large is the standard 4(ish) dollars with tax. Tasted alright and they do offer milk alternatives if they are needed/wanted. Standard seems to be 2% milk tho. Went in for a simple BLT sandwich on toast with avocado (which was extra). I took the sandwich home and opened it to enjoy.. there was a small dollop on the guac on the sandwich, no mayo, and one tiny slice of tomato on one side of the sandwich that was cut in half. The bacon was clumped together and that pre-cook microwave type that you find at the grocery store. Thought this would be worth the try because how can a BLT be bad? Don think I will be going back to this spot. Maybe for a coffee sometime but definitely not a sandwich. read more

I'm here to tell, no, RAVE about the breakfast sandwich, which I believe they make at both locations. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the sandwiches and salads are also spectacular, but there's something about a really wonderful breakfast sandwich that sets this place apart from other cafes. My favorite order is the sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin with veggies. The crucial part for me here is the veggies. Their regular sausage egg and cheese is wonderful since the egg is nice and fluffy, balancing out the sausage patty and all smothered in beautifully melted cheese... but the addition of veggies (tomato, red onion and shredded carrots) really elevates the texture and flavor to a new level. I added the veggies on a whim one day and clearly enjoyed it since I've been back to have it 4 out of the last 5 days. If you've never added veggies to your breakfast sandwich, do it- I promise you won't be disappointed. One warning though- the sandwich comes out piping hot, so be careful! read more

This place has been under construction for what seemed like FOREVER. I always drove by this little corner and when I saw that it was going to be a little coffee shop, I knew I had to try it out when they opened. Obviously, opening during quarantine is tough but it seems like they're holding their ground! When I placed an order for a breakfast sandwich over the phone, they took payments over the phone and assured me that there was a "one way" traffic through the building to assure that I would not bump into anybody I didn't need to come into contact with. After ten minutes, I walked through their back entrance (their only place to enter the building) and a table was set up and a bag with my name on it for contactless pick ups! The breakfast sandwich ( sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel) was huge and so delicious. The egg was full of flavor and everything was a great ratio so I could taste everything in all of my bites. This is my new go-to place! Can't wait to try out their lunch menu :) read more
