Pork Salad (similar to a vermicelli bun, with eggrolls, ground pork, grilled pork & comes with a sauce to pour over). Very fresh & tasty.

Great customer service, delicious unique food, casual atmosphere. Would recommend. Let's keep our local small businesses supported.

The entire amount of meat in my pho. Arrived separate but already cooked.

After a day of feeling ill I thought pho and a noodle dish would be just the cure, and I've been meaning to try this place seeing it's very local and had good reviews. I'm not sure why. My husband tried the spring rolls, which he described as on the verge of rancid. I immediately put my pho together, shocked the meat came cooked, but whatever, tossed it in. Heck no, pulled that out. Thick sliced (compared to the shaved steak I'm used to in steak pho) and obviously chewy. I drank some of the broth, it was kind of nice. The phad se ew, I mean, what can I say, I didn't try it. It didn't smell good and didn't look at all like anything I'd want to eat--I've had that dish many times elsewhere, I've made it, this pile of carrots on glop was not appealing. They DID mostly refund me. Had to argue for it. And took the uneaten food back, lol, fine, I sure hope they tossed it.

I got lunch to-go for myself and my cousin at Tamayo's 2 today. It was the first time either of us had any food from there. The people were really friendly, and the food was ready pretty quickly. It was after lunch-rush time, so there was no one else in there. I got the tamarind duck, and my cousin got tamarind chicken. We also shared Tamayo's chicken curry. The curry was one of the best I've ever had, although it seemed a little more than 1 star spicy to me, so maybe err on the side of caution when choosing spiciness level. We didn't know what to expect from the tamarind sauce, having never had it before, but we both thought it was amazing. I would have the tamarind duck every day if I could. I briefly fantasized about moving to the Bremerton area so I could be near it. If you have the chance, do yourself a favor and try it.

Super good and authentic! The staff is so friendly. The duck curry was flavorful and tender. The veg fried rice was delicious. I'm inspired to try more on their menu.

We got the duck curry, duck Banh mi, tofu mi kah ti, and beef pho (not pictured) and all were delicious! We also got crab Rangoons and Vietnamese iced coffee that we enjoyed. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Very attentive and friendly staff!

The food was fantastic! It took a little bit of time for the food to come out, especially evening takeout/eat in rush, but worth the wait.

On a weekend lunchtime, the place was super empty. Servers were friendly and attentive too. For food, we ordered the Thai iced tea, papaya salad, the Lao sausage, Khao poon, and nam Khao. Thai iced tea was sweet, but I could very much taste the tea flavor, it was refreshing. The Lao style papaya salad is extremely fishy and shrimpy but super umami and tasty. The little baby crab legs are a fun surprise too haha. Lao sausage had a satisfyingly crunchy skin, and the sausage inside was flavorful. Khao poon big flavor and yum too. The pork rib pieces did smell a bit though which I wasn't a huge fan of, but didn't deter me that much. Nam Khao was definitely the standout dish for me. I love fried rice with ginger, so this really hit the spot. Add in the crunch of the charred bits of rice, the slight chew from the rice itself, and the umami from the fish sauce. Omg. Wrapping it in lettuce can get a bit messy but it's so good in lettuce too Overall wowow. Portions are really big too, so we had a ton of leftovers to bring home. And I'll be dreaming about the food here for awhile haha

I came with a group of eight and yes a majority of us are Lao so we knew what to order! We got Soup Nor Mai, Sai Oua, Nam Khao, Laab Sein, and a Som Tum platter to share between the eight of us! Family style never goes wrong! Of course, we got some Khao Niew to pair with our food. Everything was so good! I was excited to eat the Soup Nor Mai because I don't eat it often at home. My friends and I agreed it was pretty good to what we have at home! If you are looking for authentic Lao food up north, Sabai Sabai is right there!

Other places will charge extra for the large size, or up charge for extra broth/noodles. Here, they give you a large portion upfront. Amazing. Also, you don't have to add hoisin or anything - broth comes with the perfect flavor already. You can add other toppings to your liking. My husband ordered (to my surprise) chicken noodle soup. He is normally a spicy curry type person, and I was very skeptical about his choice. Well, this is not your average chicken noodle soup. If anything, this is the furthest thing from it, in the best way. The noodles are thick, soft and chewy. They slightly remind me of mochi, although they're not sweet. The broth is also subtle, flavorful and a different taste profile from the pho. Everyone enjoyed this dish, especially my little toddler. The sausage was very flavorful, moist, and paired nicely with the sauce (which was slightly spicy). And, the pork belly was the perfect brown color, soft, moist, and decadent. Forgot to take a photo though - too busy digging into the food. We are so glad to discover such a good restaurant!! Vibe is pretty relaxed. Staff was very quick and efficient. All in all, would happily come back to try more dishes.

My cousin thought the Nam Khao Tod was a little sweet. It came with a little piece of lime, but probably wasn't enough lime. I really liked the Nam Khao Tod; it came with lots of veggies. The long bean salad was also pretty good; it tasted and smelled just as how a good papaya salad should. We enjoyed our food, the only problem was we didn't get any service after we received our food. He never once checked up on us once. My cousin bit into a spicy pepper, and drank all of her water. He never came to refill, so she started drinking my water. We had been done for about 15 min, just sitting and talking, waiting for him to come by. I kept picking at my food while I was waiting, even though I was full already. Finally, my cousin went up to him to ask for boxes. Prices are pretty decent. Maybe I'll come back for takeout.

Some days it's a hit or miss if i'm going to be honest, like for the papaya salad it's like they don't put enough padaek but 9 times out of 10 they do it good. The spot itself is tucked inside a small grocery store, which gives it a really homey, lowkey vibe. It's not fancy at all, but that's part of the charm you're here for the food, and it delivers every time. And if you're looking at my photo... ignore the seafood boil they don't sell that here, I just brought it into the mix because I was feeling extra and felt like a big back.

Kinda funny though because it doesn't immediately feel like southeast Asian? Maybe a mix of western and Asian Service is a littttle slow, but the food and everything came out fast. I ordered the lemongrass limeade soda, the Lao burger, and mango sticky rice. The soda was super refreshing, and wasn't too sweet. The Lao burger was super yummy and juicy. I liked the sauce and veggies, but I wish they had added more. The patties were also a tad too salty in some spots. I also tried the Lao sausage entree which comes with rice and sides of veggies. The sausage and sauce were really flavorful, but the veggies didn't really pair well with it. The menu also says you get a choice of rice and sauce, but the server never asked what we wanted. Mango sticky rice was pretty good. I liked that it came warm, but the coconut sauce was a bit too sweet for me. Overall, a pretty good spot! I'd definitely come back to try the other dishes. I'd also come early in the evening, because a line formed pretty quickly.
