I was super hesitant about this place because of the reviews, but they were all about nails and not eyebrows so as I waited I flipped through the comments and found a couple things to be true. 1. They're a bit rude. I waited for 15 minutes for no reason, the waxing chair was empty and the woman who was going to do my eyebrow waxing was free while I waited.. 2. They don't give you much direction, I didn't know where to go or how long tge wait was. 3. She rushed with my eyebrows, she needed to pluck a few more hairs on the same eyebrow she messed up and I told her I didn't want much taken off, just cleaned up with my natural arch. When she started off shaping my eyebrows with small scissors that gave me a little hope. Now I Will admit she didn't royally mess my eyebrows up but perfection is key and I rarely get that. I've been a customer at Tammi's Super Nails ever since we moved to Florida six years ago. It was handy to cut through Burlington to get there, but now that Burlington has moved, it is a real schlep, especially for a senior citizen with mobility issues, with the shortest route being through Penney's. So I drove all the way there and parked, hiked through Penney's and walked into a basically empty salon. There were two techs and one customer. I was told they were "understaffed today," and told to come back tomorrow. I asked if I could wait to get a pedicure and was told No by the tech who was doing a pedi. She told me to come back tomorrow with zero attempt at accommodating me. I've never been really happy with this place, just went because of familiarity. I'm done. read more

I called this shop and asked if tammi could do my nails, which she agreed to do. I wanted to remove the gel polish and get done one done. She proceeded to file my nail with the drill then had to me soak in acetone She kept filing my natural nail which bothered me because I want healthy nails under my gel manicure. My nails came out ok, not the best by decent. One good thing is the color selection are fantastic! read more

I tried 2 emails and calling over 10 times - all but once I was hung up on before anything was said and then the one time they didn't quickly hang up, nobody said anything - just me going "hello, hello, hello?" so I ended up hanging up. Guess I'll call someone else for a gift card. OLD REVIEW: Came in for 2 adult pedicures and a toddler's first mani/pedi. Totally happy with the service and results. My wife went in to this place to get a $29 pedicure, since the place she usually goes to had a 3 hour waiting time and since we were already here she went in sat on the chair and get her feet soaked etc. During the pedicure the employee there started harrasing my wife with up charge treatments while my wife was getting her "pedicure", my wife only wanted the normal $29 pedicure and that's it " Some people take this time to relax they don't want to be harrased". The employee kept telling her "why does she not get the massage and the hot towel treatment?", she kept asking her "why does she not get the gel nail polish?" and my wife kept saying no, the employee kept harrasing her almost to the point were my wife felt uncomfortable. THIS IS THE BEST PART, the employee did not remove all the dead skin off my wife's heal or foot, when wife asked if she was not going to remove the dead skin of her heel, she told my wife that if she wanted all the skin removed she would have to get the upcharge treatment. My wife kept sending me pictures of her feet and I was upset, I went inside and spoke to the manager and when the manager confronted the employee and asked why the employee did not remove all the dead skin off my wife's feet the employee had the BALLS to lie to the manager in front of my wife that she could not because she had a small crack on her heel and that she did not want to hurt her, I called her BS and asked her if it was not true that she told my wife that she had to pay extra for her to take that skin off? The employee got defensive and started saying that "we want more work but we did not want to pay more", how much more time would it have taken her to take that little bit of extra dead skin off? The manager proceeded to leave and do nothing about it and proceeded to charge me for this crappy and incomplete service. Meanwhile the lady sitting next to wife who was a regular could not understand why this employee was saying all these things when she goes there and gets the $29 pedicure and they take all the dead skin off her feet without an upcharge. I proceeded to explain to them that if they are going to charge more for extra dead skin removal they need to get that posted on the sign with the price if that's the case, I would gladly pay, if I knew upfront, don't try to lie and force things on people, not everyone wants OR has the time or even money "if that's the case" to get the hot towel, massage and gel nail polish. In other words they forcefully WANT you to pay for the upcharged treatments no matter what or they won't do the full pedicure. My wife goes to Wal-Mart to get her nails done and for the same price they even put candle wax on her feet, give her massage and put a nice mint lotion, now I understand why the Wal-Mart nail place has a 3 hour wait, because they do a BETTER JOB and don't harras, sucker or lie to people. read more

My daughter had the most horrific and torturous experience in her entire life. So with that being said this place doesn't even get one star. Huge thumbs down, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. No one deserves this type of service. They are unprofessional and rude. My daughter was wanting to take off a set of acrylic nails and get a new set on. The nail tech ended up using another plastic nail tip to wedge under her current nail tips to rip them off. The nail tech ended up ripping off part of her real nail and on another finger ripped it half way off. My daughter decided at that point to not get a new nail set put on. She decided to pay and leave. The nail tech then proceeded to charge her $15 for removing the nails. Mind you the acrylics were not all the way off at this point. My experience was horrible. I've heard good things from others mostly about their eyebrows but i went for my nails. It was the worst experience I've ever had in a salon. One nail isn't straight and they're very thin. She was rushing through my nails. It was 7:30. My nails didn't even go all the way to the nail bed. I went early this morning for a pedicure. During the pedicure the products they were using on my les burned and itched my skin. I have never had a reaction at other salons. Tammis has been in the mall for several years. I tried them once and went running back to my usual salon. I recently had to give tammis a second try and sadly my usual nail tech sold her salon and retired so i cant go running back. Now i understand nail techs are in the salons to make money. However, to look me in the eye and tell me that i will be charged 5 dollars more having my nails shaped the way i like them and yet another 5 dollars for the length i like because anything other than short and in the same shape as hers is hard to do tells me 1.She is confusing me with someone who will believe that line of bull 2.if shaping and length is are issues for her, shes clearly incompetent and should find a different career 3.This is just another low class salon of pocket munchers and i wont be back. read more

Rating 2 stars due to Gordons attitude (the older man that collects money).tammi is best in the salon, yet Gordons rudeness with potential clients is a turnoff. Terrible, Terrible place! I was looking for somewhere new to go since I am new to Lakeland and I regret the moment i chose this salon. I was extremely overpriced for acrylic nails without design or anything! I paid $48 for acrylic nails! I was charged for them to be shaped coffin, charged for them being "long" but yet they are short! I was charged for polish and for removing a set I had on. Which was the WORST experience in getting gel nails removed! Any normal salon dips your hands in acetone so it can melt off, well this guy took a cuticle remover and tried to literally tear the gel of my fingers, he even cut into my skin and shredded what was my natural nails! I asked him to please do the acetone dip and he said no. I complained to him it hurt and he decided to use the machine and saw down the gel to the core of my nail to the point it was burning! He also filed my nails so roughly i was tense and he asked me to relax but it was painful. I did not complain until i was sat to dry regular nail polish under a UV light which is a joke! My polish was messed up so i politely asked it be fixed, thats when all hell broke loose! The owner was rude and when i asked at that point to be explained what they charged me he accused me of lying to get a discount which is the most judgemental thing to say! I actually tipped the tech out of respect even though he was lousy so for the owner to insult me is a joke and he does not deserve business if he carries himself this way. He accused me of lying and didnt even let me dry my nails before asking me to leave rudely! NEVER AGAIN will i go there and i beg you to not waste your time. There are places that give you gel nails for less and nowhere near the treatment here. Also a TERRIBLE choice of polish! Im going to give 0 stars if I can. Came for a pedicure because my usual nail salon was closed about time I got off. Pedicure was WORSE... got out the chair and feet was rushed and no effort at all. No one ever checked to see if my feet was dry. Expressed my disappointment to the manager and she just ignored my issue. Two of the employees were playing and cursing. So unprofessional. I went to their salon today to have a pedicure done. The nail technician did a good job with the spa with regards to scrubbing my feet and legs but not with the pedicure itself. She only removed the previous nail polish and buffed my nails. When she was about to apply the nail polish, I told her (for the 3rd time) to cut my nails and at least clean the sides of the nail. She is Vietnamese and probably does not understand English well so when the American owner Gordon Brown came by, I told him what I was trying to explain to the lady. Instead of explaining to her, he told me that I had a bad case of nail fungus (which I don't) and that the nail tech already scraped and my nails could not be cleaned any further. Now I have my nails done regularly and I know what clean nails should look like. She did not even file my nails straight. I told the owner I would just pay for the spa and have my nails done somewhere else if he can't find someone who can do it properly. He said, "No, I want you to leave. Don't come back." Then he asked me to pay $29 for it, which is the amount including the nail cleaning and polish. I do not agree paying full price for a service I was unhappy about and he said just pay $20 which I think was still unfair. I wouldn't have minded if he was good-mannered, as I was a customer. I've had my nails done in this salon before when the previous manager was Vietnamese and have not had any issue, nor when I have it done in other salons. I guess this owner is new and he does not know how to address a customer's needs. He was not even apologetic nor offered a way to have this reconciled. Really poor customer service. read more

Worst customer service I have EVER received. Got white tips with gel powder and shellac polish put on my nails and 3 days later they were yellow and a finger was cracked. I am not a smoker and don't use a tanning bed but she tried to tell me it was my natural nail that did this. I've never had this issue before. She even asked ladies who were also sitting in the salon and they even said they were yellow. She would not take them off or refund my money. Went in nov 9 to get nails done for my brothers wedding. They were very rude and in a rush did a very sloppy job and i have already had a nail fall off two days after i got them done.
