First time coming to this location because it's always packed. But I see why! Atmosphere is festive with bright colors. Large seating area at the bar. Food is still great and service is attentive. Great selection from Tex- Mex to wings! Food came out quicker than expected! Would definitely come back. And they have happy hour too!

Mutual visit. 2 hours & 45 minutes wait is what my family and I was quoted, on a Saturday evening about 8pm. Parking was spacious, but very limited from the crowd, folks were sitting in their cars, I would figure it's folks that in the long waiting list. This location is beautiful, bigger and very colorful. Service seems friendly. I'll be back when it's less traffic

Friend saw this place on IG and we had to try as it looked awesome and reviews and social media posts and pics looked good. Opens at 11am so we showed up at 10:20 and got in line at 10:45 and we were approx 15-20 in line and the line grew fast behind us. Highly suggest you show up early and get in line early. They give you a set time frame to eat and leave of 1 hour and 45 mins from the time you're seated. To keep wait line and time down. They do have another location at I-10 and Washington very small compared to this location with very limited parking and longer wait line. But they also took over the old Denny's next door and made Bueno Dias Dona Letis so you have two options at other location. But longer wait and less parking. Opened and we were seated right away and waiter arrived with waters and took our drink order. Drinks came within mins and we ordered right away as we researched ahead of time and figured out that we wanted the Surf and Turf burrito. Next time I'll try the flautas or birras tacos. AC was kicking so if you cold natured bring jacket or sweater. Place was clean and well staffed and service was awesome Portions are big and prices are a little higher then other places I've been but not to much higher for the quality and portions you get. We ordered the soft serve margarita to try $20 each and you can add tajin and chamoy very good but a little weak on liquor but you can taste it. Next visit we will get regular top shelf and see if stronger. The surf and turf burrito had approx 4-5 jumbo shrimp inside and the steak fajita was seasoned good and tasted great. Has lettuce tomato slices and sour cream. We will return again for sure.

Okay... so let me just go ahead and expose myself real quick. I've been living in Houston for over 20 years and somehow never heard of Dona Leti's?! Yeah... I'm disappointed in me too. Now that I've been, I completely understand why this place is packed to capacity every single weekend. The vibe? Immaculate. It's giving energy, it's giving community, it's giving "you're about to have a good time." But let's talk about that wait. Baby... almost 2 hours. Any other day, I would've politely exited stage left and found somewhere else--but I needed to see if the hype was really hype-ing. And let me tell you... the hype is VALID. This isn't just a taco spot--this is an experience. From the margaritas (dangerously good, by the way ) to the rich, flavorful, fall-apart tender birria tacos... yeah, they did what needed to be done. If you're a birria lover? Step forward. This is your moment. This is your place. This is your heaven on earth. Will I come back? Absolutely. Will I mentally prepare for the wait next time? Also yes. 10/10 -- highly recommend.

I tried the enchiladas at Doña Leti's Mexican Restaurant and they were delicious. The tortillas were soft, the filling was well seasoned, and the sauce had a rich, homemade flavor that really stood out. Served with rice and beans, the meal was simple, comforting, and satisfying. Definitely a great choice if you are craving authentic Mexican food. The customer service is the best with a great family friendly atmosphere.

Atmosphere is nice Wait time horrible reason being we were told wait time was three minutes literally eight parties behind us. We seated first then when I approached the cashier, I was told and pour more parties that was after us was seated, so I had to get a little forceful in order to be seat. Our waitress Ruca is what helped.she added a star because of her customer service! The food was good though and the drinks were delicious!

Believe the hype! My friend has always told me the food here is bomb and she was right. I've heard the vibes at the other location are better but I went in the anniversary of the meter land location and they had a $3 marg special. There was an hour+ long wait but we found some extra high top chairs and pulled up to the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the food menu and told me about up charges in advance. I got the birria enchiladas and it was huge and sooo good. I'll be back! They have parking but was almost full when I went. Bathroom was clean.

The two-hour wait was long, but the text notification system made it manageable to run errands and come back. Once seated, the excellent service and delicious appetizers, specifically the trio with queso, guac, and street corn, really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly patient, informative, and attentive throughout the night. While the lemonade and rum drinks were highlights, the main courses fell flat. My enchiladas and the tortas weren't impressive, which was disappointing after such a strong start. What I didn't care for with the main course was the quality of the ingredients.Just tasted not good quality. It tasted like a mouthful of food with no actual taste appeal. Come for the vibes and starters, but the entrees could use more quality ingredients. The seasoning wasn't necessarily the issue. It was the quality of the tortillas and the bread and the meat.

Leftovers! And this and it's the appetizer.

I regret to have to post this but... this afternoon we visited Dona Leti's and unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. After seeing reviews of this restaurant up and down my timeline and a high recommendation from my husband's friend, we visited today for lunch and it was a huge disappointment. It started with a 30 minute wait at 11:30 am which lead us to the bar. It is there we initially discovered the prices to include a $17 house margarita. Once seated at a table we ordered our food, a combination plate and chicken enchiladas and we were surprised to learn that for the combination plate, I wasn't able to pick corn tortillas for my tacos and flour for the enchiladas and quesadillas, all tortillas had to be the same, no exceptions. This should have been a major red flag that plates must be premade/preassembled but I ordered anyway. Needless to say both plates were disappointing and salty. I can admit that the colorful decor and overall vibe, plus all the influencer postings has led to its popularity, but for a true foodie like my husband and I, the food and drinks aren't worth it. ‍

Plastic bag in my fajita steak burrito!

This was my first time going to Dona Leti's after not only seeing the hype online but hearing about it from my boyfriend who is a regular customer. We went this past weekend and I understand they have very long wait times. However, I think it's ridiculous to only give people 3 minutes to claim their table after making them wait for an hour or more. At first, the food and service was great. I ordered the Surf n Turf egg rolls, Birria Tacos, and Fajitas Steak Burrito. I brought my food home to finish and I bit into a plastic bag in my burrito!!!! I'm so upset with this experience especially since I'm from out of town. I won't be going again.

It was very packed on a Friday around 4:30pm. It was a little difficult to find parking, but there's more than a decent amount. The wait was about 45 min for a party of 6. You can order drinks at the bar to help pass the time. The drinks are strong! Even has a warning on the drink menu. We tried their popular soft serve margarita and it was delicious! Reminded me of frozen yogurt and it was a little on the sweeter side. I had their quesabirria tacos and they were delicious! 10/10 would get again. There were a lot of great options. My friend got the chicken quesadilla (not pictured) and they killed it.

Dona was highly recommended by a few people I know, so I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon before the crowd arrived. I ordered the mini HH nachos, an HH Rita on the rocks, the Banana Pudding, and the Don cocktail. The HH items were okay. I wouldn't order the (1) surf & turf nachos again because the shrimp were bigger than I expected. The (2) strawberry-mango Rita on the rocks was good, but I've had better. I enjoyed the (3) banana pudding, & the Don with watermelon, cucumber, & tequila was refreshing but strong. I'm usually a rum punch kind of girl. Leek provided excellent service behind the bar. He was engaging & knowledgeable. Overall, it's a nice establishment with a great crowd, cool drinks, and decent food. I would try it again.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I ordered the Side to the Sun Rises (gin, yuzu, mint, cucumber) which was light, refreshing, and well balanced. I would recommend it if you enjoy gin-based cocktails with a slightly fruity flavor. Overall, a fun spot with great vibes and definitely worth checking out!
